Miss Lillian's is one of those that went down hill a little bit this year.. Aunt Grannies is essentially the same when it comes to sides but for main entrees it has more to offer.. Aunt Grannies does have fried chicken but if you want chicken Lillian's is the place to go.. but if you have kids who like tacos or hot dogs and then adults who like stuff other than chicken, Grannies is probably your better choice. Grannies seems to always have a line but is also Air Conditioned.. Lillian's has very limited indoor seating with AC. Most of it's seating is cover outdoor seating and it is usually fairly warm If you like meatloaf, fresh burgers, and that type of stuff choose front porch cafe.. Also, this is BBQ time! Don't buy it at the BBQ restaurant but in the past, the market square booths had amazing BBQ that was much better than the BBQ year round restaurants.. with that being said, I haven't tried the BBQ this year and for festival of Nations the Asian went way downhill in market square vs the Asian from last year.. hopefully this didn't happen to the BBQ Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -

Aunt Grannies buffet or I really enjoyed Front Porch Cafe.. Front Porch probably has some of the freshest food on property Front Porch is brand new and they make the food fresh so it might be slightly slow.. but it's worth it especially on a hot day to rest for 45 mins or so Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -

I'm glad they listed it early, being local, I was still very disappointed last year when it was in ride rehearsal and never opened the first day I visited it while in ride rehearsal.. it ruined my day kind of. Mainly because I kept running down to check it every 20 - 30 minutes which kept me from enjoying the rest of the park lol That's why I agree with thrillermans post from yesterday lol.. if they never listed it as CD I'd suggest staying far away from it and only thinking about it when your on that end of the park haha I wish the Dollywood app was like the six flags q bot system and sent alerts when rides open or close while you are in the park Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -

They usually don't list it this early but still might be a good sign Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -
I guess we should read the entire article.. (see below) with this being said, why did the three victims "try to distance" themselves when they saw he gang approaching? Why didn't they stay on six flags property where there is almost always a cop sitting in front and with six flags security? I have been going to this park for years and remember cops being there even in middle school (I graduated high school in 2004) So did they provoke the group in the park? "“Because the attack that caused Martin’s injuries began while both he and his assailants were on Six Flags property, Six Flags’ liability is not extinguished simply because Martin stepped outside the property’s boundaries while attempting to distance himself from his attackers,” Grant wrote. The evidence at trial showed that the attack did occur outside the boundaries of Six Flags’ property. “But the evidence also reflects that Martin’s injuries were the culmination of a continuous string of events that were planned on Six Flags property, were executed at least in part on Six Flags property, and were the result of a failure by Six Flags to ‘exercise ordinary care to protect [its] invitee from unreasonable risks’ that Six Flags understood, and even tried to obscure from its patrons.” Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk

Exactly, that's what I am saying.. I feel like something more has turned up since the case was originally dismissed. Something we are missing that's not in the article.. I don't think legally, they can hold six flags responsible, it being off-site.. like you said, I could mug someone on the walking trail beside my work in my uniform but I wouldn't imagine my work could be responsible.. that's why I wondering if something happened inside the park between the employees that were involved and the victim? One question though, are there even guardrails by that bus stop? I know there is a third party parking lot beside it that offers less expensive parking to Six Flags but I personally don't remember the guardrails.. maybe the article has the wrong location and it did happen on six flags property and not at the bus stop? I wonder if they have made enough changes to the train that requires them to cycle it so many times? Interesting thought anyways Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -

That's what we are calling a failure to launch and not rollback.. there is a better video on YouTube that shows exactly what is happening then (when the train launches that high but stops).. a fin pops up and stops the train before the launch on the lift hill engages.. the prelaunch sends the train onto the hill as seen in your video then a fin pops up and stops the launch like a safety feature kicks in and says STOP I'm sure you can find the video if you search the forum.. it clearly shows a close-up of the train and the fin stopping it. Just like your video but closer I mean, in the video you posted, technically it is rolling back but not due to the LSM not having power to launch it.. it's rolling back because the ride stops the train before the lifts launch kicks in Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -

Like DJwade said earlier, weight could very well be the issue.. it's not an issue with having enough power to crest the top though. Whenever they ran the trains with empty cars, it always seemed to be cars towards the rear that were empty.. and it did run better when they had empty cars. But like previously said, most of the "shutdowns" happened before the train even attempts to launch.. it sounds like there might of been a few true rollbacks here and there, and that is bound to happen with any launched coaster but from post, most of those issues we're fixed in under an hour.. heck 20 minutes of the downtime then is probably due to maintenance making their way to the coaster and then retesting before hy open it back up lol Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -

It might be and is probably frozen dough at some point (Most restaurant stuff now is) but it's usually made to the specifications of the maker or the maker always uses the same vendor with a "secret" twist. bc like I said, they roll the dough out, cut the dough and everything.. you can watch them do it on a busy day, especially earlier during the day. It's definitely not frozen when they start working with it and preparing it for baking.. haha I'm sure the raw dough is prepared somewhere else and possibly frozen. Yes probably off-site to Dollywood specifications. but it is prepared for baking on site in the Mill With that being said, you can make copy cat cinnamon bread with frozed loafs.. but I have yet to find a copy cat that taste like Dollywoods.. I have tried a few. Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -

Frozen? It's not frozen, they make it from scratch.. Early in the day they are always making it were it can be seen. Maybe they don't make it from the grist at the Mill anymore but it's still made pretty much from scratch. It's nothing frozen! They flatten the bread, they cut the slits in the bread, they dip and soak in butter, the add cinnamon.. yeah, the dough might not be 100% fresh but it's still mostly made from scratch.. and the dough might be fresh, idk, I have never seen it being made.. I do know they don't have large freezers in that building to keep a bunch of frozen bread though Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -
I feel like there is something we are missing.. To me, this doesn't sound like a "Random" fight.. did these friends do something in the park to "provoke" this? If so, I can see how six flags might be liable.. with that being said, I stay in the hotels down from, what I assume is the bus stop this happened at.. 90% of people waiting on the bus there are Six Flags Employees, especially at night.. I assume they are holding Six Flags liable due to their employees being involved.. possibly employees that just got off work? What's strange is there is usually a lot of police patrolling that area and even six flags security.. maybe six flags security was in the area and didn't stop it? Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk

As for the cinnamon bread, so far it's one of the few things that hasn't decreased in quality food wise at Dollywood.. I know it's hard to believe, but this season especially, Dollywood had lowered the quality of a lot of their food.. Yeah a few things have become better, like Front Porch Cafe, but a lot of things decreased in quality. Cinnamon Bread so far hasn't changed much in my 15+ years of eating it.. Some batches are better than others, one day this season they were training new bakers for it.. my slice was extra buttery and not as pretty but still tasted fine but wasn't Dollywood star cinnamon bread. Like I said, last season when it was running fine they had one car blocked off most of the time anyways, running at least 4, sometimes 6 seats empty. It's a good theory, take off a car and see what happens.. might also be why they removed the trunks Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -

If this is the real reason, I'm surprised Dollywood hasn't shortened the trains. How long are the trains? Last season they ran it a lot without a full train.. they kept 4 - 6 seats empty per run and it was running fine.. also, as it has been said several times, Pete said that RMC was going to be reworking the trains during the off season which should fix most of the problems.. he also said the trunks would return and neither has happened yet.. The more you look at it, the more interviews you watch, and everything else, it does come down to trains being the main issue.. now other issues might be causing the train issues but everything DJWade says does line up with what park management has "hinted" at in various interviews and also explains why they always had 2 - 3 rows blocked off last season when the coaster ran fine. And maybe it has nothing to do at all with the LSM, one thing the park has said over and over is that the launch works "beautifully". It has been said by maintenance guys, Pete, another member of management on a news interview some of us on here saw, and even ride ops.. you never know if they are telling the truth or not but that part has been said more than anything about the downtime Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -

Splash Country is a great water park! It's top notch, and I'd honestly say it's on par with a Disney water park.. I can spend all day there relaxing in the summer.. it's themed well and has tons of slides so make sure you devote most of a day to it! If it's a summer trip, you might get 3 hours or so in Dollywood after splash closes.. Enjoy your trip! Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -

About time they post an official statement though, sad thing is, I feel Dollywood should of posted this statement weeks ago.. It's a shame Dollywood is still hiding this on their site though.. it should be on the home page.. I know people should "research" things on their own but not everyone will. Well if they were really waiting for a part to be delivered this week, you might get lucky.. I'd imagine it has been delivered by now so they can get it up by the weekend.. just hopeful thinking though Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -

Huss didn't try to work anything out, or at least anything Dollywood could agree on.. Again though, I'm in the boat that it's to early for any lawsuit and there is no telling where the original poster heard that rumor.. Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk -

I also think it's to early for a lawsuit but Dollywood does have a history of them, at least with one ride that didn't perform well.. While one probably isn't in place yet, in my opinion, upper HFE management might already be in talks with their lawyers about their possibility of legal action, if any is available to them just incase they can't get it works out.. primitive stuff.. that usually happens months, to years before a lawsuit is actually in place. Even though the lawsuit sounds far-fetched, Dollywood isn't scared to go to court over their rides.. we saw it with Timber Tower.. after its first few seasons 100% of it's downtime was due to a contract dispute between Dollywood and the maker. So yeah, I wouldn't believe it just yet but if they continue to have issues I would then believe they are in court with a portion of the maker Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk
