  1. Yes, just like they put Tidal Wave in Illinois...
  2. This is Six Flags we're talking about. Anything is possible. Yeah, but they aren't going to theme it at all. Even if the name was "Australian Boomerang", they'd theme it with dirt, concrete, and a switch-back queue.
  3. Maybe a concrete foundation, or possibly some dirt. For the station, a switch-back queue, some fans that work about 0.5% of the time. That's how you theme a Six Flags coaster, baby! Lol, so true. Although, I was pretty damn impressed with Apocalypse this year. Yeah, but how do you theme a ride named "Boomerang"? It wouldn't make sense to have an Australian themed-ride in the Illinois area...

  5. Wow. 2 pieces. That thing won't be open until June at the earliest, most like July... Back to Boomerang, SFSTL won't have it up until late May...
  6. So I'm confused. Will the FastPass+ be available to people staying off site? My grandmother got a vaction club membership and got a giant suite for when we go next fall, but it is off-site...
  7. LOL We're complaining about a boomerang, when a full-out coaster (Full Throttle) hasn't even had pieces show up at the park yet.
  8. Six Flags seems to have a fetish for opening things on Memorial Day Weekend.
  9. Um, Six Flags already owned the coaster, so other chains probably didn't order them sooner....
  10. Then I assume you could accurately tell me the precise amount of time it takes a small crew of individuals to paint dozens of pieces of supports and track, along with presumably a host of other items that could take precedence? And also tell me how long it would take to get a fleet of trucks organized to transport the pieces to St. Louis? And all while there's more than a dozen other parks with projects just as complex? There's a heck of a lot of variables involved in such a huge cooperate process. Yes, other chains may have many of their additions already partially installed, but they also could have ordered them sooner. Like I said before, I'm not defending SFI, I'm just pointing out the fact that people far too quickly jump on the Blame Train and bashing the chain. No chain deserves bashing. It takes about two weeks to paint a boomerang. It's not like they use paint brushes How long would it take to get a fleet or trucks prepared? About 1-2 phone calls.
  11. Chang was closed when the park was still operating and moved to Six Flags Great Adventure as Green Lantern. Ive heard the ride their removing is Greased Lightnin'. I hope this park reopens. That would be a weird choice. It's pretty much their signature coaster now.
  12. So they violated the story's canon to open a merchandise shop. Which was my point if people are worried that having a ride wouldn't fit into the story arc, they don't give a poo-poo because they're already changing the story canon. Yeah pretty much.
  13. Also, does anybody know what's going on with the Six Flags St. Louis Fansite Forum?
  14. Um, in St. Louis a news station interviewed the park president and he said the ride would be open on opening day 2013...
  15. Is the ride they're not reopening Chang? Or are they talking about a SBNO ride?
  16. Isn't the wand shop not in Hogsmeade? I think I read that they set that up so that the wand shops are "Chain" shops (like Target) that are located in different places. So Hogsmeade will probably have an Ollivander's as well (like in the movies) due to the popularity of the shop at IOA.

  18. Because they are excellent planners! [sarcasm] People can be excellent critics, but often can't perform the task better than who they are critiquing. SF has an entire chain of parks to manage, and the bigger projects take precedence. They are good planners. It takes good planners to manage multimillion dollar additions to more than half a dozen seasonally operating theme parks across North America. There's always going to be delays and problems. I think people jump on the critiquing bandwagon too quickly, and never think about "why did this occur?". Boomerang isn't in St, Louis yet because it's still being painted out in Texas. I'm sure it will soon be on its way. Construction can begin later for a Boomerang than something like Iron Rattler because it requires far less intense construction work. If people bring up SFMM and GL and Lex, it's the same complaints. SFMM is a full year round park, and their return investment can last though the fall and winter, more than the East Coast parks. A while back it was mentioned that SFI has an engineering team that oversees the constructions of the chain's attractions. If that is true, they'd go to SFMM last, because they have a larger return window. It could also be that Intamin didn't finish Manufacturing the track in the original timeline, or it was delayed en route to the park. We simply don't know. I'm not praising SFI, I'm saying that people shouldn't bash them for attraction installation, possibly for reasons out of their control. Okay, this is a 20+ year old ride that just needs some repainting and new trains (if they're even getting new ones, which is very unlikely), yet two-and-a-half months after being dismantled, it's still sitting in a parking lot. I'm not an expert on painting rides, but I don't think it takes that long to do that. At this point, there should be construction starting in St. Louis, or at least the track and supports should be there. If you are promising an opening date, it should open on that date. Just saying...
  19. I think my family will be returning to Holiday World in 2013. It really is a great park with great coasters ( ) and the best waterpark in the nation.
  20. Because they are excellent planners! [sarcasm]
