  1. I'm at the park now and with the new security checks the line is a good 30-45 min just to get in the park at 3pm. It will be worth it to ring in the new year though.
  2. We are ringing in the New Year @ Seaworld Orlando tomorrow night.

  4. New for 2016 (and only 2016): Dinosaurs! http://www.wildadventures.com/PlanYourVisit/Newfor2016/tabid/834/Default.aspx?icid=Dinosaurs%20Announcement%20R What a complete let down (for me anyway). I did enjoy my visit to this park a few years ago. However for me to return I need more than a smaller version of Dinosaurs Alive! to get me in the gates again. I'm sure it will be a hit with the intended target audience. It is more family oriented than the thrill parks I generally prefer going to.
  5. The park should not be very busy at all, except perhaps Saturdays in January. I usually go on New Year's Day and the park is usually dead the first half of the day but I've never seen it get to crazy waits. Most rides will be a walk on. Cheetah Hunt will be a walk on if you head to it as soon as the rope drops but will still swell to the 30-60 minute range soon after mainly because the majority still heads that direction. One day is all you need for the rides , but I recommend 2 days if you fully want to enjoy the park to see some shows and all the animals.
  6. *Update* Fury 325! (Previous was Kraken @ SWO) Fury 325
  7. *Update* 1994: Hurler @ Carowinds 1997: Alpengeist @ BGW 1998: Volcano the Blast Coaster @ KD & Taxi Jam @ Carowinds 1999: Afterburn @ Carowinds, Apollo's Chariot @ BGW & Georgia Scorcher @ SFOG 2002: Ricochet @ Carowinds 2007: SheiKra (year it became floorless) @ BGT 2010: Air Grover @ BGT 2011: Cheetah Hunt @ BGT 2013: White Lighting @ Fun Spot America 2014: FireChaser Express @ Dollywood 2015: Fury 325 @ Carowinds
  8. I would disagree with this. I think they have good operation and much better than what I have experience at most cedar fair and six flags parks. I disagree as well. I will say I have only experienced slow operations on Montu ONCE as the ride operators didn't seem to have a sense of urgency and that was maybe 3 years ago. Other than that most of the employees are quite friendly and willing to assist.
  9. Call me weird but I think Wild Adventures could use a signature coaster. It's one of the closer parks to where I live and have only been once since I moved to FL in '09. It's a nice family park, but really only caters to locals (which may just be their purpose).
  10. Tennessee Tornado (for comfort) Loch Ness Monster (for nostalgia) Big Bad Wolf (for gone but not forgotten)
  11. ^I would assume they will be getting a season pass and intend on getting their money's worth....at least that's what I would do if I planned to spend more than 2 days at a park (like I did with Carowinds this year and Dollywood last year).
  12. ^Yes you need a separate ticket for SCarowinds. Many parks do not include halloween events in regular admission.
  13. Deputies investigating fight at amusement park during SCarowinds event
  14. Carowinds has 3 coasters in Planet Snoopy. It wouldn't be overkill at KD to add a 2nd. I think adding the newer model Vekoma Jr Suspended coaster would be a perfect fit to add to PS there at KD. The one at Fun Spot America in Orlando was quite comfortable.
  15. Because WOF now has to compete with schlitterbahn. MIA wont ever get a drop tower with there current head of maintenance. Skyhawk (even with its unoriginal name) looks fun! WOF is expanding Planet Snoopy. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1622805#p1622805
  16. UPDATED- Carowinds: Flying Super Saturator & Thunder Road BGW: Big Bad Wolf & Drachen Fire (Wild Maus moved to BGT) Kings Dominion: Shockwave SFOG: Viper BGT: Gwazi (Tiger & Lion)
  17. These were posted yesterday by WBTV in Charlotte. www.wbtv.com/category/178546/slideshow?widgetid=167108&slideshowimageid=1#.Vczb3ZCTJ4A.facebook (Here are some highlights; more in the slideshow) I saw elsewhere that the rest of the turnaround was demolished by the end of the day.
  18. Actually the ride is only 112 feet. The "mountain" structure is 199.5' tall. Expedition Everest on RCDB
  19. Well count me in as one of the complaining fans...since I don't care for waterparks. I'm sure it will be a big hit for those that love them. I don't think this justifies Thunder Road leaving. Will I live? Yes. Hell I live in FL now and can go to the beach anytime.
  20. Ok we get that you hate anything B&M...
  21. I've never had trouble getting around the park. I will say that it was probably more newbie friendly before they opened up the shortcut from Edge Of Africa to Nairobi when they built Cheetah Hunt. Now in order to see all the animals in Edge Of Africa, you have to do some backtracking in parts of it. Kumba may be off the main path, but it does circle around by Congo River Rapids back into Jungala so it's not that bad.
  22. SheiKra is 200' tall with 138' tall MCBR Griffon is 205' tall with 130' MCBR From the looks of it, if this is real it's just about right. It may be a longer brake run, but we don't know how many trains they intend to run on it or when the brakes actually start. If you look at both SheiKra & Griffon on satellite view (google or whatever) you will see that the brake runs are near the same length as the lift hill...much like the renderings for Valravn. Also since there appears to be no splash down to assist in slowing the trains down it makes perfect sense.
  23. ^I rather enjoyed Viking Voyage (Jackrabbit) on my visit to Wild Adventures. It was my favorite there....lol
