With the news SFMM getting the next Iron Horse treatment (Colossus), I would not get your hopes up about the Boss getting IR anytime soon. They will continue to throw money at this park to keep a pulse but I can't see SF Corp ever going out of its way to give us any special treatment. If we get lucky maybe we will get a Used B&M down the road.

So what happened to Gwazi, how/why did it become such a train wreck? Is it just Florida's hot and humid weather conditions??

Hah! I don't want to hear anything about blues... seeing as your Blackhawks turned MY Blues into the biggest disappointing finish in the NHL this season. You guys had a good run, but being a rival, I'm glad it's over! Our Blues lost and all we got was a lousy Tsunami Soaker...

My guess is this attraction will be a combo of both coaster and water elements. With the 'journey across the ocean' theme you cannot argue there will not be a boat on the water somewhere during the course of this ride.

I think you all have high expectations with all this B&M talk. I have no doubt that this expansion will be great, but expecting a 20 plus million dollar B&M is a pipe dream.

Holiday World to me is about traditional rides. A Wing Coaster would not fit the park at all, just outta the question. I don't consider Gobbler Getaway a dark ride, to me it is just a glorified shooting gallery. A classic haunted dark ride would be an awesome addition to the park

That would be really nice if they answered the line or returned messages. I have left two now with no response. They are busy finding all the nails which are flying loose from The Boss

I love the 66 days sight and I am sure whatever is brewing for Thanksgiving will be great! One thing is still lacking in the park though ... Halloween really needs a Haunted House attraction of some kind. We went to the park a few weekends ago and had a great time.

That's ashame. I think with a bit more thought and care it could fit within the 'theming' of the surrounding area. Lately it seems like they just are throwing rides at the park without much thought or creativity. It is a very good thing they finally removed the old barrel ride.

Just getting the topper track would improve the ride 100%.

Yeah, I agree. You learn the ride and know what to expect, so those stomach drop feelings eventually subside.

To me The Beast is an awesome journey with a Beginning, Middle and a End ...and an intermission (2nd lift) thrown in too. An epic ride. Great Coaster!

We chose to spend a long weekend at a park (typically KI) rather than a whole season at SFSTL. And you are correct, that weekend can get expensive but we think it is worth it over SF passes.

Because those Season Pass holders might end up like me... cancelling the pass and using that cash to take the family on Road Trips to KI, Holiday World, or WOF. My family got bored with the park and that is the honest truth.

Along with a signature Steel, the park needs a Face Lift. Imagine if Busch Gardens would take over ownership and gave the park a huge injection of capital improvements. I'd guarantee you'd see that sustainability you are searching for.

Yes, I do agree with Location Location Location. It would be an interesting experiment though... wish somehow we could test our theories. Any other STL folks like to chime in on this one?

For some reason I doubt that remark. SFSTL seems to be forgotten in the chain. They get thrown the scraps as the other chains get the Lion's share of the goods. If could flip flop the Parks, SFSTL and KI, then I bet you would see STL natives flock to the park, and Memphis peeps for that matter - as most probably haven't gone in years because it offers nothing new and exciting since The Boss was installed - maybe even Freeze or maybe even Batman. American Thunder is an awesome coaster, btw... but it doesn't have the hype as a massive Steel B&M or the like.

There was an on-going argument a while back... which should come first Attendance or Big Capital improvement ?? in regards to our 40 plus year old park, my vote goes to Capital Improvement. I argued this a few times but I am not sure I convinced anyone. SFSTL needs to break itself from the tired old mold it has been in since the 90's. It has got to reinvent itself otherwise it will continue just exist as the mediocre park it is been for the last two decades.

Layout is good but the turnaround in the Front goes right over the entrance line into HH. I can't see any coaster running there. But all the space in the Fields and Woods to the East are all open game. Something like Raging Bull would work great in that space. Once they remove the Ninja....
