Don't you think they should take a brake for a year? No i don't, if Cedar Fair decide that they want to convert Mean Streak into an I Box woodie then that's what will happen. It's all based on revenue and visitor figures so if they feel that doing this will improve what they already have then seriously, why do they need to take a break. How could anyone not wan't a new coaster at a park regardless of when the last one was added. It'll be incredible if it happens. -

^Well, they certainly don't take two years and not at all as long as New Texas Giant did, that likely took so long as it was their first ever coaster as you said. Their most recent I Box conversions are The Joker and Storm Chaser, both opening this year if you didn't know. The Joker took around 9 months to complete and Storm Chaser took just a little longer than that i think. So if they are to close Mean Streak in July as rumored they can easily get it all done and open for next season. -

^Those trains are starting to look pretty nice with all the details being added, and nice that they're matching the concept art too. -
Not got any clue how this is going to work after seeing that s-bend and all the tight turns, it's just looking so bizarre now!

That looks really impressive just from those small snippets, very quick, can't wait for some longer footage and a POV. Oh and also, Kolmarden have confirmed themselves on Instagram via a comment that they will fill in the gaps in the steel structure with wood, like in the animation. -

Really good to see the ride from the air in that video, and to see that splash in full force too, it's huge! -
Oh wow, that's certainly getting a lot more funky looking. I can imagine that the part in that last photo will be taken pretty slowly though because it's all at a very small radius, which should be pretty good regardless!

The Smiler isn't all rough and not at all unpleasant to ride, it's a fantastic coaster. The only real rough parts of the ride are towards the end with the second half of the cobra roll and the final two corkscrews. -

^Personally i don't think that it makes a difference at all and that it's just a really impressive looking coaster. It's like it is for structural reasons anyway rather than for looks, lets not forget that it's built mostly on a hill that's very rocky so it's great how it's been designed and that they've actually managed to do it. -

^It is huge! The tower is 95m so actually not quite as tall as Falcons Fury at 102m, even scarier especially face first! -

I find it absolutely brilliant that they've managed to get all the track work done so quick with opening day closing in. The drop looks fantastic now it's all done as well, very excited for testing to start in the next few days! -

I must say i'm impressed with this, it looks really fun and also pretty smooth too! -
^Lets not forget that's not been confirmed at all yet, i hope that it's not true. This looks like it's going to be a decent coaster, it's certainly something totally different to what we're used to and i think that it's good for Maurer to be offering something that other manufacturers don't currently offer.
