  1. Northwest merged with Delta a few years ago, so the same flight you remember is now a Delta flight. I imagine it's not too bad of a drive from DTW, I know it is about 2 hours from Ann Arbor, so your estimate sounds about right.
  2. It's more like an In N Out with Burger King, since they have the blue coloring, but I thought the same thing!
  3. Yep, this is its 3rd modification. I hope it will satisfy the complainers! Isn't it only the 2nd modification? You have the original, the first modification to slightly softer material, and now the second modification to much softer material. Or was there another change I haven't mentioned? Maybe you were thinking of "3rd version" in your post.
  4. Topper track for Ghostrider and a full-on makeover for Colossus at SFMM.
  5. I think YOLO will give better forces and be more exciting because of the multiple launches and airtime over the tophat / reversing up the dive over superman plaza. I do think Gatekeeper does look amazing aesthetically and it will be tough for YOLO to match that, although I do like what I have seen so far I just don't think it's enough. So YOLO will ride better but Gatekeeper will look better, IMO. I voted YOLO since how it rides is what ultimately matters.
  6. Dollywood has some heavily themed semi-enclosed sections near the station and has targets throughout that spray water jets various directions when hit. So it has elements of a dark ride and interactivity already in what they have done. But it sounds like Legoland is taking it to the next level with their effort.
  7. My buddy and I were on Supreme Scream at Knotts early in the morning when hardly anyone was around, so the ride ops let us have the restraints out further than they should be. I had mine maybe one or two clicks down which was a terrible choice. I looped my arms through the restraint handles and held on for dear life when we started to drop. I'm pretty sure I could have easily fallen out so I really locked in a death grip. Awesome to try once maybe, but incredibly stupid and not something I will ever repeat. I'm shocked the ride op let us do it in the first place!
  8. I agree, the backward launch on S:UF at SFDK is amazing and quite forceful. It delivers strong positive G's as you go vertical and then in the back seat at least (row 6) you get some very nice airtime at the top of the non-invertered loop. I think the layout of the dive loop and twist on YOLOCoaster is very similar to the non-inverted loop and should deliver similar forces. I don't know why people are saying it will be pointless; if Premier can match or exceed what they did with S:UF this will be one of the highlights of the ride, at least for me.
  9. Cedar Point has an amazing skyline and so does SFMM. I'd give CP the edge though due to the location and the unhindered views across the causeway.
  10. For wooden coasters I'd have to say Santa Cruz Giant Dipper. For steel coasters, Mindbender (SFOG) is probably the best, followed by Montezuma's Revenge and Gemini at CP.
  11. Gotta be the Corkscrew at Michigan's Adventure. My buddy and I were the only ones riding it (I guess most parkgoers were eating lunch or at the water park early afternoon). I remember riding it again right away but my friend complained about banging his head on the restraints so it was just a solo run.
  12. I'm pretty sure it's Superman: Krypton Coaster at SFFT.
  13. Superman: Ultimate Flight at SFDK. I went to their Holiday In The Park event in December and rode this thing a few times at night when some rain started to kick up. Fun at first, but the last ride was pretty painful with all the rain smashing my face.
  14. This is the first year I've done one. I'm looking forward to see where Gold Striker will land next year, probably in the top 3 given my #1, both GCIs. 15. Fair enough. I figured there was a good reason to have such an obvious feature missing
  16. Looks good! Shouldn't it be a cable lift though, not chain?
