I'm not an engineer (disclaimer because some people are oversensitive regarding that) but I don't understand mistakes such as these when the computer design software is more advanced than ever. You'd think in the 2-3 years it takes to design these things a glaring flaw would be detected.. Then again this is minor compared to the many flubs say a company like Intamin has done (another disclaimer, I love Intamin rides)

I hope the screamscape rumor about it having two lifts and the longest track length of all time has some validity to it

Yeah I always thought it was odd that the station was so far from the lift. I imagine prior to Colossus being retrofitted for a MCBR the lines were insane.

It can get lonely, but there's perks like being a seat filler which sometimes gets you in the front row without waiting. Sometimes people will see you solo and strike up interesting conversations as well

I may be in the minority but I really hope Colossus' layout is changed completely. I've always felt Colossus was just big and boring, I would like to see a video of it come crashing down much like the footage of Son of Beast getting axed.

I think we can rule out a wing coaster or any other B&M, didn't MM say they'd never spend $20 mil on a single attraction ever again??? Plus X2 is technically a wing coaster anyway

I gotta be honest here, and I mean it in the best way possible just to discuss it, but I would not have guessed that the description you provided was for Magic Mountain. Just breaking it down: X2 and Tatsu are very much top ten worthy. Goliath is tall but it is extremely long at the same time (As is Tatsu, X2, and Viper), and the park seems to be lacking high capacity rides at this point, especially with the recent addition of YOLOcoaster. Comparing Cedar Point against Magic Mountain it's very easy to see which park went for high intensity+low capacity and which went towards lower intensity+higher capacity. Oh don't get me wrong I love Tatsu and X2 but IMO they are no Millennium Force or Maverick, MM needs something that will blow people's minds. Something that will get the park back into the 3 million visitor range again. And MM has more than enough high capacitu rides IMO, Goliath, Riddler, Viper, Ninja, Superman, and Scream are all people eaters. X2 and Tatsu have the potential to be people eaters with the right ride ops

True, then again their last two coasters cost all of what twenty bucks? They're due for something big budget...

Whatever this turns out to be, I just hope finally MM has a coaster that is top ten worthy. I hope they go for length rather than height, airtime rather than speed, and brake free rather than high capacity.

So it was never explained why one of trains completely disappeared for a time? I wonder if it has anything to do with that weird rollback they had a while back Also, Roaring Rapids was running In the morning with a long line but when I walked by in the afternoon the whole thing had been drained and there was a sign out front saying it was closed for a while due to annual maintenance. Sounds like something serious. Talk about a turn of events!!! How odd!!!

It is confirmed to be reopening in 2016. Newspaper article I read states that it will be getting a $10 million refurbishment and that both sides will possibly be combined into a single ride. Definitely sounds like RMC to me, $10 mil seems to be their magic number
