Kings Island (KI) Discussion Thread
_IntaMAN_ replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That is a hell of a lot of space they're dealing with there! Can't wait to see how this project progresses! I have a feeling B&M has something to do with this project, but I also don't doubt an Intamin launched coaster could be out of question too. But my bet is on either a B&M Giga or Mega. Crossing Fingers! -

Cedar Point just confirmed on Twitter a POV of Gatekeeper is to go up on May 6th. -
Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

While queueing for Lex Luthor yesterday at SFMM, I was about to hop on but overheard some kids say "The one at Knott's is way taller than this one!" When LL is clearly advertised as the world's tallest drop tower. Made me lose my faith in the next generation. -
Unnecessary Queuing Lines
_IntaMAN_ replied to palmerleeberry's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Riddler's and Goliath at SFMM have pretty long entry paths, as well as exit paths. I also think DLR's Indy has a pretty long queue. -

^^ Saw that on Twitter this morning. PointBuzz tweeted it and good thing there wasn't any critical damage, and after Rading the comments on the article, I just don't think I wanna live on this planet anymore. -
[RCT2] PROJECT I: Playland Park (NCSO)
_IntaMAN_ replied to XYZ's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
Finally a new update, park is looking really nice, I'm loving it! Now that the park is entering the years where parks started getting "bigger" attractions, is it too far fetched to say that a Shwarzkopf looping coaster is on the way? -
Scream! was actually pretty smooth during my last visit in October, I was surprised to hear all the remarks on it being "rough", the only problem I had was that it rattled a little bit. RR is still my favorite stand up out of the three I've ridden (RR, Mantis, CGA's Vortex) but it is a bit bumpy. ^ I as well love the first drop into the loop. Very awesome element indeed.

^ Did PIXAR release a teaser for their next film? They usually do it at the beginning of their movies... Anyways I'm looking forward to MU as well, and I hope it lives up to my expectations! Since I haven't seen Monsters Inc. I guess the prequel should give me some insight...

MTV Developing Theme Park Drama
_IntaMAN_ replied to Wes's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Welp, there goes the neighborhood. I wonder what theme park they are looking at to make the show take place. -
I saw 42 this weekend, VERY good movie, and Harrison Ford did a great job as his role. Boseman was also a great role for Robinson, being a baseball player trying to get through what he had to go through. The movie had a mix of everything, humor, drama, heart, etc. and Overall, it turned out to be very good. You really get the feel of how it was to be like living in that time period, something I have not seen expressed so well since The Help. I loved it, one of my faves so far this year. OVERALL GRADE: A+ *COMING UP NEXT FOR ME TO SEE: Iron Man 3*

I'd say late June, mostly because It's not just Full Throttle opening, it's also the newly themed area. Even if it's not a lot, testing will take a while and so will everything else that's not set up. (i.e. YOLO Plaza, the new Food Location, etc.) Also, knowing SFMM and "opening dates", there will be about 1 or 3 delays for opening day.

[RCT2] PROJECT I: Playland Park (NCSO)

Nice work as always, but one thing bothers me, The "Space" theme. It seems so out of place especially the new food courts, if you can sprucen this up a bit, you got a winner -
I would love to see GhostRider get Topper Track and run trimless to say the least, let's make it kick ass again! I would also LOVE to see Colossus get one side run like it used to, and the other side with I-Box track... now the only problem there is to decide what side to ride! Gwazi is in desperate need for RMC love as well... Here's to the future of RMC renovations!

In my humble opinion, I *LOVE* Green Lantern, but then again I haven't ridden it since opening year, I remember riding it opening year and it was the craziest, most insane, amazing ride ever. I haven't ridden it since because either it was closed, or I just didn't feel like it especially when I started hearing the bad reviews coming in on how terrible the ride has become. I'll be going back April 14th to judge myself...

Got a few movies at the library yesterday, gonna post a review: FRANKENWEENIE: I really liked this movie, very nice and it's one of Tim Burton's "funner" movies I guess you could say, I expected the cheesy Hollywood happy ending but eh, I really thought it was good. Overall Grade: B THE AMAZING SPIDER MAN: Ok I really thought I would hate this movie, but I ended up loving it! The storyline ah least, Andrew Garfeild (or however you spell it) did a horrible job as being a nerd, which was the only thing I didn't like, but pretty good job as Spider Man. I think Toby Mguire did a much better role as a nerd. Other than that, i liked it. Overall Grade: A-

^ If the dark ride gig is rumored to happen and spread across the chain, with CP slated to be the first park in the chain to get it, I wouldn't think it's far off to say Knott's would be after CP in the chain receiving the dark ride, considering all the rumors and what not floating around.
