  2. The most simple way to switch those brakes off would be to move those magnets away from the place where the plates (attached to the train) will pass by. However, I'm not sure if that would be possible with B&M because of the lack of space under the trains. I know that, with krake (heide park), they just move he brake fins down but that one is different from every other of their rides, so..
  3. ^&^^ Both of your explanations are possible. I know companies like intamin just move the fins up and down and it is true that running a specific current can neutralize a magnetic field. However, I was specifically asking about B&M. Originally I thought they just moved them to the side (just like their friction brakes only further away) but now I'm not so sure.
  4. I believe you can. I just don't know exactly how. Does anyone know?
  5. Nice! Thanks for posting.

  7. The thing is, sometimes, a coaster might not be so rough but because of the restraints, it seems rougher. I'm not doubting you've had rough rides on dominator at all. It's just that B&M OTSR allow for very little roughness, I mean, it is not necessary for a ride with those to be very rough for it to be uncomfortable due to how close they are to your head. Most of us (me including) tent to think of discomfort rather than actual shakiness. So as many wooden coasters have rather "loose" lapbars it will require a lot more roughness to start feeling some pain. Mantis, for example, is very uncomfortable, but I feel that, in terms of "pure roughness" it is not as bad as other rides like Blue Streak that, because of the type of restraints, kind of make people "forgive it". Hope I've made myself clear.
  8. This ride seems to have a much better pacing than I thought it would have (especially for the inline or heartline roll). Glad everyone is pleased.
  9. ^That's what I thought. There are a few rides not popular among us that the GP loves but that doesn't appear to be the case. The same goes for gatekeeper: I haven't heard many people saying: OMG that was awesome! Given this, would find it odd (to say the least) that they would do such thing. (but who knows....)
  10. Not reading any book right now. I guess I'll read a few short stories by Edgar Allan Poe as I've read a few and really enjoyed them.
  11. ^Was X-flight so successful that they would make a clone? All I've heard about it was... meh....
  12. I didn't find it terribly rough but I do remember riding it just after a nice meal and I could feel my stomach bouncing about a bit.
  13. ^I totally forgot they had been involved in its construction.
  14. ^Isn't it like 3 years or something? (the average time it takes since planning until opening of a ride)
  15. Great to see B&M getting some love for a new coaster. How I wish I could be there...
  16. ^Lot's of angry Mexicans (and also Italians) out there waiting for you now!

  18. ^Interesting that you say there were walking around with RMC jackets. I thought that they would try to "hide" this, maybe.
  19. ^Holy crap! I had no idea one or two ballots could make such a big difference.
  20. ^I've also asked this question and, so far, nobody has complained. The answer I got was:
