Wow, that thing is going up fast! I've ridden this model before at SFDK but I'm still excited to check it out at Sea World. Does anyone know if they are getting the two-car or the three-car trains? I believe it is going to have 3 cars like Tempesto. The train was delivered to the park several weeks back.

Thank you for expressing your gratitude. -
Can confirm, I was a ride op for Sub Quest all last summer and no one should be interested in that thing, even three year olds would find themselves bored. I've never encountered a "dark ride" that had so many issues either, I can't tell you how many times we had to evac riders off that thing. Definitely not the type of attraction you would expect from a park like SeaWorld. Submarine Quest was definitely a miss on the parks part. I have a feeling they will end up removing it in the future. It has soooo many technical issues.

Visited the park today and got a little glimpse of how Electric Eel is coming along. They picked the perfect location for this coaster!! It’s definitely going to tower over the footpath. Also love the color scheme as well. Enjoy! The pathway from Wild Artic over to Pets Rule/JTA Pathway between Pets Rule and Electric Eel Pathway walking from Pets Rule over to Wild Arctic/JTA

5-6 years? the only new "coaster" they've built in the past 5-6 years is Superman and the Joker. The Larson looper and this new ride are debatably called "coasters." you must not be reading the thread. People are excited about this ride because its something new and because of the two-train gimmick. I think its a cool concept and I'm glad this park is getting it but I do agree with most people on here...they have too many coasters with forward and back motions.. I would really love to see this place get an out and back and on the opposite side of the park in the future. They keep adding rides to the front of the park but I feel like thats an easy way out for them. Yes I understand there are animals on the other side of the park but if they got creative, I bet they could think of something really cool and unique.

I think it boils down to "Why did you paint this coaster that didntt need it yet instead of this other coaster that needed it more?" Eh, I kinda do think it needed it, along with that whole area getting much needed attention due to the opening of Justice League. Tatsu desperately needs a paint job, but I'm sure it won't get one until a new ride opens near it. Eh, most likely not. We all thought they'd repaint Tatsu when Revolution re-opened considering that had gotten a new paint job, yet they left Tatsu untouched.

SeaWorld Orlando (SWO) Discussion Thread

Perhaps. The betrayal is very real. They caved in way too soon. I know they've been fighting Blackfish for a while to reclaim their positive reputation but I agree it was way too soon to give in. They JUST SAID they were going to take legal action against the California Coastal Commission. Like people have stated, It's going to start with the Orca's and next the HSUS is going to start pressuring SeaWorld to start phasing out other animals. There's proof of that floating around on Facebook. The HSUS admitted it. I really really hope Joel Manby knows what he's doing and they have some fantastic plans for the future that will still draw in crowds. SeaWorld has A LOT to offer, but the Orca's are the forefront of the company I feel. -

As stated above, the park already said they are not going to continue with Blue World. Here is some concept art of what we are to see in the future regarding the existing habitat: https://seaworldcares.com/en/Future/Educational-Encounters/ They also stated the theatrical show will be phased out, but they will still be doing live educational "encounters" before a guest audience. Because they still plan to have an audience, the stadium's most likely are still going to be there...just redesigned. edit: I am very saddened by this news. It feels as though some type of betrayal to those of us who have stood up and fought for SeaWorld against all the activists since Blackfish and even beyond. It's shocking that they gave in so easily. And this was obviously a recent decision since they announced earlier in the year they were going to take legal action against the California Coastal Commission for the breeding restrictions they placed on Blue World. I guess giving in was easier than fighting. It's sad. Although I want to trust that they know what they're doing and we are to expect really great things from the SeaWorld parks in the future, even without the Orca's. (decades down the line since many of the Orca's are still very young, and one is currently pregnant.) -
I honestly don't understand this kind of comment. We visited BGW for the first time in 2015, and found it to be a stunning and amazing park (with the only real dud "Europe in the Air"). but I can't imagine they would bother with "a large coaster" as you put it. they already have Several: Apollo's Chariot -- large, thrill coaster Alpengeist -- large, thrill coaster Griffon -- large, thrill coaster Tempesto -- large, thrill coaster Loch Ness Monster -- large, thrill coaster (yes, it IS, it has two loops). the only real "family" coaster they have is Verbolten. . so yeah, I can absolutely see them getting a family coaster, similar to Cobra's Curse, and that's likely the best move FOR the park. lol k.
