I am really happy that they invested in this SLC. It looks really good. Now if SFDK would invest in Kong.... but most likely not since Harley Quinn is coming.

I've personally never been a fan of Blackpool's design style and aesthetic, but this ride does look like a lot of fun. Definitely going to draw in the crowds that's for sure!

Same thing, film-wise. Only missing the queue animatronics as I mentioned. I'm sure those are long gone. One can still dream of their return, right? That would be awesome! I found a youtube video the other day from a 1998 visit and they were filming all the animatronics. Made me really nostalgic.

Not really. There's lots of parks that have rides with only one train but have a 365 day operational year. The ride will close for a small period of time while maintenance is being performed.

That's exactly how I feel. I cant decide if I like them or not.

No news here. But how was your visit? Was Superman open? I went yesterday. Superman is still closed. I assume it's for annual routine maintenance, which lasts from 6-8 weeks. Also, The Joker has been down to one train operation since the beginning of January. The second train has been sitting on the transfer track this entire time. Not sure what's going on there. Off season I suppose.

I saw a response the park made to someone on Instagram that said, "No date [for re-open] has been announced yet."

If that was the case, they would use the existing building for the new ride but they aren't doing that. They're turning it into an event space.

You should ride it anyways just to get the credit lol. The ride may suck but it is in a cool location.

What a terrible idea. And they're late in the game. VR was new and trendy a year ago. They should have spent that money on a re-paint.

I was just going to ask this! I'm wondering if the track has been shipped yet. The supports should be done being made soon as pictures have been posted to facebook and the footer rebar is about to be shipped to the park soon I believe according to SkyLine. The ride will however be put together in Orlando first for testing then shipped to the park according to Skyline. Really? Did they not test it before they sold it? That seems odd.

Maybe we can wait to see if it sucks and has miserable capacity first before we fantasize about them selling 56 of these? The art also shows three 4 passenger vehicles, which is...not much. If they added another car and hustled with loading/unloading then the capacity wouldn't be as bad. When I first saw the concept art I wasn't a fan but the video changed my mind. I really dig this concept! It looks fun with the swinging and the little drops.
