Has anyone else noticed this guy, or have an answer as to why he's been moved to this area of the park? Just saw it on instagram and had a "wait wtf" moment. Did they put a hot dog stand over in wilderness pass? Random Hotdog

No they didn't that was the only attractions on that end of the park that were open most of the day.

Superman looks great, too bad it isn't running. My only complaint with Justice League is that random patch of concrete out front surrounded by freshly laid asphalt. Aside from that it looks great.

Looks like a wave turn to me.

Are opening weekend crowds usually pretty crazy?

Saw some construction pictures on another site, what I believe is the station building for project 2018 is taking shape and it's HUGE. With the park opening in less than a month, watching the construction of this new attraction should get pretty interesting.

They were cycling a train about every 5 mins yesterday from about 3-5. I'm no professional, but it looked like each launch was taken with different speeds. So either the launch isn't performing consistently, which has been rumored, or they are testing for rollback scenarios. Either way the coaster looks fantastic the launch speed looks slow in video, but when you are standing there watching it speed up that 200+ lift it looks fast. BTW has anyone paid attention to what they say on "Dollywood Radio" in Jukebox Junction? The radio personality says something like "check out Lightning Rod the newest creation....testing today...drop by and watch..." Obviously paraphrasing but i was just wondering if that has been a part of the playlist since the park opened or if it's been added since testing has began. I didn't pay attention on earlier visits.

While I haven't seen it launch in person yet, I have seen how insanely tall the lift is. So you have to keep in mind while it may not appear to accelerate all that fast it is climbing 200+ feet in this video.

We will probably go on a weekday, would the crowd differ much on a weekday in May or a weekday in mid June?

Planning my first trip to Cedar Point, have a question, is the last week of may a very busy time?

There's a crane on top of the hill today, they are doing some work on the peak of the launch hill it appears.

How crowded is season passholder preview day usually? How much will Lightning Rod impact that?

Thinking about taking a trip up to the park tomorrow for my first visit, how have crowds been on weekdays?

If this were proposed for the Nashville area I'd be more willing to believe it could possibly happen.

This summer was my first visit, but from what I saw it looked like the lake had become the most forgotten part of the park. It's definitely an improvement over what it was. I agree tho, that the facade of Lost River looks a little shabby, it would definitely be interesting to see them completely rework that area of the park to make the lake more so stand out than it has in the past.

Well... Who else is anxious to see the new lake front without the hideous theming plopped in the middle of the Lake? I know it's nostalgia and some people hate to see it go, but I think it will really be a beautiful improvement for the park.

Maybe the strange casing or whatever it is, is to help the track blend into the 3D environment?

Visited Kings Island in 2007, it was either Italian Job or Flight of Fear I don't recall which came first. Or any of the numerous RCT, RCT2,or RCT3 coasters I designed.

Also, keep in mind RMC is capable of using other materials to build structure for their track designs. (ie. Goliath's lift structure.)
