Went to the park yesterday on my own after a mid afternoon at Dorney Park. Took advantage of the Evening Wrist Band; and way I say took advantage, I mean TOOK ADVANTAGE. Driving into town, there were unscheduled torrential down pours, and a line of cars leaving the parking lot... When I pulled in the lot it was still raining, so I sat there for a little bit and checked emails and made the depiction on weather to get the wrist band. Walked into the park just as the rain stopped, and it was relatively dead. Got the wrist band, and they let me start using it an hour earlier than usual! Impulse - great ride. Really perfect. I think it added exactly what he park was missing. I love the old style of the rest of the park, but this was a great addition. Super smooth, super quiet, and super fun! Best feature? SINGLE RIDER LINE!!! With that, got three rides in in a row, with just a walk around between each ride! Twister - better than I remembered from last year. Saw a lot of new wood on the track, and it was hauling ass. Ended up with 4 rides through the night. Flying turns - great ride, really fun. Unfortunately, the capacity is low, rode it once, but stuck withpheonix for the rest of the night. Phoenix - marathoned like nones buisness. Did 3 times in a row without getting up in the midd seat of the back car, the. 2 times in the front car, front seat with a walk around in between, and then 5 rides in the second car middle row WITHOUT GETTING UP! I was in heaven! Pit was hauling through the ride, air time that actually scared me, I was so far out of the seat. At one point I felt like I needed to gain some weight so I wasn't so easily thrown around. I realized I could hook my feat under the seat in front of me and that made me enjoy the ride even more. I did sneak a ride on Black Dimond. It was pretty cool I have to admit. Took a spin on the scenic skyway, and watched a bunch of the spin and pukes. Not my cup of tea, but very cool to watch. Ate a ton of food and tried birch beer for the first time, and then hit the road to come up here to my farm house. Overall a great way to start the Memorial Day weekend! Especially with no lines!!!

At the park now. Beautiful day. Sun shine a few clouds and most importantly everything is riding great! Online for steel force, been on everything else within the last 2 hours! Lots of music programs here. Middle schoolers everywhere! Hitting the old fashion sandwich company around the block and then heading to Knobel's for the evening! Happy Memorial Day everyone!

I think I like that though... Its more of a treat than an always kind of thing. That way, they get guests who say "oh man, I wish we raced on the second half rather than the first half, lets go ride it again"

That. Is. Insane. The entire second half I had no idea where I was on the circuit!!! I can not WAIT! to get up there soon!!!

I don't know... 720 PPH is a bit low for great adventure...

I'd be extra ticket to get one of these at great adventure.... I do agree that it would need to be a larger version... Capacity is always an issue at great adventure... It would be great to see this in the enchanted forest as an addition to the marvel universe area, I'm still hoping for a beautiful mid sized woodie near the lake....

I'm planning on going to DP again for the second time this season on Friday on my way up my farmhouse upstate. Has anyone been in the past two weeks? Is possessed back open? Is the back spike break working?

Thanks for the warning! We are heading to Kings Island this summer as part of our massive #8days90coasters trip. I need some planning advice: We're staying at the Comfort Inn Suites across the highway. We're coming in on a Sunday night, and plan on hitting Beast and Banshee at night, as we have been told MANY times by all of you! HERES THE QUESTION: Monday morning, we are looking to hit the rest of the coasters and then head up to Cedar Point. What do you suggest as a plan of attack for Monday, knowing that we will be getting rides in on Banshee and Beast the night before? Thanks!

I agree... I would can the dorney park day for a day at knobles! If you have your heart on getting to dorney park, and aren't a water park fan, you can get the whole park done in about 3-4 hours....

Alhthough I am not a fan of these types of rides, El Diablo looks great! Dear Six Flags, See how nice things look with big mature trees near by? I hope your planning on leaving most of those treeless by the lake, because taking them all out would be a pity... Love, Everyone who breaths oxygen

I do agree it's missing a zero g roll, and if they decided to do use two trains instead of three, I think the MCBR would have been a very cool spot for one. That being said, the two turns between the vertical loop and cobra roll make up for the missing zero g!

This is very true! Unlike nitro and Kingda aka, we couldn't really watch anything else get built since the park is so set back from the road...

Is it possible SOME of these markings are for the solar farm? I would love to see something other than an S&S free spin near the lake... I always liked the idea of a woodie next to the lake (like Raven at Holiday World). I'm not complaining too have something like that at out park, but when you look at the line up, a medium woodie is really what is missing.... Maybe, just maybe, they realize that, and they know that they can't build it on a year by its own, since lines would be insane for a small addition... So maybe it's both a woodie near the lake and something bigger near the old chiller station! An S&S free spin doesn't seem like a high ticket item co paired to some of the other rides built lately...

Well I know everyone would respond with a "they did at the last two parks" but who says it needs to be that style and design? Something more open and inviting, possibly a bit whimsical would look much better than the gates they have now!

I'm. It sure we would see them connect the solar field to the center of the park near the lake.... But then again, do we even know where that field is going?

International a street is fine, that I agree... But everything north of it could REALLY use a makeover. Logistically it is all set up just fine, but visually it doesn't really match anything you come into contact with once you go through the gate... It's blocky and bland, then you walk through the gate to all those beautiful oversize colorful flowers... It just doesn't really work...

It really would be great if we could add this idea to the park index.... Would make looking for something near parks much easier while on the road! Either way, your truly helping out my summer trip tremendously!!! I'm going to get so fat!

If this is the case, I do hope they take a page from other parks and not just clear all the land. Those trees are so very nice to walk through during the hot summer days. I was really hoping for a revitalization of the west side of the park first. But this is exciting to see!!

What a great ride sign! I can't remember a ride at great adventure having such an elaborate sign! Green lantern comes to mind, but it's really just the lantern out on the midway...

Definitely not the best, but definitely the most intense!
