  1. The Scrambler at SFStL, or Shazam!, feels faster than the one at HW. I have not ridden Highland Fling because Scramblers are the only spinning rides I can handle, but I'm told it is quite fun.
  2. ^ They are going to probably be pretty heavy, but hopefully they will all go to Hurricane Harbor since it is the end of the season for the water park. I usually hit Batman first then work counter clockwise around the park. The food in the park is really over priced and not the best quality but if you plan to eat in the park, Mooseburger Lodge, and Primos Pizza are both decent choices. Also, it would be much appreciated if you could get as many pictures of the Hannibarrel site as possible, plus a photo trip report is quite enjoyable
  3. I've got a strong feeling SFOG is getting their own Hurricane Harbor for 2014. Not that I wish for it, I just feel all signs are pointing that direction. I hope I'm wrong.
  4. ^ They could send it back to KK for 2014 lol!
  5. Thank you!! I was always wondering about that, I wonder if they are going back to an open concept? and in 2010 I walked around it a couple of time till I found a small of enough clearing to "peak in" which is probably the west side. I could never see it from Ninja, I herd you could, maybe I wasn't looking in the right place? I also hope they do something with the weird buildings on the other side of the ride on the dead end street next to the chevy building (from google maps it is a s bend walkway that goes under another bridge for the train and leads to the palace thing) Also did they scrap or move the rotor some where else? I know there are rides that I am still finding every time I go (which is once or twice a year) like the scrambler which I still have not got a chance to ride. I am guessing that whole entire area was themed to the old west at some point. Oh and one more question, something that has sparked my curiosity, the building next to the Hannibarrels that houses the restrooms downstairs. Did they use the upstairs for something at one time? Like a walk-by attraction of some sort? Yes you definitely can see it from Ninja. Sit on the left side of the train and when you are on the lift look down and to the left. I agree about the fake buildings. I hope they come down along with the Hannbarrels. Tom's Twister I believe was scrapped, but I'm not 100% sure on that. The Scrambler at SFStL is really fun, so ride it! And I've wondered that about the upstairs of the Frontier Restrooms too, but honestly they are probably just offices. Most likely security. You're welcome! I'm happy to answer what ever you like. If I dont know they answer, I'll be honest about it lol! Someone on here will know!
  6. ^ I'm not 100% sure, but I do believe they own that land. Also, they could put a ride behind the Diving Show area, thus expanding the Halloween section.
  7. ^ Hannibarrels eventually had a roof placed over the queue, and it now has a facade in front of it (I dont know if that was added before or after it closed), which now makes it harder to see it, but you can still see it, especially from the West side of the ride, and from The Ninja's lift hill. The Rotor which was called Tom's Twister was next to the train station in the back of the park, just down the hill from Rush Street Flyer. It was removed to make way for Looney Tunes National Park. The Foghorn Leghorn National Park Railway ride now sits where Tom's Twister was.
  8. Have there not been any survey markings, or signs of activity anywhere?
  9. ^ I agree! I'm definitely looking forward to it! Its going to be the family addition we have needed, and like I mentioned in an earlier post, its going to bring a lot of life to that area of the park. As long as I've been a regular to the park that part has always been dead and drab. Most of my friends dont even know what the Hannibarrels were, let alone that they are still standing. I hope there is plenty of progress photos that will be available because I'd love to see the transformation!
  10. I'm hoping next summer I can do a trip to HW and VF. I've never been to VF and last summer I did not get to enjoy Splashin Safari to its full extent. So heres hoping!
  11. To me SFStL is a wonderful park, it just really does need something(s) to draw the crowds back. We all know what that is so I'm not going to repeat it. I just dont understand why WE can see it, and some GP can see it, but Corporate cant see it?! I think I may have just answered my own question to be honest.
  12. ^ Id say SFNE is on tap for an Aqua Twist as wll for 2014. Possibly a Sky Screamer, but I'm not as optimistic on that one.
  13. What? "Mille" Millennium Force----"Timmy" Intimidator305 I know that. Look at the part I put in bold for emphasis Oh, Like I said, I love both..BUT similar stating they are both Giga's. No comparison far as Mile is a much longer "relaxed/coasting" but awesome experience vs Timmy is quick and full of intensity, put "tears" in my eyes every time! lol. The nicknames are similar LAME. Love the nicknames, or hate the nicknames....they are here to stay.
  14. ^ and ^^^ I agree with both of you because you both make very valid points. Yes, we need to clean up and take care of what we have now, but at the same time the amount of money spent on our park over several years is a joke. Hopefully it will all change though.
  15. Wow! The parking lot looks like crap! I've not been there since 2005.
  16. ^ Love it! That thing sat idle for far too long!
  17. (Aside from the fact that I can think of a thousand better ways to spend my time) There are areas of the queue under Batman that I haven't seen used since the ride's first year of operation, which are now mostly used for storage. Using these areas would eliminate said teens hurdling over the pointless Gotham area, and they could be chained off when they aren't needed. I think a lot of people don't re-ride Batman, because it takes forever to get back to the station. You can get back to the station in about a minute in almost all of the 8 or so Batman clones I've ridden with better designed queues. I guess if you like walking through pointless pathways where the themeing has been removed or is falling apart, then Batman queue is your bag. Change is OK sometimes. Agreed, I remember when they had the old police car and the water working from the hydrant, it was pretty cool, not spectacular but cool. Now it is just pointless, and boring to stand in the queue with nothing to look at but concrete or the trains going by. And I have never seen them use the queue line to the right of the mock up car wreck or inside the station building underneath Batman. Every time the line is backed up for me, all the patrons just follow the outside path, and out onto the crazy s-bend(s) part which is another wtf moment all the way out to the front and I know then thats easily a 60min wait or more. Like I said, I've stood in line for Batman before that used the entire queue. That counts the switchbacks to the right of where the wreck used to be and the switchbacks right under the station. The entire queue. And yes, it was a long wait, but the line seemed to keep moving.
  18. ^ Actually the Marriages WERE going to be legal, and when they canceled the event they simply said it is just not the right time, meaning they do not want to host an event like that until EVERYONE is qualified to participate.
  19. ^ That sounds really cool, but I'd prefer to have the junior coaster as close to the kids area of the park as possible
  20. ^ I want to know what will be removed to make it fit
  21. ^ That would be excellent for the Antique cars! The current location is rather...lame. Now Boomerang has no turning drops, just straight up, straight down, twist, twist again, loop, straight up, repeat. lol
  22. I have stood in a line for Mr. Freeze that had to use the queue houses, and I have stood in lines for The Boss and Batman that have had to use the ENTIRE queue line before. So those massive queues everyone complains about are there for a reason. Just because you dont see them utilized does not mean they never are.
  23. If they did an expansion (remove Go Karts and Sky Coaster) The Boss' queue would be shortended, and re-figured, so they would just have a walkway go over the tracks with gaurd rails just like all the other paths in the park that cross the tracks. The reason they have the bridge over the track now is to prevent people from standing on the tracks while queueing for The Boss.
