This looks like it'll be really great! vertical lifts are getting really high now, which is great. And a really steep drop, wow.

I saw the full layout on Coaster Friends and it looks like a great coaster. The vertical lift and drop is fantastic.

Isn't it early for them to say it's closing now if they're using the space for a 2016 coaster? Construction would most likely start in 2015 unless it's a huge project. So maybe it's replacement is for 2015.

How many time do some of us tell you? Mantis got a paint test, so it is obviously staying. Possibly transforming into a floorless coaster! Though CP does a good job throwing people off. Yes, we all know that. That was before Cedar Point themselves made this announcement. If it wasn't closing, and it was just becoming a floorless coaster, they wouldn't say it was closing.

Press release certainly says it's closing, it'll be removed. Wonder what will be the replacement?

I'm not sure if a coaster would be coming to Kings Dominion in 2016, because what about Canadas Wonderland and maybe Cedar point. Cedar Fair really should add more than one coaster per year.

If there was to be a coaster next year, we'd certainly have seen construction by now. And it's most likely we'd have seen plans too. A hyper coaster would fit nicely though if they did.
