coasterbill, thanks for the tips, im heading to cedar point for the first time for opening weekend. and I have a trip in june planned for coaster mania. cant wait. -
totally disagree, all my friends who happened to ride it said it was the most amazing water slide they every ridden to this day. How many people do you know that rode it? I still haven't seen definitive dates as to when this thing was actually open. Hours, Days, Weeks it could not possibly have operated for more than a month my cousin rode It with a bunch of friends from school when they all went up there in the summer, hes pretty sure it was 1985 or 86. all my friends who got me hooked on action park rode it, they pretty sure it was in 1985. they all mention it was the mid 80's. they all said they would ride it again if it opened tomorrow. I know about 10 people that have ridden it. I know all the times I went to action park, at least 2 times a summer from the mid 80's to closing, it was never open.

Also in need of info for this as I'm planning on going up Friday night. If someone finds out please post it here. nothing on the website about the event. It is but its only listed on the Season Pass Perks page. Not on the calender on the site or their Facebook page. https://www.sixflags.com/greatadventure/plan-your-visit/season-pass-perks I saw it listed in the eCoupon guide, I missed that area of the website. either way, both have no info on the event.

when is GA going to tear down the decrepit lake grandstand where they used to do all the water shows yrs ago. what a disgusting area of the park. so filthy. the need to really clean up their act. the whole old country area is decaying too(closed). what is the parks plan. they need to add some smaller rides to try and combat the huge lines.

I cant stand the riders who slow the whole boarding process not knowing how to fasten the restraints or seatbelts or what not. or the fat guest who doesn't use the test seat to make sure he/she fits line jumpers the guests in line behind you who stands right up your ass. as if the hr or 2 line is going to go quicker being so close. or the people behind you in the line who bitch and moan when you dodnt move up the 10 ft in a hr or 2 line. dorney parks no reride policy when the park is empty sucks, making you go all the way back through the line. that sucks the parks who dont clean the trains. six flags great adventure is a biggie on this. there coasters are so dirty. my t shirts always come back with dirt/grease stains all seasonal parks who dont have the new ride opened for opening day. what were you doing all offseason/winter. totally unacceptable.

by far the best water park I ever went to. I went to the water park usually 2 times a year growing up from the mid 80's till it closed in the mid 90's. most of the accidents were all casued by the riders not following the parks riding guidelines. yes, I got a few scraps and burns, but nothing serious. I had a ton a friends get all messed up, but the accidents were all there fault. I dont see why the action park park got such a bad rap, six flags in NJ during the 80's had just as many problems back in the day. the haunted house fire killing a bunch. the lightnin loops death. all the stabbings at the park entrance. parks will always have accidents, its impossible to be 100% accident free. im pretty sure going to back to the old name, action park, is manily for publicity.
