At SFA you get the worst employees in the chain. At SFNE you get the worst clientele in the chain Worst employees? Someone hasn't been in a while. It's been two years (if you consider that a long time). My opinion is based on 6 visits to SFA between 2005-2013. I encountered many more rude, uncaring and demeaning ride ops than I did happy and friendly ride ops on each trip of those 6 trips. I'm glad it has turned around. 05-13? Oh yeah, rough times there. Well, I didn't think 12-13 were that bad, but 05-11; ridiculous over there.

Lol,..at the end of the day, it's a matter of opinion. I've found that it's hard to form an opinion of somewhere without going regularly. You'll have some that have been to a place once, maybe twice in a few years. They'll form an opinion just from that. Not talking about rides. They are what they are. I can easily make a thorough analysis of SFA, KD, BG, Disney, Universal, and to a lesser extent SFOG because I may go a few times per year (I have family that lives in FL and GA). I'll never make a definitive opinion about ops, employees, etc from a visit or two. If I did, I'd never go back to CP, Hershey, or SFOT. My daughter wouldn't want to go back to SFGAdv thanks to the guy in the Sylvester costume...lol..We both actually look forward to going back there in the summer when everything is open.

The parks suffers from a combination of poor management, a lack of true capital investment to generate interest in the park and the perception alot of black people that go to that park which I think creates an extra layer or unfair racial stereotypes about the park and the people that attend the park. This pretty much touches all the most significant bases. If you wanted to add one in, it was that the infrastructure of the park was built poorly intentionally to save money, and it results in all sorts of problems that should have been obvious long term concerns but that was considered unnecessary to address. I agree.Having gone back when the place was first The Wildlife Preserve and then Wild World, there have been multiple owners with no long term master plan.Hopefully the Six Flags hierarchy will continue to believe in it and remedy the festering problems. At least SFA live shows have been winning the IAAPA awards 3 years running-now let's see them win for something else. I agree with 'all' of this, especially the stereotype portion. I've heard this with my own ears. One need only to go to Trip Adviser for the increasing 'good' reviews from folks who used to hate the place (including me), that now like the park. I do not have any complaints. I have a great time every time I go. Maybe because I like water parks so much. The area around the park is about to be developed, big time. Two great big multi-use neighborhoods (Single family, townhouse, apartment, stores) are about to be built. MGM opening, etc. It would be smart of SFA to get on it, which according to 'a source' at the park...they will in grand fashion in 2017. Hasn't been wrong about anything yet. Good news is that they have done some serious painting this so far this off season. You'll see it if you visit this year.

I love that idea simply because it's an indicator that the Great Adventure event was a success. I would think that they would just open the front of the park though and that's a shame since the only good coaster that would probably be open would be Wild One. I don't see them expanding back into Gotham City because then you'd basically have to open the whole park, wouldn't you? I actually think that they would open the entire dry side. It's a relatively small park. Gotham is the most open area too. They need to keep Chesapeake closed though, so no one will mess up and ride Apocalypse.

This says it all. Most people when they think of SFA: Once a bad reputation, always a bad reputation. To be honest, I told myself that I wouldn't go back until my daughter talked me into it in 2012; glad she did . Water park tops others in the areas by far. Dry side is fun enough. You will have a good time. Make sure to take in the shows and stay off Apocalyse (unless you have Excedrin handy).

Are you high? Even comparing this park to Kings Dominion (or any other park anywhere short of maybe Lakemont and Conneaut Lake) is an insult. Six Flags America is slowly improving but it's still terrible. Ha ha,..you missed what I said. I'm not comparing. The rides (some)--(dry side) are better than SFA. My favorite (Volcano) is there. I'm just going off how good a time 'I' usually have. I've gone to KD and have been pissed off on the way out on a few occasions. Never SFA, well maybe once. I don't know what it is. I always go to both a lot. SFA a little more because it's close.

Yes...skip it and go to a better park around the same general area. Don't listen to this nonsense. Go on a weekday to get the best experience. Water park can be a little crowded, but not ridiculous. As long as u stay off Apocalyse, you'll have a good time on the dry time too. Flats leave a little to be desired. The shows are good too. Shows/actors have won a brass ring award three years in a row. No other park in the world has pulled that off. I've really never have had a bad time here. I like it as much as Kings Dominion, and a little less than Busch Gardens.

I agree. Also, thank you for everyone who attended the event, so SF can be enticed to do it again next year. According to a friend that works at SFA, thanks to things running good at Gadv, it's looking good for the event to maybe run down here next year. It was my first time at SFGadv. I look forward to going next year when everything is open.
