  1. Having a Simpsons reference go over your head What's worse than the legal drinking age being lifted to 28?
  2. These drawings are why I love TPR. Hilarious!
  3. I think this means they were the ones who visited your town and left the valentine. As far as why some towns don't have valentines available, I think once a card has been 'left' for each available character no more can be left until the town owner returns to their game and 'collects' the cards that have been left.
  4. These are park-specific dining passes right? Would be great if the privileges extended to other SF parks too, but I guess they want you to buy a pass for each park.
  5. ^^^^I wanted to like Brave and Wall-E more than I did, thought the animation and artwork outshone the story in both*. Up peaks in the first ten minutes and is downhill from there. Cars is a weird one - I know plenty of people who hate it, and plenty who think it's awesome. I'm in the latter group and liked it better than any Pixar film since Monsters Inc (except for maybe Toy Story 3). The sequel was rubbish though, very disappointing. I really hope Monsters University is good. When last year's Madagascar and Ice Age sequels were on a par with Pixar's original offering something is very wrong. (*I'm well aware that saying a movie is good because of the art design is the equivalent of saying a girl has "a nice personality". But there it is.)
  6. ^^I liked Wreck It Ralph too, but as has been noted it was a Disney film (great to see Disney Animation catching up to Pixar!) Brave, Wall-E and Up were good but I felt they lacked the 'wow' factor of Pixar's earlier films. Their last franchise I really liked was Cars, and Disney have done an awesome job bringing that into DCA. This looks like it could be pretty cool. I really want to make an effort to check out more shows next time I'm at Disneyland, rather than just bouncing around from ride to ride all the time.
  7. I'm progressively able to visit more towns also. Valentines are now being sent thick and fast.
  8. ^^Practical thinking. I like it.
  9. ^Broader theme could work. DCA and DLR are blends of Disney, Pixar and other brands so no reason why a third gate would be Lucasfilm/Marvel only. Thinking about Pixar, their last few films have been a little lacklustre but The Incredibles present some possibilities. And if there's the possibility of a Muppets dark ride (I wish)...
  10. Viacom V of Doom Ghost Rider (film) or Ghost Rider (coaster)?
  11. Cracking your iPad screen What's worse than the person standing in front of you using their phone to record a crappy video of the concert instead of just enjoying the music?
  12. OK this doesn't even make sense - I have received Valentines from players whose towns I still can't visit because they supposedly haven't updated. People in the third world are lucky that they don't have to deal with these kind of problems...
  13. Potentially they could "DCA 2.0" that whole area to make room for the superheroes. Innoventions, Captain EO, Pizza Port could all go. Heck, Autopia alone is the same size as Fantasyland! Maybe even a re-think of the Tomorrowland name - it's more Sci-Fi-land anyway. There's a lot of possibilities here, can't wait to see what the imagineers come up with!
  14. Congrats on the 1000th clip! Have to laugh at the third go-around, at least you guys got good value!
  15. ^Just tried to visit your town but no luck. As with everything in this game, patience is key. My first mystery love box got me the Valentine's Pond, score!
  16. I've never been to Innoventions, forgot to check it out last time I was there. If it's still open when I visit in May I'll go so I can post about how much I miss it once it's gone.
  17. Updated but can't visit any towns yet, apart from Other Springfield. Won $500 on my first scratchy, which is more than the mystery box has been giving me lately! First time I've played the game without snow. Everything is so... colourful!
  18. ^Definitely one of the best facade/queue/ride combos - really adds to the 'exploring a lost temple' theme. Haunted Mansion at DL is another favourite of mine, especially when it's dressed up for Halloween/Christmas.
  19. The bathtub is a awesome twist on the classic log ride. Great pic Hanno!
  20. ^^^Some of the comments on that pic are gold. Is there anything funnier than an argument between people who are both clueless and opinionated?
  21. Voted! 'Fav Vek Susp Loop SLC' is sitting a little higher than it used to now that Arkham Asylum has the new restraints.
  22. ^Same. Second one in a row. Boo.
  23. I'm not a big fan of '3D' as an effect, but this would be impressive if they can make it work. Current 3D technology requires fairly precise projection so if they can manage to make it work on a 'water' screen that would definitely be worth seeing.
  24. ^As long of either of those films win it I'll be happy. They're both a cut above the other nominees. Caught Django Unchained last night - up there with Inglourious Basterds as my favourite Tarantino film. The entire cast did a great job but Christoph Waltz in particular was excellent, really knows how to deliver a line. And although the action was great, the writing was definitely the highlight of the film. And, thankfully, Tarantino's Aussie accent was acceptable (fun fact: the other coal miner, John Jarratt, spent the 90's as Australia's answer to Bob Vila).
