  1. I know tge isn't open until may 18th. But trying to plan a trip to la ronde and stop either on the way up or back for my last credit at tge. However, the Alpine Bobsled has eluded me twice(both visits I've made), anyone know if/when this coaster starts operation? Was thinking about the weekend of the 25th or perhaps later. thanks for any help.
  2. Almost didn't watch this because I saw the screaming squirrel in the poster. Glad I did that looked at least somewhat enjoyable, was the helix as shaky as it looked?
  3. I guess i'll humiliate myself by posting my video Not sure how this is supposed to work. http://player.vimeo.com/video/63738671 edit: so the embed code won't work here, I'm sorry.
  4. VTafro the credit whore. Last saturday included an early stop at six flags great adventure, a trip to brooklyn for some quality beer, and a devils game. Sunday was a credit trip to Bowcraft and wrestle mania. We got to the park between 9 and 9:15 grabbing one of the closest non-upchared parking spots. After a little breakfast we headed in for the season pass holders early entrance and "ERT" on nitro. Not sure if it was just because of the temperature or the wind but i haven't been on nitro before when it had that much of a B&M rattle; after 2 laps we had enough. After waiting for the rest of park to open, i finally got my credit on road runner railway a picture with proof is below. Who wants a video? After that two laps on kingda ka, still happened to be pretty windy, so neither ride was the best I've had on ka. Superman was our last target but with our agenda for the day we left the line after it was announced they would be adding a second train. This however allowed us to ride the skycoaster which was amazing sorry no photos we were both riding. Some great beer at TØRST in brooklyn, followed by another devils loss ended my day on a sad note. Sunday was a quick trip to bowcraft, go both credits in and left promptly after.Crossbow's operation was quite poor. Wrestlemania made for a great first wwe live event. Definitely an experience. Enjoy the picture below. FInally getting my last six flags great adventure credit Signage whores colorful sign They painted over the plaque of the scrambler crossbow drop no shelter makes for dirty train not in use. reminds me of so many better coasters wrestlemania 29
  5. This just makes me wish all B&M's were themed at least a little bit better. Wish Ill eventually get to ride this.
  6. That looked awesome, not sure if ill ever get to ride that model. RIP jet star in seaside, you were replaced by a lesser model that ended up in the ocean.
  7. That flat looked ridiculous, would like to know how that even works mechanically. The s&s launched looks like tons of fun.
  8. Fixed: we rode a sky coaster at six flags great adventure on Saturday. Was awesome.
  9. A little upset with myself, still have yet to ride a sky coaster. Will need to remedy that soon.
  10. Are you sure you understand the meaning of the word "unfortunately"? Some people love pain... To be fair the video makes this SLC not look as awful as most are. I know of an SLC in my future on the midwest trip
  11. Wasn't too busy today, however nitro and batman had long lines due to single train operation... El Toro had both trains going and kingda kas crew was actually doing pretty good today. If its as nice tomorrow as it was today I would expect some decent crowds.
  12. Watching that POV, it looks less awful then the Steamin' Demon. Although that's probaby not saying much.
  13. Bowcraft, for getting the credits distance wise closest to me. After that: More six flags great adventure Quassy Six flags ne Canobie lake Like compounce Holiday world and beech bend in June(Holiwood nights) And more to come
  14. Skyscreamer and kingda ka were down when the wind was a problem. Road Runner Railway closed after a guy got stuck on it, Blackbeard's Lost Treasure Train was closed(afaik), and superman/nitro had some time when they were down although probably not that long for each. The rapids and the log flume were closed.
  15. Not quite sure. Although this past saturday was pretty quiet. I can't imagine a very crowded park unless the temperature rises a ton by then.
  16. SFGAdv had some interesting quirks on opening day. Batman with one train, actually asked everyone to get off the train and wait in the queue. Not sure if thats what the need to do or if they could have just let us wait while in the train for more riders. We were told due to the weather the train needed more riders to cycle. More importantly the scrambler(deja-vu) had the slowest operator i have ever seen. If most people didn't let themselves out of there 'cars' and buckle themselves in. The 5 minutes between ride stop and ride start would have easily been 10. Otherwise everything was pretty good.
  17. On saturday Stacy and I, made a trip to Six Flags Great Adventure, only about an hour away . Seemed like the cool temperature and early opening kept the crowd away. This was good since el toro, batman, rolling thunder(not really an issue), and nitro were only running one train. Unfortunately we left before kingda ka started up(wind probably keeping it not in operation for the beginning part of the day, since skyscreamer also was not always running) due to a devils game that evening. But we got in an these rides: el toro, rolling thunder, bizarro x3, mine train, sky ride(more for convenience, although the wind made it more sketchy), skull mountain, (missed out on my last credit: guy got stuck in kiddie coaster), batman x3, dark nightx2(re-ride), nitro, deja-vu, and green lantern. Superman was "closed" after green lantern nbd(was running when we made it to the parking lot). Photos: How i missed the anticipation of entering a park. hmm that coaster isn't from here... Which coaster should i ride first... el toro of course courtesy riding new lockers? 4 is better than 2 dirt the ride, also missing the orphaned theming could use some fresh paint wishing ours was going backwards hmm a flat, let me ride this info boardwalk loops green lantern, was happy to hear the oath next time, i will ride you next time not sure why but i liked this ad.
  18. El toro ended up being the first of 2013 with shagan6.
  19. Amusements parks, like cedar point, kings dominion and six flags are great, roller coasters make the park. However, Dollywood and Busch gardens do both and do them well, not sure if that nullifies my vote.
  20. If I can't pick both, I pick iron rattler because i will be riding it first, I think.
  21. Ouch this one hurts, may have done this in November.
  22. Unless its east coast bash @ Kings dominion.
