Downtime generally would translate to lack of safety. Most times, if a ride is experiencing downtime, it wouldn't be safe to ride. Anyway, I wasn't trying to start a huge argument when I made the comment about Star Flyer's reliability, I was just explaining how safe it was to everyone who was saying that a 385ft Star Flyer with chairs held up is very scary. I wonder when they will clear the ride. I believe the zoning board was checking out the site this morning.

The landscaping of Goliath looks a lot better, and more appealing than green water, and run down props from the days of Shipwreck Falls. Edit: Six Flags New England will be getting the world's largest star flyer! They said it at the meeting. It'll probably be 390-400 ft tall! There's a zoning board meeting Monday I believe, and as long as it passes that SFNE will be on track to make a record holder for 2013. Link is here.

You can bring in bottled water, like Dasani or Poland Spring, it has to be in a clear plastic bottle though. The best time for the water park is from 11am-2pm, and the best time for the dry park is 10am-12pm and 3pm-6pm. Check out Goliath around 3pm and it'll have a 30 mins or less wait. Best seats for each coaster are: Cyclone- Front for smooth, back for insane ejector. Pandemonium- Doesn't matter because it spins. Thunderbolt- Front, not a lot of airtime due to trims on final bunny hop. Bizarro- Front will be an amazing ride, but be prepared to wait an extra 30-40mins, back is insane and you'll only have to wait about 3-4 trains once in the station. Mind Eraser- SLC, so I suggest front for the smoothest ride. Batman- Front, but they do assigned seating, if you ask they may let you take front. Goliath & Flashback- Back gives the best first drop, but front is smoothest all around. Gotham City Gauntlet- I think the front gives a little more leg room, but it doesn't matter much, it's still a mouse. The other two (The Great Chase and Catwoman's Whip) are kiddy coasters.

What is your favorite Roller Coaster?

El Toro. It conquers all, including Bizarro. -
Yes, as long as I'm in the front. Is Top Thrill Dragster the best coaster at Cedar Point?

I'm so happy they are doing this. It's not worth it to pay over $250 per night at some of these other USO resorts, when there are $90 or $100 options just across the street. I'm probably not going back to Florida until 2015, so by then, the hype may have gone down, and I'll book a few nights at it for when I'm at Universal.

The problem with putting it there is the height restrictions. The town is very stubborn about letting the park build tall rides, and If they are in Crack Axle Canyon, I believe they are inside the buffer zone. They could have a better chance to build a 200ft or taller version if they stay away from the road.

What is your next park?

Unless I go to Six Flags New England again before the 14th, it will be Lake Compounce. Gotta get my Boulder Dash on! -
Sorry for the double post, but plans have been sent into the town for a Skyscreamer in 2013. There is a town meeting tonight to discuss the plans for it and get approval. Rumor also has it that there may be another attraction added to the water park for 2013. I'll get back to everyone once I find out how the meeting went.

Surprised to see such love for a wooden coaster which is just "above average" in a park which has the awesome thunderbolt! I LOOOOOOVE Thunderbolt! The ride is pure fun! I also love how the cars flex, though when I pointed it out to the bf, he freaked out. I totally agree. Anyone else love the sound when it reaches the top of it's lift hill? It sounds like a crackling noise. When I was there yesterday, they weren't using Thunderbolt's trims on the last bunny hop, and there was insane airtime. I came 4-5inches out of my seat. I've never gone that far up on Thunderbolt!

Lifeguards have to be at least 15 years old, and certified. SFNE had them take 3 12-Hour classes too, along with their actual waterpark training. A lot of the younger life guards work at the lazy river, where the water is only a few feet deep, and there are lifeguards every 50ft from eachother. Just because I'm 14 doesn't mean I don't know lifeguards who are older. Most of the kids in my grade are 15, and I know lifeguards who are 15,17,18, and 20.

They won't use all of the slides on a weekday until late June. A large amount of their lifeguards are in highschool. I know about 10 of the lifeguards at SFNE. They are all in school still. I wouldn't run to Goliath in the morning because it's a mad rush, and it's not even one of the best rides in the park. Bizarro, Batman, Scream, and in my opinion Cyclone, are all better. There's a good chance that the ride will take a little while to open too, and then with the fact of it being a boomerang it has horrible capacity. I would get in line when everyone is eating dinner, that would probably result in the shortest wait, being somewhere around 30 mins. Although Goliath takes crowds away from Bizarro, when it's the summer, Bizarro will reach an 1hr+ waits consistently throughout the day. I would go to that first.
