I have a lot of dreams where I'm on Bizarro @ SFNE, but it's a B&M, and it's painted it's original Superman colors. For some reason, after I go through the tunnel I reach the top of the next hill, and fly out of the train. I fall on my face and then I forget what happens.

NEVER. I REPEAT NEVER, HEAD TO GOLIATH FIRST. It is a mad rush of people pushing their way up the hill. You will get seriously injured. Not to mention, if you are in the middle of the pack, by the time your in line, you'll be waiting about 30-40 mins. And Six Flags New England doesn't have a parade. But I do agree about being there for opening. You can ride Bizarro twice, without waiting more than 20 mins for your second ride.

Rider requirements are also posted at the entrance to every ride. If they're ignored that's not really the park's fault. Yes, but then the guests would probably put up a fuss that they payed all the money to get into the park, just to find out that they couldn't ride. At least with it being online, the park could defend themselves.

Worst Ride Name
KoasterDan replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I actually think the two are creative but overused. Viper gives the image of a frightening snake (train) about to strike, and Goliath...well, it means big. SFMM's Goliath seemed pretty big to me. I think that Goliath was a good name for SFOG's and SFMM's, but that's it. I don't think Goliath was a good fit for SFNE's. It just doesn't seem right. Yes, it's big, but when I think of Goliath, I'm thinking Green/Orange. Not: Outrageous Green and Hyper Blue, like the media day t-shirts said. -

You should have no problems with Quassy. I attended what management said was their busiest day of the 2011 season, and my longest wait was 30 mins for Wooden Warrior. You can easily get the park finished in 3 hours. It's good that you are going to do Quassy and Lake Compounce in the same day because they are relatively close to one another compared to SFNE which is an hour and a half in the other direction. If you have a choice of where to stay in the area, stay near SFNE for a hotel. Driving from SFNE to LC/Quassy is almost completely on the highway, with the only time you aren't on the highway being the 5-10min drive in the park's town. Just to touch on some of I mean Red's tips, - If you are concerned about riding Goliath, buy a Platinum Flash Pass, as that is the only flashpass available for Goliath. Otherwise be prepared for 1hr+ wait. - Food at SFNE is your typical over-priced meals, so if you don't want to pay, pack a lunch/ buy a grinder from a Subway. There is also a McDonald's close by, and an Ice Cream building that serves cheaper meals. Don't forget that Fright Fest doesn't allow re-entry after 4pm. - If they bring back the Fright Fest magic show for 2012, WATCH IT! It is amazing, and since the park hired the guy who performs that show every year for their summer show lineup, I'm sure he'll have a Fright Fest show. Oh yeah, one last tip, watch out for our SLC. It's not very comfy. Haha

This really is a sticky situation. Unfortunately, even though the park wouldn't allow him to ride, they made the right move. I don't know if the park has all the disability requirements listed on their website, but if not, they should do that. This would prevent them from any issues over guests not being aware of the requirements. Pretty much everyone has a computer, or can go to a library that has one these days. It's a shame to see situations like this.

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said

I was 6 years old when I was going to ride my first looping coaster-- Anaconda @ Kings Dominions. My cousin (who is the same age as me), uncle, other cousin (I think 18 at the time) and me, were all waiting for the same row. My cousin and uncle went on the ride before us, as it was a 2 person to each row train. My cousin balled her eyes out as the train left the station. It got me so scared. The cousin who I rode with (the 18 year old one), assured me I would be fine, and I loved the ride. The loops felt awesome, and I loved the first drop into the water!

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
KoasterDan replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I overheard two people talking about Bizarro at Six Flags New England. Guy 1 "Dude, did you see what they did to the superman?" Guy 2 "No, what did they do?" Guy 1 "They took the first drop, and made it 100ft higher!" I've been so annoyed listening to all these confused GP talk about Bizarro's transformation for the past 4 years. -
Worst Ride Name
KoasterDan replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Any park that names their Boomerang coaster "Boomerang", should be instantly slapped in the face. I hate that name with a passion. -
Pretty much everyday this season that I've gone to SFNE (10 times) there has been no stacking. They have had 4 ride attendants, fast loading times, and they were sending trains out of the station just before the other train reached the brakes. I give them a lot of credit. They have also kept the audio very consistent this year.

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
KoasterDan replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My last coaster I rode was Flashback at Six Flags New England. I've fallen in love with it ever since Goliath made it a walk-on. -
