  1. Beastie RMC beast or Original Bat returning?
  2. Hearing a fast paced song on a slow record and then hearing a slow song on a fast record is a rather interesting experience.
  3. An ABC news article: On the first plunge, riders on Six Flags' Goliath are dropped 120 feet into a mist-filled tunnel, then fly out and climb slowly up a banked 200-foot high turn. As they hit the air, negative G-forces induce a few seconds of a sense of floating. Then riders whirl through a quick set of curves that drop finally into three spirals. The ride reaches speeds up to 85 miles per hour and lasts about three minutes.
  4. Nowadays I agree with you. But you can't forget the fact that unlike those other parks, Dorney was at one time all set to become the region's heaviest hitter, right around the time they received the first hyper on the east coast. If you grew up with that image in mind then it's hard to shake. I'm not quite as eager as everyone else for a GCI woodie, because old GCIs just typically aren't that great and Dorney wouldn't keep it pristine. If we're speaking strictly realistically, then I would want a small tightly plotted wing coaster with a second half as intense as Thunderbird's except twice as long. Which, btw, wouldn't be that long. So it could happen. I think Cedar Fair is done building B&M's at small parks. Last one was Patriot in 2006. They also appeared to be done building Giga coasters. Before 2010, the last one was Millennium Force in 2000.
  5. Great Bear - Hersheypark
  6. Anaconda - Kings Dominion
  7. The transition in the turns before the loops are worse
  8. How bad is Apocalypse? I rode Vortex at Carowinds, and I didn't find it to be that bad. It was uncomfortable, but not painful like Green Lantern or Mantis
  9. True The person below me believes extraterrestrial life is responsible for everything that is evil. (Cancer, poverty, Chinese knock-offs, etc.)
  10. Stinger in Row 1 gives you a ride that feels like nothing you'd ever associate with a Vekoma
  11. Reports show that Iron Dragon has valleyed
  12. I heard rumors that Kings Island's Invertigo valleyed 3 times last Sunday. Can anyone confirm this?
  13. Liver failure
  14. i love hydra due to the unique ride layout. i wish dorney was able to have the b&m roar but since the neighbors love complaining that stops them from putting the loud wheels on. (atlest i think) and as of today dorney is the only cedar fair park currently not getting anything for 2016 (not counting mia). i will be fine with nothing for 2016 unless something big comes in 2017 but we all know cedar fair loves the paramount parks and cedar point to much to care about the smaller TRUE cedar fair parks. Wouldnt Cedar Point be considered the only true Cedar Fair park? All of the others were acquired by Cedar Fair.
  15. When Stinger is running, riding in Row 1 will give one of the most intense rides ever. On the return, I blacked out on the loop so I couldn't see what was happening on the cobra roll. The flutterbies are strong on this one.
  16. Log Flume A-Ha or Duran Duran?
  17. Great Bear - Hersheypark
  18. Adventure Express - Kings Island
  19. Because people go in thinking it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, and expect old-school 1993 Kumba forces on a 2013 wing coaster. I should also mention that it's not Intimidator 305, so people automatically will not like it due to less intense forces. If you strap yourself in and just ride the damn thing you will certainly have a good time. GateKeeper is an all around enjoyable coaster with gigantic inverting elements that are uniquely enhanced by the unique seating. It's also very re-rideable, with a different experience depending on where you sit on the train, and one of the most unique coasters at Cedar Point. What is the most intense seat on GateKeeper? I rode it somewhere in the middle right side, and it wasn't very forceful. The next year, I rode it on the back left side and it was worthy. I heard good reviews of the front seats, but I never rode it towards the front.
  20. True. Vekoma coaster is better than no coaster. I can annoy my neighbors if it's a boomerang The person below me wants an ARM drop tower in his/her backyard
  21. Only if it has a tunnel or a splashdown. If it doesn't have one of those, it's garbage. It's capacity would be horrible*, they should get something bigger. *See SFGAdv thread
