  1. I've got about 400 eggs to trade if anyone's after a swap.
  2. I was about to say the same thing actually. Any idea why they decided the queue should be the outside? If used to be on the inside when it opened, all the theming (if you can even call it that) is still there. They just don't run the wind turbine in the middle now. I don't know any official reason but would be interested to find out. The only thing I can think of is that the indoor area might have been getting too hot during summer, so they don't want people waiting in there. Just one more item on the giant list of things Dreamworld need to fix I guess...
  3. I've left a few eggs in various towns (usually blocks of 50). Getting pretty close to that 12,500 mark now, which is good as I'm heading to LA in a week and won't have time to whack snakes every four hours..!
  4. Dreamworld's Cyclone has a very long queue that spirals around the themed exit building. Fortunately the emergency exit stairs are usually open so you can just go up those instead.
  5. I think my grandmother has a tablecloth with that same pattern.
  6. ^^I usually lose about 20 eggs if I disconnect while I'm placing them in someone's town. Maybe one day this game will get out of beta and these problems will be fixed...
  7. ^^ & ^^^ Cool - I'll send a PM closer to the day (I arrive in LA next Saturday, so will be getting a cell number then).
  8. Speaking of meet-ups, my brother and I will be visiting the park on May 12 - anyone want to catch up with a couple of Australians? We talk funny but are otherwise harmless. Doesn't have to be for the whole day but it'd be fun to meet some fellow TPR members in person.
  9. Things I learned today: 1. Writing my name using eggs is harder than it sounds.
  10. ^I love that "he's not too annoying" is considered a compliment for Tom Cruise.
  11. ^Done, just dropped them off. Someone left a nice message in my town but can't quite work out who it's from...
  12. Woke up to a whole stack of eggs in my town! I've got another 150 to trade, who wants them?
  13. Saw Iron Man 3 tonight. Wasn't expecting much (I found the second film disappointing) but it was actually very enjoyable. While Batman is a much more interesting character than Bruce Wayne, Tony Stark is definitely the better half of Iron Man, and there is plenty of him without the suit. But not in a "he's not wearing the suit so he's helpless" kind of way, rather Stark gets opportunities to display the kind of ingenuity he showed in the first film. I'm probably biased because he's an Aussie, but I really enjoy watching Guy Pearce as a villain, and he's definitely in form in this one. The story is definitely more character-driven than in Iron Man 2 or The Avengers, but there are still plenty of explosions to enjoy. I saw the 2D version of the film and I doubt 3D would have added much (hopefully this fad will hurry up and go away soon...). Anyway I'd recommend to anyone who likes superhero or action films. And, as with all films in this series, stick around until the end of the credits.
  14. Had some eggs to get rid of so dropped 50 each for a bunch of people. Happy tapping!
  15. ^Excellent, thanks. We're visiting on a Saturday in June so could be busy. Nice to know the option is there if we need it.
  16. Does anyone have information on Kennywood's skip-the-line passes (VIP Coaster Tour?). There is nothing on their website about it, I'd like to know how much it costs, and I've heard rumours of a front-seat upgrade option?
  17. I dropped about 350 of those, so if you want to send some more my way that would be awesome!
  18. Just dropped off 100 for each of you. Enjoy! I've still got another 100 to trade if anyone's up for it.
  19. ^I've got 200 to trade, just add me (aaronm29).
  20. I'm sure we'll see a Mystic Manor film series soon enough. Still a great example of what the Imagineers can come up with when the brief is for an original concept, rather than having to rely on a franchise. Mystic Manor's story is simple and supports the "ride" medium, and the designers were able to craft something to meet the budget/space/time constraints. Contrast this with DCA's Little Mermaid, where an 80 minute film had to be condensed into 4 minutes of ride. Still a good ride (and some amazing animatronics!) but just has to cover too much story in a short timeframe.
  21. Revenge of the Mummy. Williamsburg or Tampa?
  22. This series has definitely picked up. I'll miss Phillip though - didn't like him much but he was very entertaining. Cochran has much more confidence than last time he played - if he gets to the final 3 I think there would be quite a few votes to go his way.
  23. Thanks, will return the favour.
  24. True, but makes you wonder what happened to the "whatever your job is, do it as well as you can" idea. Still, would the pay would be significantly different to that on offer at Knotts or Disneyland? Those parks don't seem to have a reputation for unprofessional staff. Company culture plays a huge role in employee behaviour.
  25. ^^There are about 30 dozen fresh eggs in your town now, Robb. Enjoy!
