The Mt. Olympus website is advertising Hades 360 as the world's first upside-down roller coaster. Okay, I'm sorry, but this is ridiculous. It is the third inverting wooden coaster, after Son of Beast and Outlaw Run. I let Outlaw Run's same advertisement slide, because SOB had already been closed for a few years.

To me, no it wouldn't be. Iron Rattler I would consider a new credit with the ride getting a whole new type of track and its major reprofile. But like Robb said if you think its worth it to you then count it. But I wouldn't! I actually wasn't asking for myself I was just wondering if people who had ridden it as Hades and Hades 360 counted it as one or two. I didn't ride Hades, but I may make it out there for Hades 360 in 2014.

Personally, I don't think Six Flags will spend the money to buy new trains. If they are getting Iron Horse for the Boss next year, Boomerang will pretty much be forgotten and an investment for new trains would not make any sense. How old were most of the original Boomerangs when they closed? I can't see our new coaster lasting that much longer.

No, there is unfortunately no such program. Trailblazer Pass is your only option if you're not wanting to wait. However, except for Outlaw Run and Wildfire, everything is pretty kid-friendly. There are three family coasters; Powder Keg and Thunderation have a 42" min height when riding with a parent, and Fire in the Hole's minimum is 36" with a parent. Wildfire has excellent operations, and the queue can be out the front door and still take under an hour, even on Saturdays in the summer. So Outlaw Run's really going to be your only long wait, and this year there's just no getting around that. Powder Keg will also have an hour + wait.

It wasn't posted on their Facebook. I expect this to be true. It's been a rumor for some time that after Batman backwards is over we'll see both AE Blue and Viper run backwards, but not at the same time. One will probably be for Fright Fest. I would guess Viper will run backwards from mid July to mid September and then AE will run backwards for Fright Fest. What years has AE run backwards before?

I'd probably lean toward Studios. There are more shows and less 54" rides. I guess it really depends on if the 10 year old is 54" yet, and if the 60 year olds like pretty significant big coasters. MIB, Simpsons, ET, and even the Mummy are all good tweener attractions, and I believe Transformers will be one too. Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket is 51". At IOA Hulk, and Dragons Challenge are 54" and Dr. Doom is 52". IOA has the better water rides for sure. The 10 year old is 54". I believe we are leaning towards IoA. The seniors aren't into big coasters, but are wanting to see Harry Potter.

In the end of July, my family is visiting Orlando. Our original plan was 4 days at Disney, 2 at Universal. My dad got a really good deal for less than $400 a person that includes 4 days at Disney, 1 at Universal, and 1 at SeaWorld. We have to choose one Universal park. Which one will be better for us if we get Express Passes? We have two 60 year old seniors, one 40 year old adult, one teenager, and one ten year old. I would guess IoA would be the one to choose. Am I correct?

Where did you get this information? by http://www.negative-g.com/ I found the forum topic there where it discusses that. RMC has not confirmed that. The guy at RCDB (Roller Coaster DataBase) said Boss was one of the coaster he thinks will be getting Iron Horse in 2014. Here's the real source. http://www.chicagotribune.com/travel/la-trb-rocky-mountain-coasters-10201225,0,5893765.story?page=2

On Mother's Day weekend, (on Saturday) I waited an hour for Mr. Freeze and the Boss (which is at limited capacity). Xcalibur really does depend on the crew members though. Some of them are quick, some painfully slow. But yes, those waits could really be different depending on the day. Some days Mine Train will be a walk on, some days it will be a 40 minute wait. It's hard to predict waits for SFSTL.

Next year (2014), I am planning on a road trip. My two top choices are either: Texas Trip: Includes Six Flags Fiesta Texas, Six Flags Over Texas, and SeaWorld San Antonio Midwest Trip: Includes Cedar Point, Kings Island, and another midwest park Which one is the best option, which dates would be best to go on either trip, and what other midwest park could work?

Head towards Pandemonium first. Then ride the rest of the rides in the area (the best flat is Xcalibur), with Boss being the last. Then go up to Boomerang, Screamin' Eagle, and Superman in that order. Ride SkyScreamer and Mine Train. Ride Batman and Ninja in any order. Finally, go over to American Thunder and Mr. Freeze in that order, get in line at Freeze right before closing and they will let you ride over and over again if the queue gets empty. If interested in the waterpark go straight there first, ride Bonzai Pipeline, Tornado, Speed Slides, and Wahoo Racer in that order. Then go straight to Boomerang and continue on the list. These are what the lines will look like most of the day: LONG LINES (40+ minutes) Bonzai Pipeline Boomerang Boss Mr. Freeze Pandemonium Tornado MEDIUM LINES (15-40 minutes) Batman Screamin' Eagle Speed Slides Superman Wahoo Racer Xcalibur SHORT LINES (-15 minutes) American Thunder Mine Train Ninja SkyScreamer

1. So you pointed out that the cost to build a new coaster like Outlaw Run or just completely redo the Boss would cost the same. Well considering that SFSTL has to repair the track on the Boss each season, completely fixing that problem would be financially efficient in the long run. Plus, every non-water-park ride added in the past ten or so years has replaced another ride. This is because SFSTL has no plans to expand (or maybe they do, who knows) and additional rides=more workers. Of course, either of those options are not really "expensive" compared to most rides in the industry today. 2. Um, Boss and Screamin' Eagle are hardly relevant and are nowhere near top 10, or even top 20 wooden coasters anymore. American Thunder is the only one that I see on top 50 lists anymore. Boss only has long lines when it is running less than three trains. American Thunder's line is only short because it can carry lots more riders per hour than any other ride at the park. 3. I do not believe that topper track can be applied in a few locations only. I think it is an all or nothing deal. Even if so, I have ridden twice this year, and the ENTIRE ride is rough. So yeah, topper track would be needed on the entire track. And that is not a marketable upgrade. Iron Horse treatment is proven to be a marketable move. 4. Texas is the only state with iron horse coasters right now. Both of them are still popular. In fact, some people have even said that while NTAG lacks inversions, they believe it is a better coaster than iRat. SDC just got an inverting woodie from RMC. SFSTL is going to do something to go head-to-head with them. Iron Boss would be a great solution.

I and many others also like the Boss. But, it has gotten significantly rougher every year (especially this year). I believe Six Flags has given up on retracking it during the off season. I think it has more potential as a steel coaster. Texas Giant has gotten up into the top 5 steel coasters since it got Iron Horse, and I'd like to see an SFSTL coaster up there too
