So, this story surfaced today, and I'm just curious to hear your thoughts. This woman posted a Facebook status and it caught the eye of several people. (Posted below). Digging deeper into the story, apparently, she was asked to leave the park after she refused to cover a tattoo that read "BITCH" across her stomach (Photo link posted below as well). Her Facebook post consists of her complaining how awful the park was and ruined her day. The Facebook post goes as follows: "I am absolutely CRUSHED. I know I won't make that huge of a difference in my lil corner of the world/Facebook-land BUT reserved a room at Mt Olympus for $365 for today/night, spent a couple hours at the waterpark and were just getting ready to go to our room within an hour or so and we got KICKED OUT BECAUSE ITS "a family resort" and my tattoos are offensive (my stomach in particular). They refunded my money minus waterpark passes because we used their waterpark for 4 hrs and sent us on our way. I cried and cried and feel so hurt for my children and beyond embarrassed. They couldn't care less that I am a mom and have a family. Complete humiliation while crying from sadness. Ruined my whole weekend". ( ) Here's a photo of the tattoo: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1071289214945&set=pb.1007557108.-2207520000.1376195513.&type=3&theater Mt. Olympus also released a statement about the situation on their Facebook page: "In light of recent events that had taken place at our water park, Mt. Olympus would like to officially apologize to any guest that feels that they have been mistreated. We do have a policy and certain standards to uphold as a family friendly resort, and any individuals that break our policy will be asked to comply with our policies. We most certainly do not discriminate against any person, nor do we wish do reject anyone entry into our parks. We welcome all guests and thank all of those who have helped shape us into the largest water and theme park resort in the Wisconsin Dells. As for what took place on August 9, 2013, we had noticed and received numerous complaints from multiple guests on the profanity of a tattoo. We do have a policy against the use or display of any inappropriate words, phrases or graphics, whether spoken or written in any form, and we had kindly asked the individual to cover up the tattoo with the very visible profanity or kindly leave the park. This individual did not want to comply with our staff and our policy, so this individual chose to leave the park and we then offered a refund for their hotel stay." ( ) It is seeming to spark quite a debate. Personally, I'm on the park's side with this one. Not that I'm against tattoos, but I would not like to be reading "BITCH" in giant letters at a family friendly park, especially if I had kids. Just curious, thoughts?

I'm hoping it's a flying coaster rather than an inverted, but that's just me. I can't wait to hear what it is! -

I get that I'm super bias, but I actually kinda like how the restraints tighten a bit. I feel as if it adds intensity to the ride. Or maybe I'm just weird. Either way, they don't bother me at all and I always marathon when I go. I got like, 15 laps an hour in May, it was great. I'll be heading back to Hershey in the middle of August for a few weeks and plan on going to the park at least a few times. Definitely excited to see my favourite coaster again!! <3 -

I thought the right back wing seat was more intense than the left back wing seat, or is that just me? -

I actually really like WildCat...It's probably my second favourite woodie after El Toro so far. I enjoy the intensity of it -

I wouldn't pay for the FastTrack. I normally always get the highest level of Fastlane/Flashpass when I go to parks, but Hershey's system isn't worth it. I'm glad I'm able to skip the lines without paying extra there (that's another story completely). Don't get me wrong, I love the park, but their FastTrack is blahhh. You only get to ride each coaster once. -

It would definitely be better than the first week of July, for sure. If you do end up going the last week of August, maybe I'll see you there! I'm going for the last week of August and the first week of September -

Unfortunately there's a One Directon concert on July 5th and 6th in the park, so it will probably infested by annoying 10 year old girls. The only reason I know this is because the fandom keep clogging my "Hershey park" threads on all of the social networking sites >.> I'd stay away until after the concert... -

Nice coaster, but the photo angle and clarity could be a bit better. 7/10 -
I did in posts above (It would be kinda pointless to keep rating each other back and forth)

Nice! I'm in London which is about a 2hr drive to Canada's Wonderland, are you nearby?
-
La Ronde is a fun place, I went there in 2008 and 2009. Le Vampire is my favourite B&M invert. It's actually a mirror image of Batman: The Ride. I've been to Edmonton, but I haven't been to the mall. I do have family out that way, so I see a trip in the near future. Where about in Canada are you located?

Woooow, it literally took me like 10 mins to realize this is the "rate the SIGNATURE above you" post and not the "rate the USERNAME above you". For a few moments I was like "huh? what does my ride list have to do with my name?". Opps. Anyways,Thanks! I still have yet to write reports about Dorney and Great Adventure (which I went to for the first time a few weeks ago), but I'll get around to it sometime hopefully sooner than later. I hope to get to more parks in the near future. I love living in Canada, but the lack of parks here (or even near by) sucks. But hey, at least I live decently close (2hrs drive) to Canada's Wonderland. Darian Lake is 3hrs, Cedar Point is 5hrs and they just get farther from there unfortunately. Funny, I go to Hershey Park the same, if not more, than Canada's Wonderland even though it is way farther. I have one more semester of college (I'm studying travel & tourism actually, lol) and then I want to travel a lot, so I hope to get some crossed off my list! My list is much longer than that, but I didn't want to spam the boards with a massive signature every time I post, haha.

I'm honestly really disappointed. I know you all are going to yell/laugh at me, but I actually liked RollerSoaker and I'm glad I got to ride it. I thought it was a unique little coaster. Personally, I don't like water parks, so taking out a coaster for a slide(s) is.... >.> But that's just me. It feels kinda weird (ok, weird isn't the right word, but I don't know what is) how they heavily marketed Skyrush as being the "12th coaster in 2012 being 212 feet tall" and also being announced at 12:12pm (my boyfriend's sister who works at the park gave me her employee 12:12 Rush The Hollow Skyrush shirt *_*) and now it's the 11th coaster, lol. -
What? Skyrush related?.... *_* 10/10 <3 EDIT: OOOPS. I thought I was posting in the "Rate the username above me" thread...Sorry!!

I got the chance to go on Friday! It was awesome as always. Although I was a little disappointed in Skyrush's slowed lift hill, it wasn't as noticeable as I thought it would be. The release of the restraints was nice, and it was kinda funny how some of the guests were alarmed as in "was that supposed to happen!?", haha. It was great to ride my favourite coaster again (and again and again.... :$), I've missed it so much! I'll be back again in August/September. I'm already counting the days, lol <3
