  1. I was thinking that too. Firechaser Express (Dollywood) looks like a blast (is that a Eurofighter? maybe not... prob the Mystery Mine). Maybe that could bring back some nostalgia when we had the twin mine trains running together.
  2. Hope your right, maybe you have some inside info... I still have a hunch we could receive another transplant coaster, like Medusa from Great Adventure, which can replace it. It's probably a better bet than a brand new custom install.
  3. American Thunder is the only exceptional ride you listed. (The Boss could be exceptional for reasons already discussed). The others are clones and/or park Staples which really don't set our park apart from the others. The bottom complaint is we need new Steel, something custom, something signature.
  4. SFSTL did a good job of hiding it while it was on that condition.
  5. Some briiliant person probably thought is was a good idea to force people through the games area twice - once to enter and once to leave. The original entrance was down across from the bathrooms and the theater lawn seats. The original entrance queue house is now empty and pointless.
  6. Yeah, that's like St Louis getting rid of the Arch. The Eagle defines the SFSTL skyline. Only an Act of God will remove the Eagle from our park.
  7. I agree... topper track and new trains should do the trick. And if it is decided to get the full Iron Horse treatment then that's great too. The Boss is like the Park itself, it has so much unrealized potential - very frustrating to watch year after year without the attention (cash) it deserves.
  8. Why does this coaster appear so massive? Do all B&M Invert have the same track dimensions, etc... or is Banshee just that Massive.?? Those dudes would be crushed like ants if that track were to let go.
  9. and Jet Scream was located where the Super Sports car track used to be.
  10. The removal of the double up and addition of the banked turns were probably to ease the stress on the structure and keep maintenance low. They probably figured ~ 95% of the folks wouldn't care or miss it - we are the other ~ 5%.
  11. One heck of a flying machine it shall be!
  12. Makes more sense to put the Jr. Coaster around Bugs Bunny Land. If they tear down Screamin' Eagles first queue house (no longer used) and use the surrounding space wisely it would provide enough room for something custom.
  13. The Boss at SFSTL. Coaster would be amazing with a full Iron Horse rehab, but Topper Track would be an good investment as well.
  14. I rode the Rail Blazer once or twice back in the early 80's. It wasn't too exciting and rather boring. For those who didn't have the opportunity, don't feel like you missed out on anything special. *yawn*
  15. It's gonna be an awesome ride! No doubt about it
  16. This is why SF should pick up Led Zeppe/Time Machine for SFSTL. They can get it at a Fire Sale price, SFSTL would be a perfect relocation for it.
  17. The Ninja's shelf life here in STL is way past due. Next please.
  18. I haven't been on our Dark ride in years, how bad of shape is it in these days? Guess it is a good testament to sfstl maintenance staff keeping those old barges afloat for 40 plus years.
  19. 2 majors and a 2 minors: 1. RMC treatment to the Boss 2. A Modern Steel Coaster to replace the Ninja. a. Extend the Moon Car layout, Rehab Queue, Theming, and Landscaping. b. Bring the Bumper Cars back! Not the old ones, brand new bldg and vehicles ...a park without Bumper Cars is like a Fast Food joint that doesn't serve French Fries.
  20. Yeah, I get it. Hard Rock is a good example of that but it can't really be compared to SFSTL. The park has a 40 year history now and isn't going anywhere. Yes there is risk but in STL's case I believe, if done right, would pay off. They keep throwing money at ie. Magic Mountain, Great Adventure. Those parks are full of top tier rides, adding another high dollar install won't change attendance at this point, nor would it be appreciated as much here in STL. Spread the love a bit I say.
  21. I have always been a firm believer in 'If You Build They Will Come' opposed to 'If You Come Then They Will Build It'. I have been waiting for at least 10 years for that to happen. The park needs attention, they are too many other parks around STL that folks can road trip to rather then settling on SFSTL. SDC, WOF, Kings Island, SFGA, and Holiday World are all within reach ... if you really don't mind driving then add Cedar Point. The recent additions (SkyScreamer, Water Park Rides) are fine but their coaster selection is hurting. Boomerang was the Nail that killed it for me. That needs to be rectified before I buy another ticket to SFSTL. I used to be a Season Pass holder, not anymore. Sorry.
