  1. I don't think anything will get relocated but if its between Lightning Racer and the waterpark, I'd bet the house on the waterpark moving before Lightning Racer. Think about it. Their waterpark is small and it has to be easier to move a few waterslides than an entire roller coaster, especially a wooden one. But like I said, I doubt any major relocation will even happen.
  2. ^El Toro is in my home park and my favorite wooden roller coaster. I have to admit your comment is somewhat accurate in my case. I felt like Outlaw Run met my ridiculously high expectations but didn't exceed them because I've already ridden El Toro. They're still by far my top 2 woodies but I just didn't feel as wowed as everybody else. Though I tend to prefer rides with extreme airtime like El Toro and Skyrush so that could be why.
  3. I think you're probably right that this won't be a major coaster but my argument against your statement would be that some large coasters don't even get hinted at until right before the announcement such as Goliath at SFGam.
  4. Stratosfear at Knoebels. All hail ARM Towers
  5. I would suggest LC first then Quassy no doubt. The reason being that Quassy has a great sunset wristband deal. At 5 they offer them for $11. As for credit whoring I believe you need to be under 56 inches for LC's kiddie coaster but I don't think Quassy has a requirement.
  6. Can someone explain to me how this makes sense? They just let riders on for the commercial shoot last week and NOW they're saying they can't let others on because they still need a permit. Something doesn't seem right here.
  7. I agree with this. GP realize Ka is a one-trick pony. My friend that's kind of GP said he prefers Toro and Nitro to it because Ka is too short. But he also said it's an amazing ride for the time it lasts. From what I hear in queues, this seems to be the majority opinion. I actually think they would like the idea of adding an element to the ride if that were possible.
  8. I call this the Majority Rule. If you're in a big group that's split up in line, go where the majority is. If 2 are ahead and 4 are behind, the front 2 people should go back to meet up with the rest. If 4 are in front and 2 are behind, then it's ok for the 2 to try to meet up ahead in the line with the group. It gets annoying to have 6 people cut you because 2 of them were ahead. But if only 2 have to go past you to get with their group, it doesn't feel like as big of a deal.
  9. This, the bumper cars and the carousel deserve to be ridden despite their clones being crap in other parks. Knoebels runs these at a whole different level that you won't understand the hype for until you ride it. I made the same mistake of skipping the Flyers my first visit. Rode it my last visit and found it to be one of the best rides in the park.
  10. So much hate... lol. Batman is probably the best looping coaster in the park in my opinion. So intense. So incredibly smooth. So awesome... Not gonna lie I tend to hate on B&M Inverts. They're the type of rides that do the job but have nothing about them that stand out for me. Plus I always come off Batman with a lot of foot numbness. I tend to be in the minority for enthusiasts but Superman's pretzel loop stands out so much for me that it makes up for the rest of the ride and makes it ahead of Bizarro and Batman on my list. I prefer Bizarro over it as well since the ride lasts longer, has more memorable elements and is more comftorable of a ride.
  11. To pile on Green Lantern more, I think it's by far the worst major coaster in the park. It's the only coaster I would have no objection to get rid of. It just does nothing for me but headbanging and/or below the belt pain. Bizarro is a solid ride with multiple thrilling elements and Superman's pretzel loop is the best loop in the park. Even Batman has at least something to offer.
  12. If the dates are true for Zumanjaro I'll probably try to go for the Season Pass Preview Day. I've never gone to a preview day for a new ride. Do these get close to the lines of a GP opening day or is it much better?
  13. Honestly I would not be shocked if Dorney got an RMC one day. It's cheaper than the major steel companies and it could give them the star attraction they need. Just a thought.
  14. I would say all of Harry Potter World is a must. That will take at least half your day there. Other priorities I'd have are the Simpsons Ride, Mummy, HRRR, Incredible Hulk, Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls and Dr. Doom's Freefall. Though I honestly don't think you'd even have time for all that. I would personally cut Spiderman before other things I mentioned if it came down to that but most people think it's their best dark ride/simulator.
  15. Gonna miss Cyclone. The 1 time I rode it I experienced some of the most unbelievable catapult air on the first drop I've ever had. Call me crazy but I prefer this to Thunderbolt. Also thought it was in the top half of coasters in this park. Might not be saying much though. However with the likely RMC treatment coming, I'm sure this park will finally have a star compliment to Bizarro next year to really turn SFNE into a destination for enthusiasts. Watch this park because I think it's going to be on the rise.
  16. I'm gonna ask an interesting question here. GAdv had some rumors to get a big addition next year. With the near confirmation of MM and NE getting RMCs, do you think this eliminates the possibility of GAdv getting a big coaster too or do you think next year can be a big year for Six Flags? I ask because the last brand new coaster we've gotten is Dark Knight in 2008 but SF has only done 2 big additions the last few years. Medusa and Goliath this year, Full Throttle and Iron Rattler last year, X Flight and Superman: Ultimate Flight in 2012. With that pattern and every Six Flags getting something every year, what do you guys think?
  17. Way to ruin the parks announcement...... But yes that was what was leaked via radio stations today I'm sorry but you can't get mad at someone leaking info here if it's true. This happens on a regular basis at TPR. We all knew about Gatekeeper and Banshee way before they got announced along with Zumanjaro and many others. I don't wanna sound mean but you can't read the forums if you don't want spoilers.
  18. 2 experiences that happened to me this year stand out. The first was on opening day at GAdv and I saw this on the catwalk: The second was on Fire in the Hole at SDC. Me and my dad were in the front row and neither of us knew about the finale so were surprised by getting wet and my dad goes on to express his feelings about that loud enough for the whole train to hear. Let's just say he wasn't happy.
  19. This happens to be my #1 overall coaster and checking the pov, it seems to last around 45 seconds exactly. Skyrush! If you wanna talk about coasters that pack a punch in a short time from start to finish, the conversation has to start with this coaster. It'll just leave you with new definitions of things you thought you knew.
  20. No unfortunately it's only at the park you buy the pass at.
  21. I don't know if this is a chain or park policy but in GAdv, I regularly get re-rides without walking around on dead days. Me and my friend got 14 rides in a row on El Toro without getting off last week. This is the one thing I really wish CF parks would do and it annoys the shit out of me that they make you walk around on dead days. Absolutely no reason for it when no one is there.
  22. ^I honestly like Zoom better for a nickname. Seems to make more sense for the ride too and it's more unique.
  23. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks Pandemonnium is massively underrated. It's honestly my second favorite coaster in the park after Bizarro. It's also amazing how drastically a train can change an opinion of a coaster. I've heard Bizarro's new trains also really changed the experience in a negative way like Goliath. Also there's really nothing that can replace Flashback. It really got boxed in with space with the additions of Goliath and NESS. That coaster alone takes up too little space for something else to fit which is why I think Cyclone being removed is much more likely. Though I honestly like that coaster more than Thunderbolt. Also imo Fahrenheit is NOT Intamin's mistake. I like it almost as much as Storm Runner tbh. I also prefer it to Millennium Force.
  24. ^I'm probably one of the few enthusiasts that prefers Superman to Batman or Bizarro. I know there's a ridiculous line sometimes but I've found myself waiting an hour for it just for the pretzel loop. I don't think Bizarro or Batman have any single loop or element close to that pretzel loop. It may be a one trick pony but I think it's a good one.
  25. It's tough to say how much Blackfish affected attendance at the Williamsburg park. I'm inclined to think that slower tourism in this area in general is more of a factor. That could be true but I saw on the list BGT took an even bigger hit than BGW which is why I placed it partly with being with SW. If it's not Blackfish than I'm wondering why the Tampa Busch Gardens took a 6% hit.
