I don't have anything that I'm afraid of. If anything startles me I'll attack it. That goes for people, animals, etc. I can't do haunted houses for that reason. I'm not afraid but if something scares me my first reaction is to throw a punch. I'm not too fond of elevators either. Again, I'm not afraid of them but I don't like how in the case of an emergency you can get stuck in them. I'd rather take the stairs.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

Good riddance. Mantis was one of my least favorite coasters at CP. However, it was one of the better stand-ups IMO. Hopefully the park does a good job with theming if they do go through with a conversion. -
What is the best concert you have ever been to?

So, you were three or four years old? Or are you not really 37? I didn't specify there. It was the best one I've seen on DVD. I didn't see the topic of the forum was best concert I've been to. I've seen a few Pink Floyd shows live in the 90s. -
Best Theme Park Food
coasterkid124 replied to ChrisZer0's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Pretty much all Herschend parks offer a good selection of food. The southern cooking style really is what makes it the best for me. Disney is a close second, but Disney pretty much excels at everything. -

Definitely The Wall (1980). Almost two hours of Gilmour and Waters rockin the house. I've seen a few Pink Floyd shows but this was the best. Van Halens early Hagar tours and Def Leppards early 90s tours are my runners up. I personally prefer Hagar to Roth by a hair but both were great. Def Leppard also knew how to put on a good show every time. I wish that Freddie Mercury lived long enough to do another US tour with Queen. I would have given up anything to see the Wembley show. -
I've had many jobs over my days. I used to do a lot of maintenance work. I was a car mechanic at a small shop, maintenance/construction worker for theme parks, and even site supervisor. Then I went for my degree in mechanical engineering. I work for a company that supplies many industrial machines and equipment. Everything from forklifts to hydraulic cylinders to compressors to large trucks and factory machinery. Basically you can call my company an ACME company. My daily jobs include designing working machinery, building or assembling them, and troubleshooting them if they break. I like how my job gives me a variety of tasks and not just one thing every day.

Post your class schedule here!
coasterkid124 replied to pvcoasterguy's topic in Random, Random, Random
Wow classes are a lot different now then when I was in school. It was pretty much the same schedule every day there weren't all these letter days or things like that. It seems like schools want more kids to get into the engineering field and science field. But back when I was in school times were a lot different. Most kids skipped and pushed cars off of cliffs. (True story for anyone who's interested) -

I had a very good ride on Mean Streak last year. I don't know why a lot of people complain about it, because there are a lot worse coasters than this. The only Dinn layout that was ever good was Predator, but you get the hell beat out of you every ride (at least in the back). -
Sweet! A brand new Gravitron! a world record breaking Gravitron No, no, no! You got it all wrong. Starship 2000 for the win!!! Leaked Image of Six Flags Great Adventure's 13th coaster, "Goliath" Coming 2016 No no no no... You've got it all wrong. Looping Dragon is the 13th coaster! Goliath would be 14! But there's a twist. Goliath would be built by Triotech so is it a coaster at all? Is it just a dark ride, a coaster, or 7D experience? Maybe Six Flags would market it as all three.

It might just be me, but Boomerang and Viper have always been two better coasters of their type. I've been riding Viper since it opened, and only have received minimal head banging on my worst rides. Same goes for Boomerang, and I am an average sized person. I don't think that Boomerang's issue is too bad either. I just really hope that the park decided to close it after what I saw last week. The lift cable slipped off the second catch car and was laying on the ground. The issue with the lift probably contributed to it. I used to be a ride mechanic back in the day, and from what I've seen, I think that there is a leak in the hydraulic system. There is hydraulic fluid laying in a channel of hoses, and the issue may be as simple as replacing a fastener. Back on announcements, the park usually announces late, but I know for a fact that Blast Off was done right before Fright Fest because the park put up billboards for it in the park.

That's what I was thinking. With Twisted Colossus being the centerpiece of the new Back Alley, I'm hoping they will give some love to Scream since it should be incorporated. It's been looking rough these last few years. Hopefully the park looks into some UV resistant paints. The Cali sun really eats up the colors. My dream for Scream would be to remove the parking lot, but that probably could never happen. I would be happy if the trains and track got some touching up.
