  1. Haunted Hills Halloween at Kodiak Hills! Sorry for the lack of updates, but I haven't had much time to visit the park recently. However, I designated this fine Saturday as a day to update the park's first Halloween event! I utilized the day-time to take pics of what you will see at day and contrast them of what you will see at night. The park does a good job to conceal the creepiness that will be very much apparent during the night-time hours. Lets start with the day pics! The park's entrance has a creepy, destroyed castle facade added to it. It isn't too overwhelming, but I think they could have done a better job to conceal the original entrance. Oh well, it still works. The Town Square still has it's beautiful charm. No apparent Halloween overlay has been added to it... Hmmm. The beginning of Wild Fields Fair has some fake creepy trees looming over the midway. The Great Grizzly also has no apparent Halloween overlay. Oh well, it's still a great ride. Ah, finally somewhere where some action is. The Danger Forest is 1 of 2 "scare lands" in the park. Not only is there multiple special walk-throughs and shows that will be taking place in The Danger Forest, but it is also crawling with multiple scare actors. If you don't want to be scared senseless, stay away from The Danger Forest. Forsaken Mine's queue will be transformed into "The Hallways of the Forgotten", a scare maze crawling with scare actors and multiple special effects themed to zombie miners who got trapped underground for far too long... The empty lot that once housed the Peril Shaft has been transformed into "Death & Deather's Halloween Party", a comedic and wacky Halloween show. Note: NOT suitable for small children. The Mystery House will house a wacky 3-D walk-through themed to dreaming about Halloween. Nothing scary in this house, but expect a lot of wacky and disorienting moments. Old Town remains unchanged. Slippery Rock Falls will remain open all night for the first time however, so if you're up for a log flume in the dark, this is for you! Aha! The second "scare land" of the park. Here you can find wandering and frightened ghost patrons that once lived in The Ghastly Manor. The Ghastly Manor will remain open throughout the night and a "Ghost Tour" will take place through the hills around The Ghastly Manor. Note: This attraction will be terrifying and may not be suitable for people with heart conditions. The sun is setting... and the fun will begin soon! And I forgot to mention, Dark Castle will also be transformed into a Scare Maze that will follow along the ride's tracks. Don't worry, it won't be running!
  2. A few weeks after Universal Orlando announced the opening of EarthSea Wonder Park, they announced a media event would be hosted about the completion of the park's first land, Harbor of Discovery! I jumped on the idea and would tag along with my friend (who works for a local Orlando website about Universal, Disney and SeaWorld). The event started late in the afternoon and it was great to see what was finished so far! I hope I don't get in trouble for posting these photos.... Just outside the entrance. Notice anything above those buildings? I tried to ask the park official who gave us loads of information on this new park, but he refused to say anything... The right-side of the entrance. Once you walk through the park entrance, you're immersed into this Italian sea-side village. This is on the left-side, where you can see Sea Port Goods, a full-service restaurant that will serve gourmet dishes. This is the right-side, looking towards the entrance. You can see the central fountain in this shot. Another shot of the right-side. Overall, I'm pleased with the "feel" Universal has managed to give off with 'Harbor of Discovery'. I can't wait for the next media event/announcement from Universal!
  3. I like it. It "screams" Six Flags to me. However, it seems like you're moving way too fast. And I agree with SoCal, you need a little more attention to detail and to actually listen to constructive criticism people give you. Looking forward to the next update!
  4. I fail to see how Cedar Point is better than Tokyo DsneySea and Islands of Adventure...
  5. "Step into a new experience dedicated to the ocean and land and where they join together to be one whole Earth. Discover your imagination and learn a few things along the way at Universal Orlando Resort's new EarthSea Wonder Park!" - Universal's EarthSea Wonder Park's dedication. The park will be located south of Islands of Adventure and Universal's City Walk. Guests can access the park by a new system of covered moving sidewalks that takes them from City Walk and to the entrance of the park. It will be located very close to the new Cabana Bay Beach Resort. We have decided to release a few pictures of the current entrance plaza that is still in the process of construction. Under these structures will be bag check and ticket scanners. To the right, guests can find an A.T.M. and what will be will-call. To the left, guests will easily be able to find the restrooms. The entrance plaza and "main-street" will be the Mediterranean Harbor and will lead guests to their adventure where they can explore themed lands that all relate back to one theme... where the Earth meets the Sea! Stay tuned for more teaser and construction photos, courtesy of Universal Orlando photographers!
  6. It's funny that you posted that, because I was planning an update today. I just haven't had access to my game for a while. -------- Long time no see? I finally returned back to Kodiak Hills after a month and things have changed... such as ticket pricing. What once was a $35.00 entrance fee is now up to $42.00. Season passes are now going up to $110.00. Anyways... on with the physical changes. Peril Shaft was removed just about a week ago. The final rides were held on August 16th. Can't say it was my favorite, but I'm looking forward to future expansion. Blue Ridge has closed for 3 weeks to a complete track re-paint. Kodiak Hills has posted this photo on their Facebook page on the new colors that Blue Ridge will be opening with. The final major change is The Great Grizzly's new paint job. The coaster just re-opened 2 days ago with this sleek black paint job. Stay tuned for more!
  7. Hollywood Rip, Ride, RockIt, Dragon Challenge (why the re-name ), Hollywood Dream (yuck), Boomerang: Coast to Coaster (or just Boomerang), Scream.

  9. Living in Jacksonville, my home park is Wild Adventures.... So, Cheetah!
  10. Oh of course. I was just there Tuesday! I don't think I've ever seen a rude or mean castmember. And you're going to work at Tower of Terror? I'm jealous.
  11. Ugh, I heard Walt Disney Studios was awful. And "Toy Story Land" would definitely be awful. And I'm not even sure about the "Monsters Inc. door coaster" rumor that's been floating around forever. It just doesn't sound appealing.
  12. ^DHS already has Toy Story Midway Mania, if that's what you meant. And I don't know about a Toy Story Land. DCA has Cars Land and WDS has the Toy Story Land. What about Monsters Inc? Or just a mixed bag of different Pixar themed rides and shops, since that area is called Pixar Place. They could even re-theme Honey I Shrunk the Kids play area to A Bugs Life.
  13. Yeah, especially on the WDW forums, they think that WDW is constantly neglected and that DLR gets all the attention. DCA was a failing park. They needed Cars Land and Buena Vista Street. I mean, I will admit that some things need attention at WDW such as some of the Epcot pavilions, but it doesn't mean that Disney is neglecting WDW, they just had to momentarily direct all their attention to DCA to save it. So my point is, you're right and you really can't trust the "hardcore" WDW fans. And yes, I'd LOVE to see more Pixar attractions and more Lucas attractions.
  14. Ah, okay. That puts it in a different perspective. I just jump with joy at the sound of anything happening or changing at the Studios.
  15. DHS to get DCA make-over? This is from Al Lutz at Mice Age. Here's a link to the full report, although the rest is all about DL: http://miceage.micechat.com/allutz/al073112a.htm Once again, I found this on WDWMagic. The Studios are very important to me, but do you think this is true? And if it is, would TDO ruin it?
  16. Are you kidding? I loved that movie! The minions are chaotic and crazy, and are perfect for a wild simulator.
  17. I say an extension of Pixar Place. NO Cars Land though. That deserves to be only at DCA.
