Adventureland (Iowa) Discussion Thread

When I visited Adventureland in the Summer of 2016, Inverter was open the entire day. But it was hardly operating because there was just no one going to it. I saw it operating a handful of times and the most people I saw on a cycle was maybe 3. -
Adventureland, Iowa. Such a charming place. And Monster is so fun!

Agreed! I really want to see something along the lines of Helix in the U.S.A. -

Haha! Very true! But at least it seems like they are trying to make it a "thing" lol! -

^ Awesome! Thank you! It would have sucked if after waiting in line to enter the park to just be turned away and directed towards Guest Relations lol! -

^ Oh I did not realize that. Thanks for correcting me! I'm glad they went without the grab bars then. It gives a much more intimidating vibe. The first time I rode Outlaw Run I was very taken back by the lack of something to grab onto lol! -

^ I'm glad they went with a much more unique theme and name. Weather theming can be found in just about every theme park. -

I honestly wouldn't expect any kind of refurbishment to ever hit Vortex. Its just going to run as is until CF decides its time to remove it. -

Front gate entry question: The three times I visited the park last Fall/Winter they were not running the finger scanners so I haven't have my finger print for my 2018 pass done yet. Will this cause any hold up entering the park when I visit for the first time this year? -

RMC trains do not have grab bars. So just throw those hands up and scream like a banshee lol! -

It is sad to see a dying breed of a ride go. But I am sure it is for the best. Side note, I'm only assuming it is a dying breed being that Adventureland is the only place I've ever seen one in person. -

We also have to remember that corporate may prefer to give Ninja the refurbishment that SFOG got for their Ninja. That would be much cheaper than demolishing it, and replacing it with another coaster. -

Personally, I enjoyed the helix. But this does look nice and there may possibly be a little more airtime on the double up into the break run with this alteration. -
I just recently found out that Twist 'N Shout was relocated to another park (Family Kingdom Amusement Park in Myrtle Beach). All this time I assumed it was scrapped. I know it wasn't anything special to most people, but it was my first, and at this time only, Wild Mouse Coaster. I'm happy to see it got another lease on life.
