Yeah, I hear you on having a blast every time. You are right about the complaining about the cold part. Though, all of the indoor employees were great. Actually, so were the ride operators. Nice weekend coming up. I might go just for the hell of it, especially since it seems Roar and Wild One were built for the low temps.

Yeah, the kids area hasn't been as packed, even when it was nice last weekend. The stunt show, grand theatre show, and Coyote Creek show are always jammed. I've never seen them open the upstairs in the Saloon. They had to when I went though. A lot of people. SFA is making a killing on those hot chocolate cups. Got me too..lol

Lol,..yup, even though I at least have a 5 minute station wait..lol..Supposed to be nice today. Looking forward to seeing how it goes. Oh, someone dropped the ball at Apocalypse. The music there is still going. The music is great, yes, but throws off the Rudolph song playing throughout the section..juuusttt a little bit.

Last week's crowds were very light last weekend thanks to the insane cold and wind. Yesterday was light also, though seemed to have a decent amount of people when going to the shows. In other other words, the shows drew everyone that was there at the time. Lines for all of the rides were non-existent. Will be going again today..lol..My daughters friend is finishing her bday weekend with Six Flags. I'll let u all know about the crowds. Talked to someone there that checked out the Hershey one. Said that she liked the SFA one a little better because most of the park was closed off, if that makes any sense; likes the small park feel. Liked the shows better here too, but that's not a surprise. If there is anything that I do not like about our HITP, is that it's all over too quick. Well planned out, the event can be done in less than 3 hours (that includes the awesome Santa experience, which can take time with staying in line, and the mini production inside the house). A little less time if you do not need to do the kid's section. Forgot to add in my last post, that you'll get the best 'aerial' view of the park on The Wild One. The drop tower if you are sitting in the right seat. By the way, again, Wild One and Roar are running superbly. Wild One sounds funny at times, but is rolling!

I was actually almost annoyed by this yesterday. At Great Adventure, every single coaster except for Superman and Green Lantern are pitch black and the park is ridiculously dark at night. Oak Island (the Holiday in the Park contractor) brought in ONE LIGHT and pointed it at Joker and it made the entire thing look amazing. One stupid light... the fact that they showed how easy it was just made the entire thing seem even more ridiculous because we all know that as soon as Holiday in the Park is over you won't be able to see the ride at night until next November. Anyway, awesome photos. I'm really looking forward to going to the SFA event. I hear you on that one light! That's what I was getting at about the flood lights they used, and how well they worked.

Ok, I grew a set and braved the ridiculous cold and wind tonight. I have plenty of pics to share. Lights The lights were excellent, with Coyote Creek being the best. Main Street was also very good. Movie Town was great in the front, but a little more could have been done more towards the back. The Mardi Gras area was just right. Chesapeake was just OK, and so was the light show in that area. Wasn't as good as the tree light show at GAdv last year, but was OK. Hey, there were fire pits at the light show, so I'm not complaining. I don't think Chesapeake is a very good area for HITP. Just not made right. I can't explain it. They used a heavy dose of flood lighting in many areas, and it worked well. I could go on and on about the lights, but I'll let my pics do most of the talking. Props The props were great, nuff said really. They even had the train in station (See Pics). The smells of gingerbread, mocha, peppermint, and pine were powerful. Rides Ok, Wild One and Roar were made for the cold. I honestly believe that. I have ridden The Wild One since 1986, and have never noticed it so quick, and pretty smooth (relative) actually. If there are any Wild One vets that ride this winter, let me know what you think. Maybe the cold got to my head By the way, looking down on the park on Wild One was great at night. I've always known ROAR to be strong in the cold, because of trips to FF, so it didn't surprise me. Didn't go on Mind Eraser; it locked up after the final element. I know those people were both cold and mad as hell. Ragin and the drop tower were closed; too windy. I didn't go on Apocalypse, because it's Apocalypse. Shows It's Six Flags America (only park on the planet to have 3 years in a row of nominations in the brass ring awards..lol) so the shows were good. Though, I'll admit, it looks like the Mardi Gras show was kind of thrown together. It was a minimized version of Party Gras with Christmas music. The stunt show wasn't over the top goofy, and had some pretty good action and an OK plot. The Scrooge character was funny to me, and would go back just to laugh at him. Jingle Jam was a pretty cool show. Winter Rock was good, especially since it was indoors..lol..I missed the kids show and Home for the Holidays. I'll check those out on Friday. All the shows that I saw except for the Mardi Gras one are worth a re-watch. Food I didn't have anything different than normal, though I broke a record for drinking hot chocolate. Lines moved very fast for once in SFA's history. Final Thoughts I really enjoyed this as I knew that I would. Had a great time at GAdv last year. Better weather wound have equalled a better time for sure, so I can't wait to go again on Friday. Want my advice? Go at about 430, maybe 5. You WILL get everything in more than once. Taking Gotham out of the equation really shrunk the place. You'll see. Remember that I posted the first part of the report earlier. The Santa experience was the best I've ever seen and/or heard of. Enjoy the pics. Front Main Street. This was great to see in person. Looking back at the entrance Trees on the side of the bridge are a nice touch. Ground pic in Movie Town Movie Town Movie Town Entrance Jingle Jam One of the big flood lights on Wild One. Train station. The train was decorated too, but could not get a clean pic. Light show Ground in Chesapeake. Chesapeake wall 'lights' This pole actually looked really cool in the daytime. Going into Coyote Creek Coyote Creek Santa's house Santa's Throughway to stunt show. Ground by the scrambler Grand Theatre and tree Look in the trees. Also this area had blinking lights. Looked good. Ground in Mardi Gras Stunt Show Winter Rock show In Mardi Gras. Frosty just got off of the Wild One. Fire pit FTW!

Ok, here is a mini..mini trip report; mostly a few pics with little discussion. Us and another family were planning to spend the entire day and night, but the weather was going to be terrible after 4 pm. It was bad too. Had a 4 year old, so high winds with rain and cold is no good. I promise to do a thorough one after I go today or either next Friday. The pics may look a little rushed as the other family was going to be at our house soon to go to our back up plan for the weekend. Of course we had to stop by the park though! Only made it through the front and to Coyote Creek (North Pole). I can't believe how strong the smells were with some of the wind. Smelled great! Santa's house is a great experience! If anyone is wondering, it's in the arcade. I don't talk like this, but it is ' magical'!! I must say that the employee were 100%. Enjoy the mini trip pics! The front. Going in. Nice touch with the reef material going building to building. We were greeted by Bugs and Daffy at the front. Long line for the pics. Going across the bridge to the tree. Notice the smaller trees lining the bridge. Can tell that it will look awesome during the night. Close up of the tree. The Bear..lol Hot chocolate will be served here. I'll probably get the 7.99 cup this year. Scrambler Freshly painted What the Fried, well has a new name for HITP. Stunt show arena. Can't wait to see this and the other 6 shows. Going into The North Pole Some of these buildings here got fresh paint. Looks excellent. Santa's house. This experience was excellent. Going into Santa's house. Smells were great, decor was superb, and the acting by the elves was outstanding. Awesome! You had to find the secret book to pull down to ópen the door! She found it! Second room. Another live elf, and an animation. Is this the best Santa or what? Santa's book shelf.

It was more the wind with the cold and rain. Oh yeah, me and my oldest kid would have braved it. Would have laughed at the cold and wind while riding Wild One multiple times. Yes, she is an up and coming enthusiast. She has taken to learning how coasters work. She even built her kinex coaster on her own...proud papa here..lol I had my 4 year old too. Cold, wind, and rain would have been a bad mix for her.

Oh man, the little bit I got to see, and....SMELL was great; every section I went through smelled like pine or mocha. The santas ' workshop was superb. I mean, you had to pull a freakin secret book to continue through. I'll post pics later. I was only able to go to the North Pole, and beginning. I had to go, thanks to a meet up. Going to do a thorough report next weekend. Tomorrow is supposed to be very bad, weather wise. I'll still have my 4 year old with me. I'll just have my 11 year old tomorrow and next weekend. We'll brave a little freakin cold..lol..
