  1. http://rcdb.com/12263.htm Your move. To be fair, that is a 21 year old design.
  2. Yes, I agree. I think this one is a bit too cartoony but some of the ones I've seen on Main Street USA have been so realistic you can hardly see them in photographs!
  3. Yes I endured the technicolor yawn on a Frisbee I rode in Germany. I had drunk a lot, it was a crazy-intense ride, and all the strobe lights didn't help and I projectile vomited all over myself, my ex (hmm, I wonder why he's my ex) and my friends. The ride was also full, so one of my most embarrassing moments was witnessed by 31 other people.
  4. I've liked a lot of Vekoma stuff recently! Their family coasters have always been really solid IMHO (love BTM and most of their mine trains) and their more recent coasters have been pretty good.
  5. ^ First it was Magnum, now Valravn is sinking
  6. Nice to have the bonus coaster announced! I love the 'longest family Boomerang' record too, that's like an award for someone who can whisper the loudest
  7. I guess on board audio would explain why there's only seven cars
  8. I think I've seen the caps on the top of the backbone on some of their Wingriders, and I assumed they were for sand but could be wrong of course. Hope you enjoy Orlando, and looking forward to any intel you have
  9. Ah, what a sight to behold! Looks like it's exactly the same colour, supports and all I wonder whether Clermont Steel have gone into the archives, brought up the Hulk files on their computer and just did CTRL+P, or whether some smoothing out of the transitions has happened? I suspect the latter, because snappier transitions mean more stress, wear, tear and roughness in time. Will be interested to see if it's filled with sand too. I'll guess we'll be able to tell soon enough because doesn't filled track have little caps on it?
  10. I always think it's a bit weird when parks ask what rides they should build via a survey like this, particularly when they're all such different concepts because the most popular answer might not necessarily be the best option for the park commercially. I'd be happy with any of those choices, though; it would be great to see another B&M, but Firechaser Express looks like such a brilliant little coaster that I wouldn't be upset if they built this. The Windsheer also looks quite fun and very nicely themed. Hopefully they'll build all three
  11. How much of Dragons can you see from Hogsmeade? Is it a possibility that they could just move the entrance/queue so that the ride is essentially in a different part of the park without moving the coaster itself?
  12. Thanks for the update. The colourscheme is just lovely!
  13. Wowie, a month ago?! Time flies! I wonder how much has happened since? I suspect this will be another muted B&M because of the animals.
  14. I'm not sure, but I know it used to have the first generation nose when it first opened and I can't really come up with any ideas as to why they were changed.
  15. It does look a bit rough, particularly when the car is swinging the wrong way into a turn, but bear in mind these are test runs so it's too early to tell whether this is how it will ride (plus we don't know if the car has ballast in etc).
  16. It looks like it will either be great fun or really uncomfortable! The one in the video and the first one to tour will be owned by Ahrend and will be in Germany. Here are some more pictures. His Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/FTE.Ahrend/
  17. I think this is going to be the sleeper hit of 2016. I'm not saying it's going to be the best new coaster of next year, but it's definitely bit of a surprise and difficult to have any expectations for because it's so different to what Mack have ever done before, and there's only two completed elements!
  18. I think it's poetic justice that Universal's anti-Skyplex propaganda actually worked AGAINST them. It helped solidify the argument for 'yes' because people highlighted all the the half-truths in their flyers, and the fact they were trying to hold Orlando to ransom. There were so many good points made by the yes camp and so many of those points were in direct response to the scaremongering by Universal. I love Universal, but if they wanted so much control over their neighbours then why didn't they do what Disney did and make sure they owned the land around them?
  19. It is about the competition, they're just saying it isn't If they vote no, then something is seriously wrong. This closing speech by the developer is tearing Universal's propaganda to shreds, and all but 5-or-so of the speakers were in favour with much better arguments too.
  20. I love this guy at the moment.... his point is that it isn't theme parks in Orlando that are competitors, but it's Las Vegas, New York etc that are the competitors.
  21. 18 more speakers, and they are accepting no more. So about 40 more minutes of presentations I guess. The guy with glasses is making such a great argument saying about how CItywalk got so many subsidies, crushed the competition and are not even allowing competitors to respond.
  22. I think they only laughed because of his little chuckle at the end. I'm loving hearing everybody's thoughts. The kid made great points, and I genuinely think lots of people will visit Universal AS WELL AS Skyplex.
  23. I think there have been about 3-4 people out of nearly 15-20 who have opposed. A couple were nearby residents who were concerned about the visual impact, and a couple mentioned increased traffic, including one guy who seemed to think that there would be 'body bags lining the street' through pedestrian deaths!
