  1. I have never been on Curse of DarKastle, but I have been on Spider-Man. Spider-Man is considered to be like the best ride in the world. I haven't heard of Darkastle being in that debate. I has wondering what does Spider-Man do that that Darkastle doesn't. What sets them apart? And on a side note does anyone know how much Darkastle cost? I know Spider-Mans cost about 200 million. Thanks, Jay
  2. I liked the red on Xcelerator. It looks good in that area of the park. They just need to well... make it red again! Im pretty sure it hasn't gotten a paint job since it opened. --Jay
  3. I could maybe help you out but I'm going up Thursday afternoon and coming back Saturday morning. Plus I am in Long Beach. Yeah well thats nice! Im gonna go with Brent so Im gonna talk to Brent on how were getting there. And yeah Im down for the meet up! --Jay
  4. I believe they only count the first gate they go to. --Jay Where did you get this information from? Do you actually know for sure based on something you read, or did you just make that fact up? I don't think you're right. I don't know for sure either, but I would have to guess they count every click through the turnstile. Because if they counted ONLY the first gate someone went through, that means that DCA would have seen about 14,000 people paying for DCA every day of the year. I just don't think that's realistic at all. --Robb There was like a whole topic on micechat about it awhile ago. And I think that sounds about right to me, 44,000 at DL while 14,000 at DCA. I don't know i'm no expert. --Jay
  5. Im gonna go, but I need to find a ride there. My mom won't let me drive --Jay
  6. How many of those 6 million people do you think were there on 2fers? Pretty easy to inflate your attendance numbers when you are giving away the gate. 5.9 million probably. --Jay
  7. Universal Orlando dropped a lot! Harry Potter won't bring them that much higher then 2008's numbers, But I guess spending and on-site hotels will see a much larger increase. It makes me sad to see such an amazing park as IOA pulling in only around 4.5 million people. --Jay

  10. I dont know, This summer should be packed! I mean I know 3 kids from my school who are going to Florida just for Harry Potter this summer! I see a HUGE increase in attendance. I can see IOA getting close to 7 million people this year. --Jay Will attendance increase? Absolutely. By nearly 25% from 2008's number? No way. Your right, when you put it as a percentage it sounds way to big! I think 15% could happen though. --Jay
  11. Amistad is HERE! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Eq_aGHORZQ Please tell me what you think! --Jay
  12. Yeah but everyone does that. WOC will say at Disneyland Resort NOT DCA. And every new ride at Disney World, the preview says AT Disney World not the park itself. --Jay

  14. I Believe you haha, you know alot more then me. And yes it should be enough. The parks capacity is 35,000, and theres gonna be 2 major attractions which combined will get about 4300 people in per hour, plus you have the roller skater and shops. --Jay
  15. Yeah I looked it up. They were kinda in between, you were closer though. Space Mountain gets about 2,100. While Splash Gets about 1656. --Jay
  16. I think the other guys look pretty funny! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1wy_E7h2Wg Also Clash was mehh. I gave it a C+. If you haven't seen it, don't see it in 3-D it wasn't shot in 3-D. It was added a month before release and looks horrible! --Jay

  18. No Do you watch Curb Your Enthusiasm ?
  19. Operations nightmare? How so? It would be an "operations nightmare" if Wizarding World of Harry Potter was all there is to do at IoA. Good thing there is a bunch of other major attractions to help spread people out. And it's an even better thing that the two major attractions in the area are a dueling B&M Invert with 6 trains available and the new ride which sounds like it will have a decent capacity (if that 1850 number is correct, that will be better than rides like Splash Mountain and Space Mountain at Disneyland...) The roller skater is the two train model. Even the models at both Tokyo Disney Resort parks topped out at a 45 minute wait. And those are the busiest theme parks in the world. Personalized items have been around theme parks for a long time. Is there ever a 2 hour wait for a mickey hat? Ride photo? Crushed penny machine? Are you expecting hand carved wands or something? Really! I thought Splash and Space Mountain got closer to 2500 guests per hour. And I ment around 1880. 47 Arms x 4 people 188 people. The rides supposed to be about 5 and a half minutes their saying, plus loading 6min cycles. 188 x 10 for 60min = 1880 guests per hour. --Jay
