  1. Makes sense about the axes But I think if it was just the restraints, they wouldn't have called it a "serious maintenance issue". :\
  2. Ahh, I'm sorry. I'm not trying to mock you. I just typed ": P" and the icon showed up D: About the other account, I swear it's pure coincidence. If there's something you want me to do to "prove it", let me know, I don't know what else to say :\
  3. I can honestly bet my life that the other account isn't me
  4. Me? No I don't know why 2 people got quoted for that. It was me that asked about the cars coupling.
  5. They changed the material from plastic to foam around June, so they were a bit softer. They are aiming to open it by May, fingers crossed! Again, I've also heard that the cars had an issue with how that couple with each other?...Does anyone know if that's for sure true or not?
  6. If you want the cliffnotes version: "The restraints hurt " "No they don't." "Yes they do" "No they don't" ...I think I laughed more than I should have... :$ Just to be cliché and add to that, I honestly didn't think the restraints were that bad. I rode it about 15 times in row alternating trains (kinda a long story behind that...Well not really THAT long) and it didn't hurt until the day after. I actually hope they aren't changing the restraints this season, I loved the airtime too much!! On a side note, I am super stocked to be going back to the park this year. I went down to PA a few weeks ago and I got my boyfriend to drive me to the park just to take photos of Skyrush from the road. I think he thought I was insane. Oh well, he's a coaster fanatic too (he's the one the brought me into it >.> lol). I'll be going back in May and August, so I'm really hoping that Skyrush will be open by then! When I went last year in May, I was ONE week too early for it's opening...It was just so taunting to see it do its test runs! At least I got to go back later in the summer and ride it, haha. EDIT:Reading back in the previous posts, I noticed someone mentioned they might be slowing down the lift hill!? Nooooo D: I've also heard that the cars had an issue with how that couple with each other? And that's why it was closed for Halloween and won't be open for Spring...Does anyone know if that's for sure true or not?
  7. Whelp...I just found this thread...And being the Skyrush fangirl I am, so much for sleep tonight, lol --- Unfortunately, it won't be :'(
  8. I love Skyrush...a lot, sooo I decided to use it's logo "RideTheEdge"
  9. Ahh, there are so many that I love! To name a few: Wicked, Les Mis, Phantom, Bye Bye Birdie (I was in a local production of this one - SO much fun!), Notre Dame de Paris (French musical), Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, etc. I'm super stocked that Disney announced that they are revamping their German Broadway version of The Hunchback of Notre Dame into an American one, which will be coming to New York...hopefully in the next 5 years or so. There's also this musical theatre group based in LA called Vox Lumiere that I absolutley love. They take old silent movies and turn them into rock musicals. They have a very egdy Victorian, Steampunk style and they incorperate all different types of music into one multi-media production. I've seen one of their shows live, which was phenomial!
  10. Hey! My name is Emily and I live in Ontario, Canada. My "home park" is Canada's Wonderland, which is about a 2 hour drive away. I only planned on going to Canada's Wonderland once this summer, but I ended up going 3 times. I've ridden Leviathan 41 times so far, haha. I'm still debating whether or not to go to the Halloween Haunt in a few weeks. I do want to go, but only for the rollercoasters! I used to be deathly afraid of rollercoasters until I was about 12 and my friends forced me on one at La Ronde in Quebec. Since then, I figured they were pretty fun after all! Then I started dating my boyfriend when we were both 15 and he was and still is a huge rollercoaster enthusiast. He lives in Pennsylvania and used to work as a ride operator at Hershey Park. Yes, I live in Canada and he lives in the States. And yes, we did meet online (YouTube). And yes, we have met in person. Anywhoo, he's rubbed off on me over the past almost 3 years of being together. It wasn't until the recent few months that I've really started getting into rollercoasters. It just sorta happened one day. And then when I bought a rollercoaster print dress, I figured there was no escaping the obsession. I've been to Canada's Wonderland in Ontario, Hershey Park in Pennsylvania, La Ronde in Quebec and TusenFryd in Norway. Next summer I will be staying in the city of Hershey on an internship. It won't be at the park, but I will for sure get seasons passes! Since I'll be in the area, I hope to get over to Knobels and Dorney Park as well. I am planning to visit Cedar Point next summer for the new GateKeeper! Everyone tells me how great Cedar Point is, so I can't wait to see for myself! There so many coasters to pick favourites! But I guess my top 4 would be Skyrush, Leviathan, Storm Runner and Behemoth. But I also love Goliath, Fahrenheit, Flight Deck, Great Bear...Haha, ok ok, if I HAD to choose just ONE favourite, it would probably be Skyrush <3 My rollercoaster print dress!
  11. Yesss, Hershey Park is awesome! Unfortunately, I live a 10 hour drive away (I live in Canada, not too far from Canada's Wonderland), but I got to go a few times this summer. I love riding the coasters at night time. I think riding any coaster at night is somehow more thrilling than in the daylight. Not sure why, haha. Wow, Skyrush. WHAT A RIDE. I will be staying in the city of Hershey next summer on an internship, so I will definitely be buying seasons passes! Whoohoo, this is my first post! Haha
