Giving this more thought, I'd really love to see them do something like this if/when they do the Colossus upgrade. It doesn't have to be anything huge, but adding in even just 2-3 new, relatively unique flat rides, preferably some with amazing lighting on them (I'm a sucker for the lights at night). A Falling Star, a Zipper, and Air Race maybe... As I mentioned before, I've always been a fan of Enterprise. Shoot, I'd love to see a Unicoaster too. What I'd REALLY like to see, though I know won't happen, is for them to remove Scream and install some sort of huge Ferris Wheel. Maybe even something like Mickey's Fun Wheel, but even larger. Make it the largest wheel with swinging gondolas on the west coast so you can claim a record. This would be a great addition to the landscape view of the park from the freeway, and would match the theme of the area much better than Scream does. Would look amazing at night too. Hey, a man can dream, right? Yes a man dream!!! Robb and Elissa, if you have any pull and they welcome your opinion, you should mention this. Too much empty wasted space and buildings going on at this park. Don't get me wrong, I love Yolo Coaster but the site would have been better used for something more KICK A$$! I would agree with you Dannyboy13 and removing Scream TPLC (The Parking Lot Coaster)! So much can happen for this park, just wish they knew it. Step it Up SFMM!

I really wish MM would and flat's to the line up. I think they needs to take the Colossus County Fair area and make it like a Fair. Remove Johnny Rockets and some of the Games, just revamp that whole area. Love to see some classic carnival ride's like Zipper, Falling Star and maybe bring back Z-Force. MM let's not always be coaster bound, mix it up!

Woke up to here the sad news about NTAG! Watched several LA new channels and they have said dumb SH@# and have their facts all wrong. Local Ventura County news station seem to have the facts straight about roller coast accidents. We just need to be patient and wait to find out the cause for this unfortunate accident

Well school is out in most areas so expect it to be busy! Hopefully SFMM has the 2 trains operations on all coasters. I would say buy a flash pass because you never know what you might be up against. Have fun……………!

i'm not praising MM, yes they are milking this build and the park management needs to be looked at for the lackluster job they are doing. Sorry, i'm Just upset that all of us talk and talk. The ride is built and landscapping is being done. PLease let's just sit back and wait for the finish product. Thank you, for responding. Have a Fabu day!

I understand the frustration and yes it is poor planning on MM part. I honestly think MM bit more off than they can chew but hey that seems to be what it is. You have to realize that trying to revamp this are was hard, it being a water ride with a lot of terrain, the land needs to be secured and footers have to be deep enough since we live in earthquake land. It took time to get cranes in place then to move them ever so often for track placement. These people are only here to built the product and safety is number 1! I know Everyone has their own right and opinion to talk shit, It just bothers me when I read all of the negative comments. I have a place in my heart for MM since I was employed from 1992-1997 and my uncle who retired from the maintenance department after 34 years of service. So if you choose to accept it, I'm sorry and if you do not. Please take long walk off a short pier! See you at opening day for Yolo Fun!

People please it will get done, enough of the SH@& talking. The ride will open in July, I have a friend who is working on this ride and he confirmed it to my family this past Saturday.The ride is ready to start full speed testing soon. I asked him if they will do night launches and he said most likely but right now they have been testing slow speed day launches. It's the landscaping, walk way and the whole Full Throttle area that needs to be complete, So please be PATIENT! You'll be screaming Yolo in a month!

This technical stuff is nice, but it's all meaningless to me. All I care about is - Does the ride beat the crap out of me or not? All I know is that at one point it didn't beat the crap out of me, and now it does. I don't care what the excuses are. Robb you are funny! YES X2 does beat the crap out you BUT it does have it good rides on a small occasion. I rode it twice on Tuesday and for me the best seat was middle train car 4 inner seat. I had a good ride, not too bumpy during the transitions. Being 6'2 225 is not always fun on these rides!

This is true! When i was at the park on Tuesday I was looking at the teeth that move the seats and you can see them getting rounded out! Hopefully on the next refurb they will pay attention to these parts!

Hello TPR crew, I was invited by a friend to hit up MM yesterday 5/21/2013 to do some undercover work! So we arrived at the park around 10:20am and the parking line was long………………!I see these kids running up in the street and I noticed it was a Jr High School Grad Day, so it was filled with dumb ass kids. We waited 25 min’s at the security gates to walk through the scanners. Okay I have such a big beef with the dumb ass public. If you know you are going to a theme park and you are taking a backpack or purse PLEASE PLEASE, have it ready for inspection and don’t bring stuff you can take in! So many people had to take stuff back to the cars. I want to give the security crew a big Kudos for being stern! Once inside we made our trek to Apocalypse to find one train operation with an empty station (of course Tatsu & X2 were packed since everybody made the mad dash to them). I have to say this coaster was working in full force. I can’t member it being that fast but leaving the ride I was sadden to see the lumber looking so bad. After that we headed to Colossus, I do have to give compliments to the crew on Colossus around 12:30pm! So many people were trying to get on the ride with purses and other stuff and they were not letting it happen. A few people were pissed that they couldn’t and walked off. People this is for safety and they are doing their jobs to protect us and the ride. This big beast was running smoother than normal and we loved it. Once we exited the train my friend went up to the employee and let her know of the great job she and her crew were doing. He did tell her where he was from and she was looked a little fearful! Overall the park was nice, the Bar B Que by Roaring Rapids was good and always the lemon slushy drink was always good on a hot day! Ride lines were short and minimal. We tried to get train pic’s of FT train but could not find it! The area is coming out nice with landscaping taking place on the hill. We left the park at 5pm but before that we stopped at Guest Relations to speak with supervisors and leave compliments for certain park employees that stood out and followed the rules Revolution with a line that i haven't seen in a few years. Apocalypse at 11:47pm with a dead station FT getting station in order

Glad you had fun. Colossus is fun but a bit rough, so no biggie! Going to tomorrow for a few hours and returning for gradnite to chaperone the kiddies! It should be fun times (yeah right)

Hey Paul & Peggy, you should be fine today. The crowds should be really light but the closer you get to the end of the month, it will start getting PACKED! Colleges are letting out, some public and private schools too. Enjoy your day ride them all over and over again. Have Fun, RJ

I think a lot of parks have sent out that survey while I agree SFMM needs family attractions I wouldn't get my hopes up. I got the survey and I agree with you, not getting my hopes up. If Six Flags Corp really wants to make the public happy. They should listen to us and start a revamp of Magic Mountain! Lay off the rollercoaster building for about 2 years or more. Get some strategy going and really think about this park. Look at Knott’s Berry Farm; they do well without adding a coaster every year (well they don’t have the space). I would really like to see more from this park then just coasters. Give me some damn flat rides.......

I say you should come and visit this park. It’s a nice park don’t get me wrong; it’s just some of the attractions need a little TLC. Like every Six Flags I have visited, all of them have some flaws. Also they have the kids that are little smart asses and think they are invincible, running around, cursing and acting the fool. Families go and see these clowns and think bad right away. You need to be your own judge! So I’m telling you to book your flight, room and rental car and we will see you here! Maybe let some of us know when you are coming and we can meet you and give you the tour de mountain!

I don’t mind a cheap pass either but from a business side. I believe they can profit a little more if they were to raise the price of the season pass. People will continue to pay for a pass no matter what becuase they love SFMM!

That would be great if they closed the mountain down after Labor day and have a Easter reopening. If the public were to see the love going into this park they would be happy. Then comes opening day, i know they would come and check it out. Park mgmt really needs to voice this to corp office. I want to see this park restored to it's once glory. The vast majority of the public only cares about Six Flags for the rides. They'd rather have SFMM add a new thrill ride every year than close down to fix the place up. Do we like it? No way. There's so many things wrong with the infrastructure and service it's not even worth listing here anymore. But it doesn't matter---thrill rides and cheap annual passes sell. Yes they do sell and honestly I wish they would make them more expensive just like Disneyland and Knotts. Maybe it will bring down some of the riff raft kids getting them. Or better yet have an age restriction like Disney just added, that would solve a lot headaches! I swear I was ready to bitch slap some kids last Wednesday while I was in line for X2.

Sir Clicks I agree with you. I think the buildings need some love and maybe a makeover too. I have written to park mgmt asking to spend some money on paint and building work, bathroom work, repainting the pavement in the DC comic area and Superman logo. How about instead of building record breakers, take 2 years off new coasters build and give my park some love. I think Batman, RR, Scream and Tatsu can become upgraded with some faux buildings. I have drawings with the buildings and what affects can be added…. Batman; Paint it all black, with black and purple trains (no grey)! Add Gotham city buildings with some lighting effects. Alter the queue area and start up that fan in the tunnel. Add some vents in the stairway to blow out some of that funky smell. Scream; give it a whole new color scheme (black columns, dark red track and the trains black, grey and yellow) turn it into a DC Comic character. Or give it a mechanic industrial them. Cover up the parking lot with black top, and install some old abandon metal pieces. RR; Paint it same colors because having the trains darker than the tracks is sad. Give it some additional theming, landscaping and tree trimming. Goliath; landscaping and cut some of that freaking bamboo down, it is getting a bit ridiculous! Tatsu; Paint that big ol’beast the same colors and put in some Chinese buildings and maybe a nice big dragon by the pretzel loop looking at you with steam coming out of its mouth. Revolution; REMOVE THOSE OTSR! Hell if Montezuma can run with a seatbelt and a lap bar. Then so could Revo….. These are just the few things I really really would love to see MM do to improve my park. Hell I would even go with my tools and landscape for them…….. RJ

Nope. I enjoy it as well. This Intamin isn't for everyone though. love intamin coasters and It's a nice concept but this is one ride that I will never get on again. My opinion wasted space......
