  1. The plain teal is probably for SFFT. Nope. The rumor is the plain teal track is headed to Carowinds.
  2. If this coaster is anything like KD's Shockwave then I say good riddance...Maybe Shockwave will be next to go in the Cedar Fair chain. Never been much of a fan of stand up coasters at all. Also, I hardly doubt CW will get a major coaster in 2016 seeing how they just got one in 2012. Kings Dominion should be next in line to get the big money...However CW might get a smaller coaster.
  3. X2 cost $46 million dollars. Six Flags will probably never spend that much on a coaster again. The last time they spent over $20 million for a coaster was back in 2006. I'm sure this'll be a nice coaster, but I doubt it'll be $20 million nice. One can hope though. Six Flags might surprise us all...who knows.
  4. Wow, if this is a B&M flyer then wow. The USA has gone B&M crazy. SFFT, Carowinds, Holiday World...Not to mention all the other parks outside the US getting B&M's. Hell, the whole world has gone B&M crazy. I can honestly say, I wouldn't be too impressed with a flyer unless it's a launch like HW's launched wing. And even then, I'm not sure I'd be impressed. I like B&M, they're dependable, but if everyone's doing it...It's not cool anymore.
  5. Maybe it might be a Zamperla. SFMM built Speedy Gonzales Hot Rod Racers which is a Zamperla. Also Zamperla built Thunderbolt at Luna Park this year. Maybe SFFT is going to build a bigger version of that coaster.
  6. What if RMC is building 4 new coasters next year? Iron Cyclone, Iron Colossus, a new steel coaster design at SFFT and a new wooden coaster at SFGAd? Hey, it could happen. *crossing fingers*
  7. SFFT wouldn't be going through all this if it wasn't a brand new coaster. I don't see them going through all the trouble of guessing games if it was getting a transfer coaster. Also, SFFT is kind of slim on coasters compared to other Six Flags parks. They have 8. Yeah, they just got the Rattler revamp, but still only 8 coasters. They really need another coaster. Plus, as far south as San Antonio is, they could really keep this park open all year long like SFDK does. So, I can see Six Flags trying to invest more into this park. I'm expecting a big nice addition to the park...but that's just my opinion. If I had to guess, it's going to be a non looping wooden roller coaster seeing how they don't have one currently. And maybe RMC is about to give us something new we haven't seen before.
  8. Well I was wrong. I was thinking it wouldn't be a B&M or a wing rider...but I was wrong. But that's okay. The coaster looks awesome and I'm excited! A launched B&M...It's wonderful! I guess it's safe to say we know what Kings Dominion will be getting in 2016...But will be longer, bigger and probably faster. Thank you Holiday World for starting the new revolution of B&M coasters. I will be there next year!
  9. Well regardless of what it is, it's pretty certain that HW is better at keeping secrets than any other theme park in the US.
  10. It's all fun...Can't wait to find out. Let's all pray it's not a flyer or wing if it is a B&M. Those two types would be disappointing and a waste of 22 million dollars in my opinion.
  11. But Switzerland speaks a dialect of German as there main language. So it is B&M That's reaching. It's going to be a MACK. The whole German thing killed the B&M idea.
  12. B&M isn't German. This is going to be a MACK.
  13. From what I recall, Dive Machines are very expensive. They require a wider track which hikes up the prices immensely. Also due to the wider track it needs more reinforced supports as well. Griffon cost $15.6 mil.
  14. Oh. ok. Well whatever it is, it sure has generated a lot of talk. Holiday World is teasing the hell out of us. I'm probably more intrigued to find out what this coaster is more than what Carowinds or Hersheypark has going on.
  15. I read it on NewsPlusNotes, not saying it's fact. But here's the quote. "Another recent confirmation was that the new ride won't be part of any new themed section, just "One. Big. Thing." I don't know. Maybe it'll have it's own theme all by itself. Maybe Holiday World may want to start a whole new themed section. Who knows, it's all speculation.
  16. I also heard this coaster doesn't have a theme...It's just going to be "One. Big. Thing." That's according to a new post from Leah Koch on the Holiblog about the ride. My personal opinion, I think it should have a theme, but I'm not paying the bill so not my call.
  17. Okay, I got on board with the whole, "Holiday World is getting a B&M" idea...But not so sure anymore. Can you still buy a B&M for $18 million anymore with inflation and all? I think B&M's cheapest coasters are their Dive Coasters. Maybe it's a dive.
  18. Now the rumor is they're removing those rides and building a large structure to hold a dark ride or indoor roller coaster. I don't buy it though. If you're going to build it by the road, why would you cover it up? Build something big and let it be seen. Also, I hope Lightning Racer never goes anywhere...That coaster is just too good to let go. I say build a huge steel coaster beside it and Lightning Racer will get the amount of riders it deserves.
  19. If you have evidence that could disprove that this is a B&M (other than the fact that is has not been announced), then what you've just said might have a little tread. Until someone can bring forth this evidence, I think we're safe at arguing which B&M model Holiday World is getting. Alright, alright...you people win. I'll join in on the B&M theory. I was planning on a trip to HW next month but now thinking twice about going now and saving the trip for next year. I usually try to ride all the new B&M coasters when they first come out because I love them so much. It'll be super freaking awesome if HW does indeed get a B&M next year because that'll give me two to ride next year, Carowinds and HW. Since I'm a believer now, I'm thinking it'll definitely use PP's splashdown pool and be like Sheikra or Griffon...or possibly like Diamondback but I seriously doubt that being so close to KI. So, it's going to be a Dive coaster. You heard it here first.
  20. You should try reading some of the thread. No one is certain but the footings being poured are identical to those of Banshee and Gatekeeper with no word from anyone that other manufacturers use the same style of footing. It would be lame if they received B&M's most intense ride model? Also, no one knows how much money the park is investing for 2015. They spent $13.5 million in 2006 - their largest expansion to date and we have word from the park that this expansion will be larger. No complaints here...The larger the better. I look forward to whatever it is as long as it's not another invert. And when I say lame, I mean copy what another park has done close to you. Banshee is a great ride, hell all B&M inverts are great...But I don't want to see HW copy KI. They need something more than an invert. And I have read the thread, but it's still not enough to convince me it's going to be a B&M. Hell, it could be a third water coaster for all we know.
  21. If Holiday World got an invert coaster, that would be totally lame. And wasn't there something a while back saying that this was going to be around the $13 million range? B&M doesn't make coasters for $13 million. I could be wrong, but I remember hearing that somewhere.
  22. All of SFA, BGW, and KD coasters are different. SFA has a Intamin hyper BGW has a B&M hyper and KD has a Intamin Giga That's what's great around the Richmond area, you can ride almost every kind of B&M there is except a Flying, Wing or sit down. But all of those parks have something different.
  23. It's actually larger than Hogsmeade from what I understand. Maybe it is, but ride wise, it lacks. It could use another coaster.
  24. Great pics and report from opening day. I can't wait to visit again, it looks awesome! I wonder if they plan to add on more to Diagon Alley. It just seems small when compared to Islands of Adventures The Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
  25. I don't understand why everyone is certain this is a B&M? Not that I have a problem with it being a B&M, I love B&M...But I'm still not convinced. And if it's going to be one, there is no way they are going to put anything in that is remotely close to what Kings Island has. So, if it's going to be an B&M, I vote Dive coaster.
