Hunter (NL) -DOWNLOAD PAGE 2-
Richard replied to Richard's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Shh, you're not supposed to spot them! I think they're needed though, and they're not ride killing...or unrealistic, so I think it's ok. -
My new project, Hunter has been on the cards for a very long time, I've always wanted to do a dive machine, but with such limitations of the coaster type I never got a layout I wanted. I decided to go for it and after alot of playing around I'm onto something I will see to the end. Nothing is final at the moment and suggestions are welcome. Post-drop Drop

Adjust your glasses mate. You have to remember what is suggested is, A Giga Coaster with a vertical lift and not a beyond vertical drop coaster. So any "Fahrenheit doesn't have this" arguments are invalid, because this is a completely different coaster type, it even has different track ffs. -

TBH, Same 'ere =(. But if it was anything less than vertical wouldn't it need additional supports, IE, supports without track attached? To support the angled lift. And there would be a sufficient amount due to the height of a giga coaster. -

Here's my vertical lift theory! take it or leave it. And for these support connectors I think...It's bracing..maybe? Whatcha think? Am I on to something =/ don't take my word for it though I could be completely wrong, I know nothing really. It would have a wide pull out though! we've seen the top of the lift track pieces. so the track would go like this (imagine the drops like Millennium Force's). The support attached to the track would follow it round the top, making a strong arch shape. See look here V this part would be when the arch support faces vertical again and goes down to the footer on the ground, and the track goes off, like HRRR. You've got to imagine the track being less..vertical lol on the drop, put MF's drop in it's place. Hope this makes sense. It's the only way I think all the peices would fit. -
Dive Machines? What are your thoughts?

Oblivion's still the best drop I've ever ridden. -
I've litterally just finished off the ride. I've checked through it and I'm happy, if there is anything I've missed please mention it. I will post more pictures if requested and a video will be up by the weekend. Background Scylla and Charybdis are two sea monsters of Greek mythology who were situated on opposite sides of the Strait of Messina between Sicily and Calabria, in Italy. The two sides of the strait are within an arrow's range of each other, so close that sailors attempting to avoid Charybdis will pass too close to Scylla and vice versa. Scylla is the white coaster, a grotesque sea monster, with six long necks equipped with grisly heads, each of which contained three rows of sharp teeth. Her body consisted of twelve canine legs and a cat's tail. She smashed up boats that strayed too close to the rocks and ate the sailors. Charybdis is the blue coaster. A giant whirlpool of helixes, that swallows all around it. You must fight one, the choice is yours. PLEASE NOTE: The ride may not always be completely in sync ALL the time, esspecially if your frame rate is low. I've found it rides perfectly every few rides, so if it does seem off and it bothers you, reset. This ride is mostly hand built. Get the cartextures HERE. Ensure they are in the correct folder before riding. Big thanks to Andre, Nathan and Loefet for their help and testing. Enjoy and Rate Charybdis & Scylla.nltrack Track file.

[NL] Dragonfly
Richard replied to Tiger of PTS's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
I have to agree. I'd much rather do what you did here than use the flying dutchman coaster type. They're very hard to work with and ride on the sim. It's not a simple case of "vekoma flying dutchmen are pants". They harder to work with, and obviously they don't look as good. -
The page is up the NLDC was down for one day, The link is NOT for another forum. The NLDevCenter is a place to put up progress pictures to save me re-uploading for every site. It's general practice on most NL sites to just post links to the pictures there! I didn't realise people were so anal about it on here!! I've put a lot of effort ride and I think it's extremely sad that some people won't even look at it due to something so petty. I can't believe you're 27! But to keep you happy so you don't have to go through the effort of clicking on a link..

Just announcing my newest project on here. Charybdis & Scylla, a massive B&M Invert Dueler. After my last project I wanted a challenge and this certainly has been. I started the track work back in August, and I've only just perfected the layout. It's far from finished, but I can definitely say I will finish it this summer, and I can't wait to get it out there. The ride is themed to two great sea creatures from ancient Greek mythology, and can be read up on here. The theming process hasn't started yet, but the ideas are being put down already, so expect something soon. To see how the ride has progressed check out my project page HERE.

AWW I've missed that Colossus theme tune! lol But yeah i think this ride looks decent. It's taking the elements at a good speed. I think the air-time hill will be a highlight. -
Blatantly. That or Singapore are my bets.

I'm just intrigued how the ride will pull off that "wing dip" AND a final flat spin. The MCBR is very low, I can't imagine much speed after that. -

OMG, seriously. This ride has totally just come outta the blue ('scuse the pun). I'm really excited about it too! And excited which parks will be interested in getting one after this one opens. And it's themed to Iceland, such an awesome country. -

Here's the non-packaged download. UNPACKAGED DOWNLOAD You'd only be missing the cartextures...which look like this. I'd give you the link to the trackpackager, but i can't seem to find it either.. -
-Shango- This is my favourite ride of mine (and also the oldest of the recent uploads). I'm really proud of it, and it earned me a silver medal on CoasterSims (I know thats not alot for some people, but hey). An african spirit of the sky, god of thunder and lightening with three heads and six eyes. Based on IOA's Incredible Hulk and Sea World's Kraken, this is the worlds first B&M Floorless Launch coaster, with the worlds tallest vertical loop. Element list (in order). - 2G Launch - Stall Turn - Vertical Loop - S-bend and Helix - Immelman - Zero-G Roll - MCBR - Vertical Loop - Stall Turn - Helix - Small Overbank - Flatspin - Helix - Air-Time Hill - Final Brake Run Best seat: front row, very left . I'd like to thanks Nathan and Andre for test riding for me . The loops and zero-g were made using tools, but everything else is handmade. Enjoy. DOWNLOAD This is the last upload I shall do for now (may release Mystery Jet actually..... But do check out my project page, which I will update with my design progresses, but my next ride will not be for a while yet, I'll start brainstorming soon.

POV for people without NL -
Glad you're liking these. I never knew TPR had a NL section, so I'm just putting up all my work from the past 2 years. I've modified them slightly from their original releases (just smoothing some bumps and stuff yunno). I've really enjoyed making them. This is my most recent though, was only finished and released on CoasterSims yesterday. Expect a few more rides later. Here's a POV for people without NL.
