It is hard to tell in the video, but the man wiping the tears out of his face gave a huge thumbs up. *EDIT* The end of the video actually cuts off the thumbs up.

They were the "operators" for the coaster that day. They were a part of the construction crew, and carried out the test runs for that day. I don't know why they rode. Seems like the coaster would undergo more testing before they put humans on, but I guess they were ready. In case anyone wanted to see the video of the first "manned" test run on Goliath, here it is:

I'm pretty sure Goliath is going to eventually run two trains because they ordered two trains. If they didn't ever run the second, it would be a huge waste of money. Whatever the problem is, I would expect them to eventually fix it.

Great TR! I really enjoyed reading through - every trip report should be like this. Flight Deck is looking good in it's new colors. Sad to see it isn't open, though.

Only one train?!? That's just crazy! We should be expecting lines longer than Banshee's line on opening day. I still don't know how their queue will hold a 90 min + wait.

I think that the shaking might have just been from the camera mounting. Lightning Run's pov from a few weeks shaked, but the reviews came in and it was very smooth.

Today has been the "POV" day. Goliath, Zumanjaro - it just keeps coming!

Crazy! That drop lasts for about six seconds - probably about double the average! I love how this will give you a view of Kingda Ka when dropping or raising up. Now imagine Kingda Ka's train going over the top just as Zumanjaro drops...

Honestly, I would give Kentucky Kingdom a break for now. They just started out and are haven't "gelled" as a team yet. For the loose ends, I would give them a month and all of them would probably be fixed. I am just glad the park is open again. If you want to rant about a bad experience in a year, I would go for it, but just give them a break now as they opened a few weeks ago.

I agree with Robb. The train doesn't shake, so that proves that the piece is still there.

This coaster is looking amazing! That zero - G stall should be very thrilling. Same goes for the airtime hill!

^Me too. From the reviews that have been coming in, it seems like this could be better than a mega lite.

Does anyone remember when Outlaw Run's station caught on fire? Strange...

^I know, right! At least they have improved in the past few years - Full Throttle plaza was pretty cool!

Patience is the key for this one! Should be AMAZING when it opens, though.
