http://www.nj.com/ocean/index.ssf/2014/07/six_flags_entertainer_charged_with_secretly_recording_women_in_dressing_room.html Six Flags entertainer charged with secretly recording women in dressing room MaryAnn Spoto/The Star-Ledger By MaryAnn Spoto/The Star-Ledger Email the author | Follow on Twitter on July 09, 2014 at 12:17 PM, updated July 09, 2014 at 4:56 PM Six Flags Great Adventure entertainer has been charged with secretly video taping female performers in their dressing room, Jackson police said today JACKSON — A Six Flags Great Adventure employee has been charged with secretly videotaping female entertainers as they changed in their dressing room, authorities said today. Leonard Vasile Jr., 25, of South Plainfield, was charged last Thursday with invasion of privacy from incidents that allegedly started last fall, said Jackson police Lt. Steven Laskiewicz. Laskiewicz said representatives of Six Flags contacted the police department on July 3 after they were alerted to possible criminal activity by an entertainer working in the park. An investigation by Detectives Mitch Cowit and Ed Howe revealed that Vasile had secretly set up a computer to video record female entertainers in a dressing room. Vasile got into a private trailer used by dancers and entertainers and had set up the computer to record them as they were dressing and undressing, Laskiewicz said. He said the recording started in the fall when the park features Fright Fest and ended shortly before the incident was reported. The activity did not involve any members of the general public, he said. The investigation is continuing with the help of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office’s computer crimes unit and park representatives to try to determine whether there were other victims, Laskiewicz said. After his arrest, Vasile was released on $25,000 bail, Laskiewicz said. Anyone with additional information about the case is asked to call Cowit or Howe at 732-928-1111. Six Flags issued a statement this afternoon but wouldn't say how long Vasile worked at the park or how the alleged incidents came to light. "The safety and well-being of our guests and employees is our top priority and we have zero tolerance for any inappropriate behavior," the statement said. "When this situation was brought to our attention, we immediately turned it over to local authorities and have terminated his employment."

Why is it such a big deal to you? It's a mistake. News reporters always make mistakes. It just happens. It wouldn't surprise me if the information Six Flags gave the station was correct and the reporter used old information pre-2010 that said it was fastest. It was not a mistake by the news reporter. It was the SF public relations person who rode the ride with the news reporter. SF lost the fastest title 4 years ago. They need to stop saying it.

http://pix11.com/2014/07/09/six-flags-great-adventures-zumanjaro-drop-of-doom/#ooid=BtbWhybjpLJ6tm0Orlc6X55iz-JH1MMc here is the video clip from this morning with the SF public relations lady that I guess has no clue that Ka is no longer the fastest in the world. how about get your facts straight before announcing lies on TV. the link brings you to 2 clips, I believe its the 2nd clip.

Ka did loose it's fastest title in 2010. For awhile the park was just saying tallest coaster in the world. I think what they're trying to say now is "The tallest and fastest coaster in the world at 45 stories" so I think they mean fastest in the world at 45 stories. It's a weird play on words so that's pretty sneaky of them. Watch the b-roll footage for Zumanjaro and that's what they say at 0:26. Also if you're planning to ride Zumanjaro soon, I'd get try and ride it before 9 PM because I've heard they have been closing it early (along with Kingda Ka) for maintenance. I believe you can but I'd call the park to make sure. well today on channel 11 during the live newscast, the SF lady claimed tallest and fastest in the world. that's a bunch of lies. that's all im pointing out. its false advertising.

was just watching channel 11 this morning, and the news reporter was at Zumanjaro doing her news reporting, and she was on zumanjaro with some lady from SfGadv talking about the stats of both Zumanjaro and Kingda Ka. SF needs to stop mentioning KA as the fastest in the world. im pretty sure it lost the fastest title back in 2010 to Formula Rossa . SF needs to get their stats correct and stop the false advertising.

http://www.nj.com/ocean/index.ssf/2014/07/bystanders_stop_robber_at_six_flags_hurricane_harbor_police_say.html Bystanders stop robber at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, police say JACKSON – A robber was thwarted when bystanders and family members of the victim chased down the assailant at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor on Sunday until police could arrive, authorities said. Police said the victim reported that he had made a purchase inside the park and Gary Troxel, 20, of New Egypt, saw that he had a large amount of cash on him. When the victim was near the exit, Troxel tried to talk to him, pushed him and stole the cash from his cargo pants pocket, police said. The victim suffered a minor foot injury during a short struggle, police said. Troxel ran into the parking lot and the victim yelled for help while both family members and bystanders gave chase, police said. The robber got into a car of someone he knew in the parking lot, police said. The bystanders and family members blocked the vehicle and prevented it from leaving the scene, police said. Police searched the vehicle and found a small amount of heroin, authorities said. Police said the victim did not know the alleged robber. Both Troxel and the driver, James Towles Jr., 40, of New Egypt, were arrested, police said. At police headquarters, Troxel tried to discard two hypodermic syringes but they were found, authorities said. Troxel was charged with robbery, theft, possession of heroin and possession of hypodermic syringes. He was taken to the Ocean County jail in lieu of $35,000 bail, police said. Towles was charged with possession of heroin and was released on a summons pending a court appearance, police said.

they should just have a text messaging system set up like most sports arena have. you can never find security when you need them. -
I was planning on going when I got the news, but I was up at action park. And instead of leaving right away, I decided to hit one more slide, and now I'm in a hospital with a broken toe. Lol. Broke it on the single tube slide, clipped it on the side going into the tunnel. So never made it to SFGAdv.

I thought Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ques was long. I went in jan '13 and the ride was a walk on. it felt like we walked forever just to get to the loading station. -
Have you ever tried calling the park? They put you on hold a good half hour every time. Early this season I had to call the season pass office at the start of the season to ask a question, got the voicemail and left a message. I got a call back a good month and a half later. Now that's awesome customer service.
