  1. Do you think the employees telling people longer wait times than they actually are is a ploy to sell more Flash Passes?
  2. ^ Even if RMC does not do a Boss renovation, if the park does expand to that side of the park in the not so near future I'm sure the queue for The Boss would be re-worked then. As of right now there is no real need to, and it would'nt be easy or cheap to do with so much in the way at this point in time.
  3. I dont know how popular the Go Karts are, particularly with them being an upcharge, but everytime I've been there they are rarely busy. The last time I was there, which was late May, the Go Karts and Dragon Wing (sky coaster) were not even open that day.
  4. Watching the first video again, I'm convinced the ride will be called Goliath. The lingered focus on David's name tag is just too obvious.
  5. ^ I dont remember who posted it, but several pages back someone said they talked to Dave Roemer and he said that we will be getting a kiddie coaster soon. BTW I apologive if I spelled Dave's last name wrong.
  6. ^ Now you know how those of us feel whom have SFStL as our home park
  7. I know you cant tell from the quality of the picture, the spot he identified is actually outside the park in front of the intrance gates. I actually heard the Go Karts would be removed for Windseeker, which is just West of Patriot. I also heard it could go in the middle of the park near the Bumper Cars.
  8. It was a breath of fresh air to read your post! I'm glad that you and I can share the same opinion of this amazing coaster!
  9. I guess it could have a Greek God theme, maybe something like Hercules? I dont know just a thought....
  10. I'm pretty sure Aqua Twists and Splash Battles are almost the same thing. Aqua Twists are different from Splash Battles. An Aqua Twist is the poor man's Splash Battle. Think 350z vs Porsche... (joking... kinda) Aqua Twist: Splash Battle: Lol I know exactly what both of them are, I'm just saying there is a difference.Yes, very similar, but still different. And I think there is enough of a difference that you could have one of each in one park. I've not actually been on either type, but I'm sure I'd prefer a Splash Battle because spinning makes me sick. None the less, I'm thrilled SFStL is getting an Aqua Twist! I think they look really nice (especially the one themed to Bakini Bottom, but I dont remember where it is. I believe over seas), and I'm glad they finally found an option to replace the long defunct Hannibarrels. This ride will bring back some much needed life to that area of the park. Oh, I would also like to see those fake buildings across from Hannibarrels next to the RR track that are used for "themeing" to be removed. They look horrible! I mean, significantly horrible! By far the ugliest part of the park.
  11. I'm pretty sure Aqua Twists and Splash Battles are almost the same thing. But yet, so different
  12. ^ Oh I know! There are a lot of possibilities! I know we are getting an Aqua Twist for 2014 but a River Battle would be cool up past Tidal Wave too!
  13. I think something like Maverick would be amazing flying through those woods around KI! Right behind Firehawk would be a good place for one!
  14. There is a HUGE difference between a wooden roller coaster feeling like a wooden roller coaster, and a wooden roller coaster BEATING THE LIVING SH1T OUT OF YOU!!!! I can handle a wooden roller coaster that rides "rough around the edges", but if the types of beatings I've received on The Voyage or Hades 360 is your thing, knock yourself out! (literally!) I won't be riding and I certainly won't be putting my child on the ride! --Robb I've never understood the "wooden coasters are supposed to be rough" mentality, either. I think the amazing and smooth airtime you get on rides like Balder and El Toro would change a lot of minds. Leaving a wood coaster with a headache and major spine adjustment is not my idea of "fun." Yes I also don't get people who think that a very VERY rough coaster should continue to stay rough because it's "fun." I understand the older coasters (like pre-1950s) to be rough to some extent, but a 2006 (or 2005 in Hades' case) wood coaster should not be nearly unbearbly rough. What's "fun" about that?! The thing is, I do not find The Voyage unbearbly rough. I thought The legend was more rough than The Voyage, and that still was not that bad! Remember, this is all just my opinion. Everyone rides differently.
  15. ^ Which one was number 400?
  16. We haven't decided yet. I think you should....just sayin
  17. PMed! As much as I'd love to see Action Zone rethemed and modernized (seriously, the area feels VERY 90's) it simply doesn't seem like something Cedar Fair would ever do. The most we might see would probably be repainting/theming Flight Deck to The Bat. I think eventually we could see a path between Action Zone and X-Base constructed. Have it go under Banshee in Action Zone like the one that connects the midway to Blue Streak and goes under Raptor at Cedar Point but longer, and then loop it around Adventure Express (the final nail in the coffin for this ride's dying theming) and along the backside of Flight of Fear's launch tunnel portion of the building, maybe extending the X-Base section back down behind it and painting the building to look like a hangar and maybe put some appropriate midway games back there. I also always thought that an S&S Screamin' Swing or Gerstlauer Skyfly would work well back there. Maybe a ride like River Battle at Dollywood but themed to a sort of experimental battleship? I think the part that goes from Banshee to the X-Base extension could probably retain Banshee's Halloween theme. The park is also missing a good vertical/beyond vertical drop coaster, so I could see an S&S El Loco or a Eurofighter fitting in there. A water ride would work well too, I could see something themed to a swamp monster fitting n back there. Just my two cents. Love, love, love this idea!
  18. ^ I dont really expect it, particularly since we already have Pandemonium
  19. ^ Oh ok. Believe it or not I have never ridden Rush Street Flyer. I'm not real big on flat rides, but I think the next time I go I will actually give it a try. Its been rumored that it may not have too many seasons left either so I better get it while I can.
  20. If it could be a Raptor clone or better I totally agree with you. Since we see B&M making an invert again it is possible. It would fit in great at the park and provide the park with a marketable new coaster that has inversions which has not happened to the park since 1980 when Corkscrew was added. Yes it would! I didnt even give thought to the fact that there is only one coaster in the park with inversions! That makes the need for it even more! Even if VF does not get a new coaster of any kind for 2014 I do hope CF gives them something worthwhile. VF, MA, and WOF are all three pretty abandoned by corporate, and its time for a turn around.
  21. I'm assuming El Toro is still sitting idle?
  22. ^ I think the spinning wheel game at KI and CGA are a better idea. There are discounts on food and merchandise, along with the front of the line pass. I think it reduces the amount of people taking the spots of people in line.
  23. ^ I'm not familiar with Banshee. What was it?
  24. I really like Fright Fest, but I still like to visit in late Spring/early Summer so I can exeprience the water rides too. Which is another reason I'm disappointed at the possible removal of Tidal Wave. That was my first "big" ride at the park when I was only 4 or 5 years old. Its a fun ride, and you get DRENCHED, and it holds very special memories for me.
