  1. Thanks for the help about my planning, I'm going to try to make it on sunday since it will provide a more leisure time than a rushed feeling you get a SFMM. In fact, I'm trying to get away from that feeling and enjoy a park for what it is. It's awesome that Montezooma's Revenge will be open, it would have been depressing to see this schwarzkopf shuttle alone in it's corner.
  2. It's always a mixed bag with X2. But luckily I've been getting very enjoyable rides from it. Something that I don't really see credited is also the little pop of floating airtime you get from exiting the banked turn when riding on the right (the inside wing of the turn) due to the seat rapidly rising up. I don't know if you get the same floater on left side since I've always fate seems intent on putting me on the same side. But then again it could be the result of my light weight.
  3. I'm going to Knott's Berry Farm on either the 2nd or 3rd day of November to settle some... unfinished business. I'm deciding which day I should go to efficiently get on everything with some leisure time without buying a Fastlane pass. The park closes on the 2nd at 5:30 for Haunt and the 3rd at 7:00. What day do you guys recommended given the crowd density and closing times in consideration?
  4. Unfortunately Magic Mountain tends to enjoy performing under-par to what our standards are as far as our coaster hypothesizing goes. So I'm just assuming that their 20th coaster will be a Vekoma Boomerang to fill Deja Vu's pre-existing spot.
  5. I actually really like the view in Drop of doom. The setting may be a little dull as it's in the desert, but once you rise over the hills and mountains it makes for a seemingly higher altitude and with the view of a continuous rolling landscape which I personally think is beautiful.
  6. I disagree with Cursed as well as, as mentioned, Blackout. During my last year's visit to Fright Fest, These were the two that stood out the most to me as well as nearly all of the people I went with. Even though Curse and Blackout are simple, those jump scares are 10 times more effective as the actors blend in with the surroundings in an eerily uncanny way.
  7. ^ Six flags can also advertise it as the world's largest mini-loop!
  8. Which arcade building? Palace games was converted to the Dogs/Wings place? Unless he was talking about the arcade next to Tatsu.
  9. To be fair, X2 improved it's reliability dramatically since when it was known as X. It pretty much breaks down in the same rate as the rest of the coasters there presently.
  10. My first was also Arrow Dynamic's first. Matterhorn.
  11. What's the point? Wing Coaster trains are already suspended anyway. Don't fix it if it ain't broke. This. The whole point of a wing coaster is you have no track above or below you. What difference does it make where the track is in relation to the train itself? The rider experience would be the same. Not to mention the supporting to that can be a real pain.
  12. Sure but with cruddy operations and poor employees, it kinda ruins the whole experience. And living near the park after awhile, you just get tired of the cruddy operations. I think what he was basically saying, is that having a SFMM near you is better than nothing.
  13. Schwarzkopf shuttle loop. Would you rather be forced to save up all your money to rebuild Son of Beast and marathon it for a week, or encounter me in a dark alley.
  14. Tasered. Would you rather Marathon an SLC or listen to one direction for 3 days.
  15. Water Pollution Water Pollution
  16. Granted, but by floorless they simply remove the floor of the stand-up train. Leaving only the bicycle seats to support you. I wish that the wish I have of managing SFMM for the better would be invincible to being messed up from you guys.
  17. When I was 6. I guess what really fascinated me about the coasters was that it had the ability to horrify me to an extreme. Funny thing is that even though I didn't actually gain enough courage to go on an actual big one until more than a decade, I still was extremely obsessed.
  18. ^^ Sorry about the lost, I understand your feelings to a degree with a similar scenario with my grandpa. I also gonna have to go with the zipper. It's the only ride to this day where I always regret it when I'm locked in the cage. (but that may be because my sister almost killed me in there once )
  19. Awesome update on the deconstruction, the news is depressing but there's a certain beauty in seeing a ride dismantled/assembled. Hopefully the next ride will exceed this coasters thrill, I'll be looking forward to it.
  20. "The Island" - Pendulum
  21. X2 Got lucky a 3rd time with a smoother ride. Have a feeling a bad one is about to come next.
  22. I really like the unique engine like noise Revolution makes, Just wish it still rode as awesome as it sounds.
  23. 1.) X2 2.) Goliath 3.)Tatsu 4.) Yolocoaster Even though I hated X2 at first for trying to put me in a coma, I have to say it's been impressing me more and more lately. I guess I've been getting very lucky!
