I think it's more along the lines of them having everything they could buy from them right now... If you look at the types of rides being put into the parks, nothing has a "could have been an Intamin" type lately... Fury 325 COULD have been an Intamin, but I don't think they would have one that so close (3-4 hour drive from KD). If we look at CP, they have a hyper/giga, an accelerator, and a sit down looper (granted Maverick is so much more) the only other styles Intamin offers is a wing coaster (but they have Gatekeeper) and an inverted coaster (which they have raptor). I'm sure we could see an Intamin Mega coaster at a park like WoF or MA, but I think something from B&M would fit better into the line up at KD than another Intamin. That, in my mind, is why we won't see another Intamin at KD.

Not that I want to nit pick.... but clearly, no; right now it is not safe, something went terribly wrong... until that malfunction is fixed, and the ability to have a train pass into a block that is not clear yet is corrected, its clearly not a safe ride. I feel like a slew of comments are about to hit me for saying that, and the first thing that comes to mind if Robb's CNN conversation after the NTAG death, but that was human error, not mechanical error. This was a mechanical error that should not have let a train into the block if the empty train did not yet clear it... -
I truly think the major problem with the loose article is that they want you to use the locker (hehe) system so they make more money. I like Cedar Fairs operations with the sliding door cubbys much better... Done ask me to buy a cup for drinks, and then tell me I can't hold it and leave it at the station while I ride the ride!

I guess I just look at it as them not wanting to get rid of the Go Karts... there always seems to be people over there, so taking a building that has been dormant for MANY years and revitalizing that area of the park would allow for great expansion... also (and I feel like we have all been saying this now for YEARS) the west side of the park REALLY needs some love and affection...

I may be looking into this too much, but is it possible that there was a firmware update by B&M that is causing issues in multiple coasters? I know on some of the other threads we've been discussing other B&M coasters that I've been having a hard time this season so far for instants Nitro at Six Flags Great Adventure... -

To be honest, I'm not sure... One of the trains when I went past Friday was butter smooth, the other train had a small rattle.... The third train was in storage and there were multiple men looking at the wheels... Maybe it's a problem they are trying to figure out... -
Hey everyone, I was doing some thinking today while watching some No Limits coasters and was wondering: What is the most expensive roller coaster in the world? I did some research on RCDB, and from what I can see, everyone tops out at about $25 million US. The only exception I could find was Leviathan which was $28 million. The only other exception I could find was the Mummy The Rides and Universal, which are at $40 million, but that would be with animatronics, so I'm not sure if I could count that as being the cost of the coaster. Any thoughts? Has there been a roller coaster that has broken the $30 million limit?

The reason why we all think there is a water park expansion in the future is because at the end of the fury announce the meeting with he media, they said something along the lines of "join us next year as we announce how we will SPLASH into the 2016 season!" Unless they plan on putting in a mandatory waterfall you have to walk through to get into the park, it sounds like a water park expansion.... -

Yup! As you enter the ride, the attendant is actually sitting in the line, as you walk down the queue in the regular line, it's to your left! Then they throw you into a row that is on the yellow numbers, so you only have to wait one train or so... Really helps!
