  1. Anyone got any pictures of this beast lately?
  2. I'm okay with the ride not being forceful. Hopefully it isn't very tame and it provides an out of control experience. That's why I loved Alpengeist. I thought it was going to fly off the track.
  3. This might sound offensive, but here me out. Do you think parks have an "oh crap" moment when it comes to us enthusiasts? I know that we joke about some rides that are bad, but when a new ride is anounced, do parks get annoyed when we complain about how the ride wasn't the thing we wanted? I know some people can be picky about what coasters they like, but I just wonder if parks get annoyed by that. Parks have enthusiast events, but we make up a small percentage of amusement park attendance. I wonder if parks actually care about what we have to say or if they could care less.
  4. I like how in Rougarou's description, Cedar Point describes it as the park's "first floorless coaster" as if they plan to add more. I might just be reading too deep into that.
  5. This ride would look quite beautiful next to Raptor. There's just something about the two that make them look so photogenic to each other.
  6. Yes, yes, and yes. This dive would take the record from Diving Coaster at Happy Valley (which is 10 feet smaller than this one). I'm assuming this would be faster than Diving Coaster since that's a ten-seater and this would be an eight-seater. Also the record for inversions is 2 (unless Baron 1898 has more). So the park could market this as the world's tallest and fastest dive coaster.
  7. -Flying Super Saturator (Carowinds) -Disaster Transport (Cedar Point) -Wildcat (Cedar Point) I'd put Demon Drop on this list, but it got moved to Dorney. Unless relocated rides count?
  8. Seattle vs. New England.
  9. -Maverick. It's just such a beautiful coaster and it looks like an amazing ride. -Gatekeeper. I don't really have any interest to ride this, but it's just such a beautiful coaster that I could watch for hours. I think it's the best looking ride at Cedar Point.
  10. Good luck! (Sunday is basically Saturday with an earlier closing time)
  11. ^Good thing they don't work tomorrow. Maybe more track will come in and they'll be set for Monday.
  12. The only Intamins I can think of opening this year off the top of my head are Journey Through Europe and that hyper coaster in China. As to why there is a "drought" in the U.S., I'd care not to start another coaster holy war.
  13. I'm pumped this weekend for football! I hope there's some chance that my Panthers can beat Seattle. I'm also rooting for the Ravens in the NFC (and not because I like them, but because I hate the Pats with every fiber of my being). Also, as much as I hate Dallas, I want them to win. If by some miracle, the Panthers beat the Seahawks, I'd like to take my chances with Dallas over Green Bay. PANTHERS KEEP POUNDING!
  14. Carowinds- Afterburn unless Fury 325 manages to dethrone it.
  15. Don't know if this is true or not: http://rcdb.com/12592.htm
  16. Why do wooden coasters usually start by turning before going up the lift hill? The only one that I can think of that goes straight up from the station is Timberwolf at WoF. Outlaw Run kind of does this, but there is a slight turn. Is there a reason for this, or is it just a common design?
  17. That turn around looks pretty interesting. I wonder if it will provide some sideways floater air.
  18. Isn't Time Machine going to Vietnam?
  19. Happy new year! First post of 2015!
  20. Granted, you would be shot at with lasers, chased by sharks, and hunted down by Laser Sharks! I wish I could go to Dollywood for my birthday tomorrow.
  21. I found this YTP on with Cedar Point in it: From 0:00 to 1:03, it's a poop of Cedar Point's new for 2014 attractions.
