I figured, if RCDB lists it as an inversion, I see it as an inversion =D. Although I do agree it does have an incline to it. -

Tophats are bloody hard on Newton2! I can't seem to get a decent shape on them. -
A few close up screens of the track. Don't wanna show the layout in it's entirerity but just showing progress with it. I quite like these colours, and I quite like the idea of working an old-school horror theme with the ride. I'll see how it pans out, just been playing around with OC and Wings3D but I'm not having much luck =(. I don't want an overload of 3ds, more on the lines of what Andre did with The Red Dragon. Works quiet over this month so I should have more time to get to grips with things! The good old Intamin transition snap, with a small pop of air. If you like your arse to touch the seat at all, this ride isn't for you. Going straight into the low-lying corner is so last year.

When I first started playing with Newton I began building mega-lites. I love the little rides, even though I've yet to ride one =( I've seen the punch they can produce! I've been determined to design one but they never seemed to hit the spot. During the Christmas period I've had a lot of time to play around and this layout kinda just flowed out! And I think I have it finalised, it usually takes about a month to be truly happy with a layout but this took a matter of days, I'm actually combing through thoroughly to make sure I did't just get a bit too excited and missed points out. But all I know is it's definitely my next project. Anyway I have a picture here, it's early days still, I may re-evaluate some aspects of the layout (there's a teeny pump in a hill *eye roll*). Also I doubt I'll use these colours, they don't have the right impact. I have a vague idea of theme but I'm not 100% and it'll probably need some 3ds. So yeah here's a little teaser and watch this space.

Ain't this dead dead old? I think I've even seen a NL recreation! -
Oh sorry, I forgot how things rolled on this forum! I'll upload it now, and the unpackaged version for people who don't trust .nlpack files or don't know how to unpack. EDIT. Since when was there a game exchange here?! I tried using it and it wouldn't let me upload there anyway, so meh. Guess it has a few teething problems. Background An unusual white bird of prey has been spotted on a small island inbetween europe and the arctic. Locals from neighbouring lands have started escorting people to witness this beautiful new species, dubbed "Phoenix of the North". It's large and white, with dark blue markings all over it's body. It glides round the island's cliffs and scowers the seas for food. A special bird watching hut has been built in the centre of the island to provide the best views. Ride Design This ride is a B&M and Vekoma hybrid, taking feautures from both style flyer. It's graceful, yet powerful and full of fast gliding swoops and turns. The first half of the ride provides and a unique flying experience, with an extended period of weightlessness and interaction with the terrain. The second half is about getting your heart pumping and your head spinning. Notes You need trackpackager to ride This ride was created using Newton 2 Big thanks for Ed, Loefet and Andre for testing. Here's a screen of the ride, now almost complete. I intend to release it on Sunday 19th of December I've got for a pure white colour scheme for a few reasons. Mainly because I love the way it looks and suites the vibe I want. And also because I've not seen anyone release a ride with this scheme! Probably because it's usually connected to being the default colour, but hey I think it stands out abit.

Just a small update, I've not finalised colours yet. But supporting and terrain work is well underway. In this shot you can see the "flying-hill" (is it air-time if you're lying down..?) I put this in because I think it's something that's not used enough on flyers. Airtime lifts you off the restraint! so it technically makes you fly. I love the pops you get on Air, so I made this hill which holds it for longer!

This ride is my first semi-fantasy ride. I've always focused on realism, and seen my designs as more of a homage to real rides rather than exploring the "limits" of the program (irony?). I've always felt that flyers were hard to build, and as I like a bit of a challenge I've decided to take on this type. I say "semi" fantasy, as I will still be taking inspiration from real rides in terms of building techniques and layout theory but no company in particular, I also wish for the forces to start realistic and the supports and structure. I'll also be using an exaggerated terrain, it utilise a large island, with cliffs and hills and woodland to create an ultimate flying experience. It may not please every taste, but I don't think my rides ever have. I've had these ideas in my head for a while and it's been fun exploring how they'll work as a whole. EDIT, not really letting post pictures, so have uploaded them externally. Here's an earlier picture of the ride, in the editor. You can see the first drop, helix over the sea and pretzel loop The top of the lift hill. With a layout finalised, the terrain get's a good polishing up. Also some tweaking to the trackwork.

So glad you've gone for the short-snappy option. I love rides like that, you queue hours for a 30 second ride...and still feel satisfied! I know you'll put it off, the attention to detail looks absolutely outstanding already. -

30m is around 100ft! There's plenty of coasters with a height difference of that much without launches, including Batman: the Ride and Nemesis, Colossus etc I doubt you could say these rides lack speed. -

Background Themed to a deadly viper from India, responsible for the most deaths of any venomous snake. Experience riding on a twisted forcefull journey through the asian jungle. Daboia is hindi for "that lies hid", or "the lurker", this ride hides it tricks in the thick foliage and attacks with it's high forces and intense direction changes, you never know what to expect. Ride Design My previous ride had it's design focus on the graceful, floaty side of B&M. This ride is for the lovers of the good old school force of the 90s inverts. Taking inspiration from Raptor, Silver Bullet, Pyrenees, Nemesis and Afterburn, this is not for the faint hearted. It utilates the terrain to make sure it never loose speed and the tight turns close the terrain and scenery can pull an excess of 4.5Gs. Download Notes -You need Track Packager to open this ride. -This ride was created using Newton 2 -Please download the cartextures and put them in the cartextures folder before riding. The ride is ready for it's new cartextures Here is the location of the waterfall, just waiting for some plumbing . I won't be using objects in the same way The Red Dragon was done, I really don't think this layout needs it. It's pure unadulterated force, I really don't want to detract from the layout. -

Nah, I like solid-colour B&M track these days. And since when was Anaconda orange! I always thought it was pink and green. I want the ride to kind of compliment it's surroundings as well as standing out against it. I always spend ages trying to get ride colours right. I think this is close to what I want though. I'm trying to figure out how to build the station now. Kinda difficult. -

^ Which supports do you mean? Given the terrain a play with The view from the brakerun From inside the cobra-pit. I want the queue to go down here.
