Wow, I must be very sensitive. I found Verbolten quite intense. When I went, a kid peed in the one of the front seats of the red train, so DO NOT ride the front seat of the red train. Lol. The launches are nice. I wouldn't say Verbolten is 'forceful', but it definitely is intense IMO. Not too bad though.

Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday are good days to visit. I personally like Wednesday since it's in the middle of the week, so probably more people working. If you're planning on riding all of the coasters, head to Nighthawk first to beat the lines. Ride Intimidator after that. Your choice after that. If you could, could you get some pictures of the construction for next year? -

Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
tarheel1231 replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was disappointed after Holiday World failed to deliver the world's first B&M Wacky Worm. Maybe Canada's Wonderland will surprise me! Okay, now I'm being serious. It seems like a lot of parks are adding new slides (Carowinds, Worlds of Fun, Dorney Park, Cedar Point, possibly Kings Dominion). So I think that Canada's Wonderland will follow this trend. Hopefully Guardian will get worked on, as it seems unfinished from what I've seen. -

I feel like I'm the only one who enjoyed Griffon, even though it is a one-trick pony. It actually surpassed my expectations (meaning my expectations are really low). Lol. Loch Ness Monster was decent, but it was still a bit rough. (Sorry if it sounds like I'm hating Busch Gardens Williamsburg. I'm not, I actually love the park). -

I'm not a fan Carolina Cobra and Carowinds is my home park. Lol. I'm not that tall, so headbanging is an issue. Probably my reason for disliking it. Nighthawk is decent, but it's still rough. -

LOL! You're about to start a roller coaster holy wars. LET THE ARGUMENTS BEGIN! (I haven't been on either, so I can't judge.) -

Apollo's Chariot. It could have been where I was sitting (in the middle), but I didn't really find airtime or intensity. Intimidator and SFOG's Goliath are better IMO. -

Post your milestone coasters

Last Monday, I rode Verbolten. My first launch and my 40th (I know, it sounds embarrassing that out of the previous 39 coasters I had ridden, none of them had a launch). -

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
tarheel1231 replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My friend tried to insist to me that Carowinds once had a coaster called the 'Carolina Rainbow' and that it flies off the track and lands back on it. Another friend told me that Thunder Road was like 300 feet tall, and I corrected him when I said that it was only 93 feet tall and that Intimidator's only 232 feet. But I guess he didn't have that much knowledge about that, so I'll let that one slip. Alright, while in Gatlinburg: "This is like the tallest coaster ever!" -

Good article here about the logistics of the rename happening... I remember this thing that a guy had to say on the TV show, 'Dish Nation': Those aren't the exact words, but I thought it was pretty funny when he said it. -

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
tarheel1231 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Cedar Point is making lots for guests to park inside the park. Much easier than walking from the parking lot outside of the park. This is a step-up for Cedar Point, and I hope other parks allow guests to park within the park. Lol. In all seriousness, I do think that a dark ride could still be possible. Those markings were in the area of the old pirate ship ride building, I believe. [EDIT] I stand corrected. The markings were by the pavilion, and that's a bit far from the pirate ship ride building. -
