ShaKira, one coaster thats probably been B&M's best as of late... noting the only other post-2000 B&M I rode was S:UF at SFOG. Cheetah Chase has been at Busch since late Februrary 2004. My only pet peeve with ShaKira is the ops acting like teachers, assigning you seats instead of you choosing like on all of the other rides at the park.

Alright, I decided to release this "update" a day early. My summer has officially begun... First up, some Hydrocity Water Park updates... Tidal Force Wave Pool. Based on Six Flags' Hurricane Mountain slides, Hydro Mountain is Hydrocity's icon for the waterpark that can be seen from most of the park. Last Hydrocity screen... Hydrocity's "beachside" picnic area on the shore of Wonder Lake. The true AIRTIME machine and full of pride, this years BIG addition is an Intamin Mega coaster reaching heights of 250ft. called Patriot. This screen shows off a stretch of land that contains three attractions. The first is the World Transporter skyride, the second is an Intamin Impulse called Pulse. The third item is a laser light fireworks show called BLAST! that shows during Summer nights. Don't worry, the rides on the stretch close 1 hour before BLAST! starts. Thats it... Comments?

(still procrastinates) My only peeve is that it takes up most of the 800x600 screen. I really should upgrade to a 1024x768 monitor...

N00B and Fanboy...

^Well, I am sure the funniest would have to go to the opening day for SheiKra yesterday. Barely any of the park workers could stop anybody from running. It seemed like a marathon!

Today, I went up to Busch Gardens to get my first ride on SheiKra. On the road at 7 AM, I arrived at the park at 7:40 and a few people (spotted some FLCCers and ACErs (with the help of enthusiasts wearing "THE BEAST: 25TH ANNIVERSARY" shirts)) were waiting. After waiting 1 1/2 hours of waiting for the gate to open, I dashed afterwards, but not fast enough to get the first ride. When I arrived in Stanleyville, SheiKra was testing and as I entered the line, SheiKra tested on for another 15 minutes. When the first trainload of GP were loaded, a cheer erupted in the station. 10 minutes later, it was my turn to board it. Yes, this B&M is weird in ways, loading was efficient, loading two trains at once and dispatching one at a time. I ended up getting the middle seat on the second row. I was off into the STEEP 45 degree lift, which put you face up. Suddenly, you slowly turn and your facing down for the longest four seconds ever... WOOSH, you gain a LOT of speed down the first drop and you hit 70 mph before you know it. After that, you go up the Immelman, some tasty Hangtime there, then the Carousel Curve. The curve had a LITTLE force, but not alot. Following the Immelman is the brakes to the second "near vertical" drop (at 81 degrees). The second drop gave some decent airtime before going into the third turnaround into the splash area. The splash? Not one single drop lands on ANYBODY on the train. After that, you go through a helix and you are still going fast. After that, the brakes come, and everybody says "Man, that ride kicked serious a**!" But SheiKra didn't fufill everything, it still felt short, but it was amazing and had little force, I give it an 8/10. Though everything wasnt completed, the Station wasn't completed, some construction walls are up, landscape crews were still planting, and the On-ride photo section still hasn't been done. All and all, it turned out to be a good short trip to BGT, despite the crowds. By the time I left, SheiKra had a wait of 4 1/2 hours! Whatever it is, SheiKra will definitely help Busch's low attendance. And now, the obligatory pictures! After the first drop. Train diving down second "vertical" drop. Train traversing Immelman Twisted mass of vertical track. Another Immelman Shot. Both drops, with one train about to head down the second drop. Remember where Robb and Elissa were standing? All of the onride POVs the media had were crap... The only quality one I liked from my local stations were FOX 13's and Newschannel (NBC) 8's. My local one, ABC 7 (or if your a true local, ABC 40) lost sound during the Immelman area. Can't wait to ride this tomorrow! Especially after reading George's (SirWillow) review of that thing on media day. 8)

Its animated too! And teh reason why I did this... I had to write a Park Gallery page (which consists of the parks history) on Darien Lake, and so, for history, I had to look through old posts on rec-rollercoaster and such. While I was browsing through Darien Lake's website, I bumped across these little gifs they had of their "star attractions". This is what happens when you have too much spare time.

Alright, it seems that since the official computer topic thread above doesn't get that much reply from members, heres my situation. I was just browsing TN, as usual during my procrastinated state of not studying for my finals, until suddenly, Firefox closes, all of the icons and toolbar disappear and my computer shuts down, just like it usually does whenever you do it manually. It was sudden, I was just browsing the forum and my computer crashed. I booted it up again shortly after and went on, as normal, when Windows was finally booted up, suddenly 2 termination notices pop-up, both DLL files. After the two notices, the computer shuts itself down. Turned the comp on again, except this time the computer spontaneously flickered on and off and I had to unplug it. For those of you who are nerdy enough to know PC's alot, WTF happened to my comp? A few things before answering: -I update daily, AVG 7.0 updated, Windows SP 2 updated, etc. -I haven't downloaded anything suspicious, nor did I give out my IP address if it turns out to be a hack attack on my comp. -And for you RCT nerds, sad to say, Funzones World's of Wonder is scrapped if my computer is screwed.

Hey, you can't forget the fact that... THERES GOING TO BE AN ONLINE SMASH BROS. AS A LAUNCH TITLE. Sorry, E3 excitement got to me... but I am DEFINITELY going to get this on launch day.

Alright, I was just watching SNL reruns on E! and suddenly a Cedar Point ad comes on. It shows off maXair and all of the star coasters of the park and includes shots of Magnum with its new paint. Anybody seen the ad yet?
