  1. This trip report has given me a whole new appreciation of Europe. Are US parks really so uptight about fun things that don't pose any danger for even slightly sensible people? I'm really glad that Europe isn't as sue happy as the USA seems to be. Honestly, the big bouncy things that you encountered in Sommerland Sjaelland and another park seem pretty harmless to me. Maybe I'm too European to see all the dangers everywhere Anyhow, I really enjoyed reading this TR! Glad you guys had such an amazing and wonderful trip!
  2. That looks like such an amazing amount of fun!! The stories EB tells me and seeing all the pictures on the twitter feed and in the TRs makes me want to go there so bad! We'll for sure be trying to get on the 2016 trip and I honestly can't wait
  3. While the POV is nice and gives you a general idea it doesn't do the ride justice at all. Especially the coaster parts are just so much fun and you really get that "wheeee!" feeling. Or at least our group did. You should all go to Europa Park and experience it yourselves It really hurts that I'm driving right past the park next week on my way to Italy, with no time to go in for a quick visit
  4. Mine is of EB and me riding Euro-Mir in Europapark last month.
  5. No need to watch. I can hear the neighbors shout and jump up and down when something happens, lol.
  6. ^ Haha, I was wondering about that. Looks like a nice park with some interesting rides!
  7. Wow! I knew about the dog fart coaster, but I didn't know the entire park is like that. Wonder what the candy tastes like
  8. Oh wow! I hope they do more projects in Europe. Of course Wildfire looks amazing, but something in Germany or the UK would be perfect! I can't wait to try my first RMC
  9. Efteling next Friday, yay!! Time for some more Joris en de Draak!
  10. We were lucky enough to attend one of these and against all expectations we got to ride the coaster and the kiddy flat rides in the Arthur hall. The Macks told us that they are working as hard as they can to get everything finished but they wouldn't make any promises as to when the Arthur area would officially open.
  11. Arthur is really cool!! The themeing is great and inside the hall they switch between daytime and nighttime every so often. The powered coaster is a really fun ride. We had the chance to ride it twice and if there had been more time I would have loved to ride it more. I think it's a very nice addition to the park
  12. I'm sorry that the Dutch weather was so terrible. Glad you had a fun trip regardless! I think the plate you had would just be called saté met friet/patat (satay with fries). As far as I know there's no fancy name for it.
  13. It looks like you're all having so much fun!! I better start saving for the 2016 trip
  14. Thank you for this TR. I've only been to the large parks but it looks like there's enough fun stuff that a visit to the smaller parks is in order
  15. I live in the Netherlands and while Walibi Holland is the closest (20 min.) I consider Efteling (1.5 hr) my home park.
  16. I'm another one who doesn't really get this kind of rollercoaster. Last week I rode Sky Scream at Holiday Park and it's just not really my cup of tea. The first time was fun because it's so different, but after that it was just weird and not all that comfortable. This Chinese sky loop knock off looks a lot less intense and I would ride it, given the chance, but I don't expect too much from it.
  17. Mine was Python at Efteling some three years ago. It took me a while, but I'll ride anything with or without inversions now
  18. Boomerang, Toverland, the Netherlands
  19. Hi there! I'm Anne and I'm EB's girlfriend. After our mini trip in Germany last weekend there's no denying that I have a coaster gene anymore, so I thought this would be a good time to register here I'm 24 years old, live in the Netherlands and I'm studying Equine Business Management. In my spare time I'm a miniature tack maker for model horses, scale 1:9. As far as roller coasters go I'm still pretty unexperienced with 33 strict in total, but I've ridden a couple of great ones already (Expedition GeForce, Troy). So far Troy is my favorite. I live 20 minutes from Walibi Holland but I consider Efteling my home park, since I've been going there once every year for as long as I can remember. Since two weeks I'm happy to say I have an annual pass for Efteling, yay!! Chances are I'll be joining EB on a TPR trip sometime in the future, but in the meantime we'll keep doing weekend trips closer to home. Also, I like dragons.
