I enjoy Flight of Fear, too--but it can give you a good bone shaking from time to time. Ha! Should've ridden it when they had over the shoulder restraints. It really sucked hard then.

No one agrees? I do. Flight of Fear is superb. In an earlier post, I actually forgot to put that with my must rides at KD. I wish they had enclosed Jokers Jinx too; still one of my favorites at SFA though.

Lol,..after going back and reading some things in this thread, I don't think the 'enthusiast entitlement' claim applies. I believe most of the disgust is directed more at 'how' they announced for what was given. I really haven't heard the 'they were supposed to add', etc. My opinion is that this type of announcement didn't warrant the 'spectacle'. Some are upset about the teaser with Snoopy looking at plans with the coaster in the background. The teaser was probably met to mislead (get u thinking in the wrong direction) They got you..deal with it..lol... I'm man enough to say that they got me too. My hats off to them. Bottom line is that they are going to pull some serious gate with family oriented stuff, especially with free 3-5 year old entry. People that would not have normally gone will go next year. Pairing the free pass with new family rides will be a hit. Family FTW; look how they cram into parks for holiday events, no matter the temp. They still have I305, and my personal favorite: Volcano. Though, I still would ride everything, I actually could take a pass on most everything else.

When we did the coaster race on Tuesday, it took about 2 hours and 15 minutes with little to no lines. Two rides were 15 minute waits. Sunday crowds will be a bit worse, but if you start early you'll be OK. May want to try Superman with and without VR. Couple re-rides on Wild One, JJ, and Roar. Save Apocalypse for last; press your head against the right shoulder restraint. No matter the turn, your head shouldn't reach the left one I've found. Mind Eraser: sit in front 2 for less head banging. Roar: stay out of the back! I'm one who likes the Fireball. I would ride that a couple of times too.

Fixed. Yup. Anything to do with kids will always pull more loot. I usually skip Kings Dominion in 2 year increments, but might go next year since my soon to be 4 year old can get in free.

I understand that this isn't the time or the thread for rational thinking but personally KD might still be my favorite park in the chain after Cedar Point. I prefer it to Ki, Knotts, Carowinds, Dorney and Wonderland for sure. KI might have a better coaster lineup (debatable) but KD has much nicer atmosphere, great flats and a spectacular log flume. Anyway go back to your relentless bitching. we loved it when we visited last year, and they have a really great woodie in Woodstock Express (that many folks skip, since it's a junior coaster) Even after visiting BGW, we still very much enjoyed this park (other than Hurler, of course, which beat the crappola out of us). but any park with such a great kids section, as well as the Tower, Volcano, Intimidator, that amazing Drop Tower, and a really decent bobsleds? I just don't get the complaining. but oh well. . most of those complaining seem rather young, so maybe they will learn to appreciate what they have instead of bitching about what they wish they had. Hey, if you pay money you have the right to complain, or just take your money somewhere else. It's America. You can bellyache as much as you want..lol.. I understand people being a little salty. Forget the teasers and what not, a certain anticipation was built up when they decided to have the event. If they didn't have it, and they kind of just announced something new, then it wouldn't be too bad. Sure, complaining would have taken place (like just about with'any' new addition), but folks would've gotten over it. Ride on!

I think Whistlestop will be open, being that it is a kids area. I loved the event at SFGAdv. I'm looking forward to this.
