It's just the lighting in the photo. I was in the park working today and can confirm Maverick has not gotten painted. Darn. Well hopefully it's in the cards soon. It would be a good idea to make Maverick all nice and shiny for when Mean Streak opens. And I agree with another poster that MF could use some paint too.... Actually come to think of it so could Magnum and Wicked Twister.

Before it picture gets taken down and the poster is banned, Maverick definitely looks like it got a much needed repaint.... but maybe that's just because of the lighting.

The station reminds me a lot of Lightning Rod's station. maybe the stations will look similar and have a similar theme?

Just saw a photo of mean streak that was taken from what was probably either a drone or like the top of skyhawk. Looks like a double up is going in right after the drop after the crazy banked curve on the third hill. I see some crazy ejector air on the first part of the double up

Amen to this. Without this trick, Magnum would be as painful as child birth. Or you know, you could just work out and build up your quads. Working out is not typically something coaster enthusiasts do...

I've been on a Thursday the first week of August the past few years. Ops were up and down so expect just about anything. They seem to switch from single to double train ops at the most inopportune time (i.e. while we are in line and they have to run the 2nd car empty a few times); but it definitely helps once it's up and running. If you don't do the water park side then rides for the coasters like Prowler are almost non-existent at midday = front row rides! However, the line for Mamba always seems painfully slow no matter what, usually single train ops inexplicably? I definitely recommend Fast Lane Passes no matter what, especially if you do the water park. My kids have rode three times using Fast Lane while others rode once. Thanks for he info and fastlane recommendation. Will definitely take into account! I've always heard that worlds of fun is annoying with their willingness to run 1 train.

OK good to know. Any idea on waits for the coasters?

Sorry to break into any discussion of next year's addition but I am visiting the park for the first time the second week of August, probably Thursday and Friday, and both days the park is only open until 7. What should I expect crowd wise and operations wise? Thanks in advance for any insight!

It's probably still not running at its top speed yet either. Imagine a full train on a 90 degree day in July once this thing is broken in. Can't wait!
