  1. I went today for a couple of hours. They have really squared away that Mardi Gras section; looks great and the music is good. As far as Rajin Cajin, the landscaping around it is superb. Sadly, it doesn't seem that they are putting up a station like the one at its previous location. Can't really be sure what it's going to look like, because they were still working. I'm pretty happy about that bar that they are putting there though .
  2. Yeah, I just saw the email. That's good news. Maybe when we go today, we'll see a station or at least something that resembles one.
  3. Yeah, no flash pass needed. I'll b there with my daughter tomorrow. Funny, I'm actually looking more forward to the funnel cake tomorrow than riding; been craving it for about two weeks.
  4. ^^yeah, I'm sure there is a reason, who knows.
  5. Yeah, they did something with that first half. It's great. I agree with that second half though. Still a lot of fun.
  6. I agree with you big time. I was there on Sunday. I thought there were a lot of people there, especially in the water park. Still, thanks to the two trains, lines went fast. We had a blast. Looking forward to that mixed drink bar at Rajin Cajin. I'm also looking forward to seeing what they do next year. Earlier this year, SFA had a poll in two places (Facebook and an email survey) asking people what they would like to see next year. The choices were: rollercoaster (regular or extreme), drop tower ride, or swing. Lol, do I have to tell you what I voted for?
  7. Mind eraser smelled fine, and it doesn't seem to bump as much. Here's some more good news: every second (and I think fourth Sunday) they are going to have exclusive ride time for season pass and discover card holders. It will be done for two hours after the park closes. You will have to get a wristband at a booth in the park on the day that they are having it. Also, they will pick several rides to use on those days.
  8. I hear you. I'm a little salty that RC is not going to be open, unless they surprise us. Going to be real mad if every tube on Bonzai Pipelines is not open. I can't get enough of that slide. Lol.,, I also spend way too much time on those flyers. Still trying to get the optimum speed on there. Once I turned the head so perfect that I thought I was going to fly out. I need more perfect turns like that... Let's all hope that the LOL show is good this weekend. One time I went,....it was great; actually laughed the whole time. Another time I went, I was tempted to walk out.
  9. I don't think so. I know that everything in Coyote Creek (mind eraser, etc) are having the pass holder event (10-11am). I'll be there Saturday or Monday. Looking forward to it.
  10. Didn't ride Batwing yesterday, but everything was :58 to 1:17. Mind eraser loading being the fastest. Finally know where I have to sit to not get my head torn up on Mind Eraser.
  11. wow, 5 min between dispatches just horrible. this park should not even have the six flags name on it that how they are going to run ride operations. disgrace I've never experienced the 5 minutes loading. Would have been pissed. Most I've waited (I counted three times last year) was 2:31. Least time was 1:54.
  12. Yeah, I've seen them run two on several occasions last year, especially on Saturdays.
  13. Yes, they do sometimes. It all depends on the crowds. I went to the park about 5 times the past two season - all on Saturdays and SROS never had two trains. I have not been this year because I moved away from MD so maybe things have changed. If you get there when they open you won't need Flash Pass. You can literally get all credits in less then 3 hours. Then use the rest of your time for re-rides. Gets even better during water park time. When it is open, there is barely a 5 minute wait. Great!
  14. Yeah, u are right. Though, while I was there on Monday, everything was running good all day, except for the voodoo drop. It broke down a few times while I was there. Maintenance was 'very' quick to fix it though.
  15. Last weekend, they were running two on: mind eraser, wild one, and superman.
  16. Trust me, they were running one train between 12 and 3 something.
  17. Went to the park today. Ops, and everything else was silky smooth. Had a very good time in the Mardi Gras section. What impressed me the most was that someone made the call to run two trains on the wild one; the line was a little long most of the day. Looking forward to going again.
  18. Overall, you are right about KD and Hershey. From my experiences, I have never had a problem with the staff. Looking forward to going next weekend. Going to hit KD during the week.
  19. I forgot all about it. This may make you feel better; my cousin stood in line for his SP for about two hours. He got his pass at SFG on Sunday. He said, line jumpers galore.
  20. Was at KD yesterday for opening day. Operations were fine. 2 trains on everything, with the exception of rebel yell. But that was ok because they were running both sides. Good deal. Last year, I wasn't happy at all.
  21. Not too shabby. I believe that it is better than last years show. It's not all that goofy either. The improv show is excellent. I can see how it'll never get old.
  22. After reading this site for months, I've finally signed up...lol. Great opening day. Stayed all day. Slow ride ops on Superman and Batwing, but good on every other ride, especially considering it was the 'first' day. I wasn't expecting miracles. You want to know bad opening day ops, go to Kings Dominion or Hershey Park; been to both and was not happy. Great parks though. It's worth noting that food service was pretty slow. It was the first day though. Enjoyed the new shows at SFA. Employees were super friendly. Even met the park president; I thanked him for turning the park around in the last three years. Also asked him what the plan was for next year, since the height restriction is no more. Smiled and said, "you'll see". Only thing I was tired of was all of the running. They need to enforce the 'no running' . One thing u guys may like; two guys got kicked out for cutting the line at Apocalypse. Security asked for their season passes. Funny. Bottom line is that me, the kids, and other friends had a ball. Going to get better when the water park opens. It's all about the Bonzai Pipelines. . No offense, but the above comment about closing the park is ridiculous (it wouldn't have been about 5 years ago). No where near that bad. Obvious, as it is still open.
